Friendly atmosphere, great drinks and great staff

Very good pub excellent beer and friendly bar staff

This was a lovely countryside pub

We stopped for lunch, soup was great. The lunch was well prepared and the staff took care of us very well.

Good local pub, friendly crowd and surprisingly busy, cheap beer and very clean place.

Great bunch of locals.. always some good chat.. cheap pint! :)

Nice little village pub with a friendly atmosphere. It's my family's local and although I don't go there very often any more I always feel welcome when I do!

Cheap and good beer. Always good ales on, mostly local. Good selection of lager and spirits and a cracking pint of guiness! A great, well kept pool table with lots of room around it. A good jukebox with pretty much everything you can think of on it. Nice outside area for when its sunny. Covered smoking area for those of us still trying to kick the habit. The Manager/Owner very cheerful and witty, and the other barman we met has a very unique but enjoyable sense of humour. Have stopped here many, many times and bought friends who have always returned with, or without us. Keep up the great work, there should be more pubs like this little gem.

Quite an old looking place but most pubs are these days! Great bar man (owner i think) had a lovely chat about the area with him. Great place to pop into for a drink, they play the sports on the tv which is a bonus

A non existent experience. Despite an advertising board on the canal which showed 7 day a week opening from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. the pub was very definitely shut at 2.p.m. when we made the 10 minute walk from the canal.
