Lovely place to eat, good food

Great place to eat nice deco not busy or loud and felt welcome with people I went with. No judgement Food was great and great vegan options Can't wait to return with family

Very disappointed with the food, couldn't eat the chips, the burger and bacon was cremated !

Found a table straight away, very pleasant bar person. Very knowledgeable on drinks and food. Food arrived in reasonable time. Some music playing in background but not too loud. Food was well priced and hit the mark being just basic enough but cooked and served to a great standard. Would come again for sure.

Great pub for a drink and will be going back again to try the food.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Have tried a fiew of the dishes now and they are all great from the chicken to the burgers. Highly recommended, we will be back soon!

Popped in for lunch today, the food was delicious and two main lunch meals for £18, bargain. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere calm and welcoming. The chicken burger and fries were delicious, the bbq sauce was especially tasty. My friend had the chicken noodles which again was tasty. All round a very nice lunch. Will definitely return.

Came in today (5 of us) 1st time since being refurbished, massive improvement, staff very pleasant, big improvement on food, if looking for pub food can’t really fault the Plough & Harrow, will come here again

First time we have eaten here and will not be returning. Food was not great quality and then I was very ill overnight.

Christmas eve, eve, our works mini get together. Although lots of customers who seemed happy and enjoying themselves, it wasn't that easy for others to manoeuvre past them to other tables and seating. Lady seated at a chair partially across main door into bar with her dog, another chair someone is seated at and someone standing at the bar, the walkway is completely blocked. Not that practical, can only imagine how wheelchair users or someone with walking sticks would feel. Might look good on plans but no good when there's bums on seats. Very dissapointed with price and quality of drinks. It was a Friday and first time visiting since refurb. Would have been nice to be told there was an offer on wine(thurs,fri,sat). I think it was £18 for a bottle of wine which wasnt enjoyed, yet a special offer on other wines buy two large glasses get rest of bottle free. Although food looked appealing we didn't get to sample it. After situation regarding drinks, felt we werent comfortable ordering food. Also it was fish Friday but they'd run out of fish? 5.30pm! No Christmas decorations. No Christmas music. No Christmas atmosphere. Didn't feel we were made welcome atall. Shame as we had been looking forward to returning. Can't believe the door on the ladies toilet still opens from the right, would be so easy, more practical to change it to the left. The new seating area in the garden looks very nice and I'm sure will be a hit for many. Sadly we won't return. Not that I think the staff will care.

We went here for food and a few beers as a friend has just moved in near and it was amazing. The food was top notch, great selection of beers, staff were amazing and the locals and the atmosphere was brilliant 👍. Can't wait to get back down there

Went to Plough and Harrow for father's day lunch and was left feeling a little bit underwhelmed. Service was great food and drinks came very quickly, but the food seems over priced for what we received. £13 for a carvery and I'm sure they were serving up with a tea spoon. The plate had tiny bits of mash, cauliflower cheese and veg. Then when the £6 chicken and chips turned up and there were only 2 slightly over cooked Chicken Goujons kinda felt a bit ripped off! Finally to top it all off pudding. So puddings were £6 each for a family of four thats £24 and after the portions we had for lunch, thought we'd give it a miss. Great staff and a good place to drink. But will think twice about eating there again.

Was here yesterday with family and friends we chose to have the new baguettes they had going and all were superb! We didn't have a full roast dinner, but we will be back to give them a try. Other family have tried the hot plated roasts and already said how they loved them! So we will be back! Can't fault the food.

Had two delicious all day breakfasts, the waitress was very friendly and the service good.However one of the party wanted cod and chips.We were told “ just to let you know it will be fish fingers” We asked if there would be any price reduction, which was greeted with a laugh! The other laugh was that it was Friday!! 😄

We were the only three people there during our visit so it's difficult to comment on what the atmosphere is like generally . I enjoyed the music playing in the background and the cold drinks served were fine. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. The menu which is very basic. Two items on the menu were not available. The food served was very uninspiring. Both my friends left a fair amount of their meal. Overall I was disappointed, which is a shame as the staff were great

Had Sunday lunch, was ok but I wouldn't rush back, used to be a carvery and was wonderful but now you just order, gravy was thin and watery and rotisserie chicken was dry and over cooked.

We went for a carvery because they used to do great dinners, unfortunately they stopped doing them 2 years ago. Went for mothers day and wasn't that impressed with Sunday roast dinner. Not like it used to be which is a shame. Food wasn't terrible but just not as nice as it once was. At least it still looks like it did inside. Can't say I would want to go again.

Came here for mothers day with my family amazing staff and amazing food can't fault it at all! My mother very much enjoyed it here, great portion sizes too even had room for the homemade cheesecake for myself and my mum had the homemade chocolate brownie.

Food was appaling - not a carvery anymore. Used to come here most Sundays when it was a carvery, real shame. Menu wasn't clear and had spelling mistakes. Beef was too tough to cut. The portions of veg and mash was that of a baby serving...cauliflower amd broccoli bake we literally a brocoli stem on the plate no cauliflower. Vegetables were not fresh as the menu stated they were frozen 😕. Hair in my moms food too (this was Mother's Day we visited) Gammon was pale like Turkey and extremely salty. Not prewarned about extra charges (not on menu either) for gravey, although the amount put on the plate was next to nothing to begin with so the additonal gravy was needed and we got the charge removed. I went to this pub last week to have a roast dinner which I was looking forward to as I’ve heard soo many good things about this place. When my roast dinner arrived it was partly cold,tasted like cardboard, I had literary a table spoon of mash on my plate. I saw a barmaid clearing a table beside me and she put the napkins back on the pile to reuse clearly didn’t realise I spotted her! This put me off my food even more (if that’s possible) would not reccomend. Save your money and cook at home.

We booked ours Xmas Dinner a month before, I specially asked for a request for mine and my daughter vegetarian meals. We was the first people to arrived at the table and they have got mine and my daughter main meals wrong, they put sausages & bacon on my vegetarian plate but my request that i asked for was wrong. So my husband and my daughter was eating theirs meals while I was waiting for mine to be cooked for about 5 mins. But we all wasn't happy with the mains meals and the roast potatoes wasn't nice, and it wasn't enough turkey on my husband plate and I could say more, but the only things we was happy with is the starter and the pudding was gorgeous. We have paid alots of money for ours 1st Christmas Day meals we haven't been for years, it was a big let down and we wasn't very happy.

Visited for a psychic event one evening - I have driven past this pub so many times so I was glad to finally visit! Staff were very friendly, drinks reasonably priced and the pub is very clean and well kept. The food included with the ticket price was very average but I’m sure on a normal occasion it would be more stand out! I look forward to visiting again.

Visited for the first time today and was very impressed. the service was great and the food was exceptional. I had the homemade lasagna and it did not disappoint. large portion with chips and garlic bread. great price too. This pub should be busier with this quality of food. Will definitely visit again

Lovely beer but not many customers how unusual

Popped in after a long day with my other half whilst driving past and decided we were too lazy to cook dinner that night. Although it was quiet, the staff were super friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Food was brought out quickly, piping hot and fresh to boot. Beer tasted good too. Just a shame they had no ale on that week!

Food was great, Friendly staff it was a little quiet when we went so couldn't judge the atmosphere but the decor and aesthetics were nice.

Lovely little pub with huge outdoor area with patio & grass area. Held my daughters birthday party and the staff were more than accommodating! Have also tried their food and can’t fault it. Have been told they will be doing more Gluten free stuff soon (they do some already) ❤️ Will definitely be a regular occurrence.

Popped in for a quick meal on way back from boys footy training, very quiet in there. Service 10/10, food very good fresh and piping hot couldn’t ask for more and will deffo be back.

Not very impressed 4 drinker's and only use 2 dinner and still had to wait 40 minutes for meal and even got that wrong

Lovely quaint little pub with excellent food! Compliments to the chef for his hard work in delivering a 1st class service! Highly recommended the Rotisserie chicken and Prawn cocktail starter. Will definitely be visiting again in the future.

The staff are very friendly and polite. The food was excellent so compliments to the chef 👨‍🍳. Cleared table as soon as finished meal. The decor of the pub is clean and well maintained. Looking forward to sitting outside in the large beer garden.

Had a meal with two of my friends ,the place was empty should have realized , the food was so bad i had cold chicken with hot sauce over it and my friend had ham that was so salty she could not eat it . A nice lady served us, someone should snap her up and give her good job

Top job. The homemade pie is soooo good. Made me tell my children I don't even love them I swear to god. AND THE BANGERS N MASH. STRAIGHT MADE ME SELL MY CAR AND BUY A HORSE. ARE YOU CRAZY!!!!!

Came with my girlfriend the best steak I have ever in my life eaten the chips was as if Jesus him self made them and the home made pies was to die for!! I would recommend to anyone very friendly staff will be coming back

Me and my friends went to celebrate my friends birthday so disappointed the food was awful I had ham and eggs the ham was a grey colour and so salty my eggs was burnt my friends had chicken it was cold they had poured hot sauce over it it was awful would never go there again

I've got to say I've never been to an establishment more exquisite than this pub! Lovely decor, lovely people and top tier grub! Also the quiz they put on every Tuesday is always a good craic!

Sunday carvery far to expensive at £11.95 must be the dearest in the area. Staff ok but food not too good.

Carvery for a fiver, what can go wrong. Good portion and great food. Staff very polite and friendly. Going back Thursday to make sure it was that good

We went for a Monday night carvery and it was so good! Proper Yorkshires, yummy gravy. So so good for a fiver. We will definitely be back and will have pudding next time!

Went for the carvery deal on Mondays and it was good value for the serving size. At the time it was £5 per head (adults and children) .. I had beef and turkey with my fave trimmings... Nice staff atmosphere and it was very clean. Definitely will be back for the deal.

First time here since before the covid pandemic but was disappointed with the carvery. It used to be our favourite place for carvery but it's not a patch on how it used to be. Won't be rushing back unfortunately 😕

This public house is just fantastic the staff actually outclassed the food ,which ,was tasty well cooked and a great value for money.they keep the pub clean and tidy large toilet, small car park small prices big fun big taste...try it once if you dont mind where you eat good food.xx

Great. Carvery was delicious. Small warm and cosy. Puddings offered looked and tasted delicious. Even had dairy free and gluten free!

Never been before but went to try and have a Sunday Carvery. Staff were ignorant to customers rather talk amongst themselves waited a long time to be served. On website stated Sunday carvery was £8.95 so surprised to see it was £11.95 !! So just ordered a drink. Carpet and overall cleanliness was disgusting so left after one drink. Tables left with plates half full from a left over lunch badly run ... Will not venture there again.

First time since last visit 2yrs ago Then ok for quick budget carvery but nothing to write home about, this time visited 1.30 PM,,pub 25% full lots of meat.veg and roast spuds fresh.beer good. Excellent food for a fiver each.will go again soon .
