Great location , lovely food , helpful efficient staff !

We called in for Sunday lunch on the off chance, Sunday 28th July, lovely welcome from the staff, the roast beef lunch was the best we've tasted anywhere for a very long time, our new favourite place,

Used the Plough for a wake for a family member. Stephanie was great put on a wonderful spread, service at the bar was fast and everyone there was understanding and compassionate. Made a sad day go much smoother and easier.

Lovely lunch Steak and Ale pie really tasty ,and real chips, would definitely recommend.

Attended as a family for Sunday Dinner. The service was friendly and patient, especially with so many different orders and the children being VERY specific about their food. When it arrived it was tasty, hot and with decent portions. I had the turkey, which came with a surprise pig-in-blanket, so I was happy. The beef and pork were well received by those who chose it. Thanks, Plough & Harrow. P.S. plenty of parking here. Bonus!

Friendly pub with good food. Dogs were welcome in the bar.

early days for new landlords could be a goldmine of a pub once things get going need to get the locals back potential to be a fantastic village pub great catchment area

Came today for Sunday dinner as usually go to the Eagle. Was more expensive and awful. Beef wasn't nice. Yorkshire puddings were black and burnt wish I would have taken photos. The roast potatoes were hard in the middle taste like frozen ones. Very tastless.

Held a wake for the passing of my mother on 13th of June, what a buffet, plenty of choice, everyone who attended was amazed at the quality and amount of choice, would highly recommend The Plough and Harrow to friend's and family. Thank you for the great service.

We tried lunch for the first time since new management. Beautiful Sunday lunch, it was really tasty and generous portions. We will definitely be returning, lovely fresh look decor inside with plenty of seating outside aswell . Perfect!!!

Don’t bother if you have any dietary requirements or like a nice atmosphere/even vaguely polite service. Absolutely shocking service. Started oddly when despite there only being 3 tables seated (on a Friday night..) they only had one menu for us to share between the 3 of us on the table. When it came to someone coming to take our order we informed the man (white shirt and trousers, older, assume manager or owner?) that one of our party can’t eat dairy. He huffs. We enquire about a specific dish- does it contain dairy? He stomps off to the kitchen (more huffing) to see if it’s on their gluten free list(?!) and informs us it has dairy in. It was made abundantly clear at this point we were a hassle and it was really uncomfortable. We ask if we could have information on what may not have dairy. More huffing. He goes off to get his phone and scrolls mumbling “milk…milk..” - no closer really to knowing what is edible for her. Eventually we ask if she can just have the chicken breast without the dairy elements (chicken breast stuffed with mozzarella, wrapped in bacon. With fried potatoes and leek sauce- £18) and he replies “the chef will be effing and blinding at me but I’ll ask” He huffs off to the kitchen, chef comes out, mr white shirt comes back out again, walks directly past us, and LEAVES THE PUB. We waited 10 minutes before deciding this wasn’t a place to give our money to. Young bar staff appeared mortified and very apologetic- they had no idea what was going on either. Never felt like more of an inconvenience or unwanted in a place that is really at the upper price end for a casual pub food too (everything £17+) can’t see how anyone can think this kind of “service” is acceptable. Maybe a sign on the door saying “dietary requirements not welcome” would be helpful for all to avoid these situations

Not returned to this pub for many, many years. What a pleasant experience. Great menu choice, see the specials. Good service and a clean and pleasant environment. Portions are massive and quality is excellent. Definitely one to return, thank you and see you all soon.

Really disappointed to report that last week customers were vaping inside the pub. This is illegal for a start and was disappointed to see staff did nothing. Other customers shouldn't be subjected to second hand 'smoking' whilst trying to support a local pub.

Food was delicious and kids food was really good portion they don't use cheap patties, even for the kids it was a fresh patty

Stopped here for lunch, the lunch menu was well prices and the steak was good. Enjoyed it and reasonably priced.

New owners,with a new update.Very classy,only been open for a fortnight so a bit quiet at the moment,but word get's around.Handy for the motorway and local amenities.

Called there on the off chance for dinner / tea. Food was lovely but in my opinion way overpriced.... can't justify the price on the beer or the food . Unfortunately will not go back .. Too expensive

Popped In Friday night as it was Santa's parade in the village, ok but thought just over £12 for 2 glasses of wine was expensive.

We'd ordered a buffet for a Wake, and were pleasantly surprised at both the quality and quantity of food supplied. Currently there was no Chef available for on house food, but hopefully soon they'll be back on stream. Very accommodating staff.

Only go here to meet up with friends. Beer and largers are always good.

Yes The Plough was clean and drinks reasonably priced. Stopped for a drink and would definitely visit again. The pub is large offering plenty of space for its customers. There are seats outdoors with good views at the back of the premises. Great visit.

Went there for our grandson's after football tournament get together. The manager of the team had organised sausage and chips for the kids. Plenty to go round. Good pub, good service and atmosphere for the kids (under 6's) great. But please do not advertise real ales on your signs outside the pub if you don't have any!!!! At least 2 real ale lines there but when I asked what ales were on, landlord (? Not sure if he was) said sorry we've no real ale on!!! Poor

Had a drink here with husband on good Friday, beautiful day. Haven't visited plough for many years. Nice and clean, was ok, but no atmosphere, maybe different in the evening to when we visited in the afternoon. one staff member pleasant other enough to put you off!! Prices were ok ish, about £2 more than in town for 2 pints.

The food was fantastic but go on an empty stomach because the portion sizes were huge!

I would like to thank the chefs, the cooks and all the staff for an absolutely delicious 3 course Sunday lunch. I would highly recommend this place to everyone who is looking for quality food, starters, dinners and desserts, totally stunning !!

Visited after a large funeral. Long wait for drinks as pumps not primed in advance of our arrival, wasted a load of drink running off several of the taps! Buffet was ok but nothing special. Was a little disappointed, shame really.

I visited on a Sat eve for dinner with a friend. Although there were other people in the lounge we appeared to be the only people eating . The bar next door was busy and we could hear customers cheering for thier sporting team . The food was ok with good size portions .Steak and pudding was £20. The staff were attentive but a bit clueless . Possibly new in post as every question was met with the need to check out with someone else . This was a first visit but sadly probably the last as there was no atmosphere or real identity as a restaurant. Such a shame as I am sure it has the potential to be really good.

Very good service and pleasant surroundings

We went to the Christmas light switch on and had some food and drink , it was very busy as you would expect and the staff coped well in all fairness the food was great value for money and very good potion sizes, we can't wait to go back and try it again. 👍

I attended a funeral party on the 9th at this establishment and as a caterer myself I found after being told by a member of the family the cost per head of the buffet that it was extortionate in comparison to the food on offer. It was stodgy , and not much variety catering for 60 people . Shame on you taking advantage of a grieving family , while I understand the hospitality industry has struggled due to covid the mark up on food is very high. A normally empty pub with a good turnover on the bar too, due to mourners having a good drink for their beloved son , sibling, friend.

It saddens me to write this review especially as it was for my nephews Craig Matwychuk’s funeral Which a lot of his friends from Llangyfelach attended We were charged £11 50 per head £720 in total Most people I spoke to were very disappointed at this price considering the buffet was egg rolls , Chicken drumsticks , onion Bhajis , sausage rolls , pasties etc all cheap buffet food for 60 people Disgusting how the new managers of the plough and harrow can justify this pure greed Craig’s brother Michael was told when he went to pay for it before hand once it’s gone there will be no more I would not recommend using this pub for any events much more welcoming to go to the KINGS HEAD on Llangyfelach road who would be so much friendlier I have wrote with Craig’s parents knowledge

The car very chef do not believe in portion size when it comes to dishing out the meat - beef or turkey. Value for money

Nice large pub, big car park. Was here at a funeral. Lovely buffet, clean place, fab choice of drinks, reasonable prices, clean pretty toilets, lovely outside seating/smoking area They do meals but I've not sampled those yet.

I’ve been visiting this restaurant for the past couple of months . We’ve tried hundreds of places far and wide for a decent tasting lunch and this on seems to meet the needs. You choose your meats then there cut in front of you. No for people like me who hate having meat served as if wasnthinly cut with a laxer this is not the case.you get as much as you want so be carful in what you ask for. Your then let free to stack your plate with roasts veg mash potatoe again as much as you want. And the gravy sooo tasty the staff are brilliant run with a team of young girls there friendly very polite and efficient . Overall a great place to eat give it a try. My plate as shown is a bit over filled but hey I ate every last bit and it was well worth it trust me

Staff very accommodating. Did not book for lunch but got a table easily. Very quiet. The turkey etc was tasty but I'm afraid the plate was cold and food was luke warm. Coffee was hot and good.

Plenty of room dividers for your safety. Staff kept the tables clean at all times. Felt very safe.. Excellent service, very professional

Excellent atmosphere, with Morris Dancing, real ales, lots of parking, outside seating and a super friendly landlord and landlady. Amazing views over the nearby Brecon Beacons and historic church Tower. Highly recommended in a friendly village like location in North Swansea.

We nipped to the Plough and Harrow on the way home after being out all afternoon, as I was really really hungry! Rob kept looking at me in astonishment as I was hovering my food up like a Dyson! He has never seen me eat a meal so fast 🤣🤣🤣 I said multiple times 'I told you I was hungry!' I had teriyaki salmon and he had steak and ale pie with a mash topping.. Both our meals were lovely and I opted for the 🥝 & 🍉 limited edition gin which was rather yum too! Deffo full after that! Lovely food. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Gorgeous drinks. We had our wedding reception at the Plough and Harrow. It was a great day! Everything was just beautiful. The staff was lovely and the atmosphere was wonderful! The food and drink, divine! Thank you, Plough, for all the hard work!

Not the best meals. Food quite dry and slightly overcooked. Staff young but quite friendly. Refurbished interior and exterior areas improved and toilet facility was very clean.

Well organised in line with covid rules. I had hunters chicken. The meal was fantastic in fact their portions were very generous. We ate outdoors on two tables of five and everyone else said that the meals they had were beautiful. Some had steak beef or gammon and not one complaint. The meals were well cooked and presented

Didn't eat there but it took ages to order and receive drinks after getting the first round it was even worse trying for the second round not good but nice enough sitting outside in the sun.

Cold food waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for food food came with out cutlery some of the staff were useless Lowry and Kaitlin were brilliant condiments were dump on the table no presentation spoke to Rodhri explained it was training issues offered us complimentary coffee it was Kathy's birthday we expected better as we have had many of meal which has been good and our group spent over £ 2oo disappointed we have had food here on many occasions and has been good when Steve and Dell have been in charge

Awful food but let me set the scene. We arrive Monday evening pub more than half empty, asked if we had booked umm no. Took 3 of them to decide they could fit us in. No other diners turned up all evening. I ordered the pie off the menu , meant to come with mustard mash, carrots and peas. What turned up was plain lumpy mash, no veg just a spoonful of tinned mushrooms. With a gravy boat more like wall paper paste ! .When I complained I was told " oh we run out of veg earlier " they offered to cook some broccoli but said it would take 10 minutes !! The pie was horrible, fatty grisly meat, more tinned mushrooms, and a soggy chewy slice of frozen pastry on top .Can say it was the worse food I have ever been served in Wales. Staff all young and friendly, but seriously get a decent chef in, probably already got the sprouts on for Christmas. Definitely not going back!!

Second visit within 2 weeks, advisable to book a table.car park free to rear of building,very friendly staff, fast service. Local produce good quality food and plenty of portion size. Family friendly. Covid rules in place.
