A great pub with a local feel, plenty of room, a good range of drink options and an excellent food menu. The staff are all very friendly and polite and you always feel welcome. They have a separate restaurant area that can be used for private functions and a large beer garden that is popular on the sunny days. Plenty of onsite parking available and they are dog and child friendly.

First time here tonight with my Daughter and Son in Law A little hidden gem what a beautiful place . The food was beautiful. Lovely laid back atmosphere. Staff very attentive and polite. I will definitely be going back there again

Dropped in on the off chance they were still serving food ,,,result , great steak burger and piri piri chicken plus drinks had a real present night made to feel very welcome

Great community pub always friendly decent beer

Food was well cooked and well presented. Slightly expensive and all the sauces we got were almost empty. Lucky the table behind gave us theirs. Good selection of beers but could do with another stout other than Guinness

Stopped in for some dinner and a couple of drinks while on our way past. Clean venue and attentive barmaid/waitress. Very mediocre food, and steep prices for a JW Lees. Burger, and cheese and onion pie with two drinks was nearly £40. Burger was definitely bought in, potato as a filler in the cheese and onion pie. Some chips weren't fully cooked. Would possibly stop in on another hot day while walking past for a quick drink. But definitely wouldn't have food again.

We went to The Plough on June 7th for my 60th Birthday lunch. I have to say that the food was the best ‘pub food’ we’ve ever had. It was so fresh, piping hot and big portions. We will definitely be returning again. Lovely friendly staff too.

Love coming here for both food which is always made with great pride and tastes great & for drinks it has a relaxed atmosphere very friendly staff and the owners are great.

Went for lunch and had some of the small plates. Really hot and freshly cooked, bigger portions than I was expecting - great value for money. Staff were really friendly and welcoming.

Visited yesterday evening with family, the staff behind the bar couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. The food overall was nice, only complaint was that my burger bun was rock solid and my sister's steak sandwich bread was no better. Will definitely return though.

Great pub have lived in Manchester For over 6 years from Ireland and have been in few pubs and havint found the perfect place until we went the plough such a lovely atmosphere with really nice décor and seating area they also have really cool bear garden out the back with heaters and that the guy who runs it is named Shaun he's very welcoming and gives patrons his time absolute gentleman oh the food is top of the range aswell

Had my grandads wake there and they made it so friendly and welcoming, the staff couldn't do enough for us and all with a smile on their faces, big thanks for making it a special day

Beautiful community place! Shaun and Jill are the best. Lockdown allowed them to create the most welcoming place around. Lovely chill daytime vibes if you want to work and eat and coffee. Good quiz night. Great party nights. These guys bend over backwards to look after all their guests and friends 🙂

I haven't visited the Plough for many years, this visit was excellent, good job guys.

Having been told that the food was a highlight, i decided to try this venue. Good selection of J.W.Lees beers. The burger was burnt and dry and the bun although toasted was cold. Quite insipid.

Ok, this isnt the cheapest place to have a drink. However the food is delicious. You want a mixed grill from wetherspoons and a drink for 12 quid..... Go get it The mixed grill is around 20quid, but its juicy and succulent. The cuts of meat are 2 or 3 times thicker than wetherspoons😁 management and staff are a lot friendlier too. The place is dog friendly and has water and dog treats. Its ground level with toilets for disabled people and baby changing which also can be used for those disabled people(like my daughter) that require a nappy change. Its progress😁they have a large beer garden out back and seating out front too. They have a large funtion room for.... Who knows? Maybe a coming out of the closet reveal? Just kidding.... We all know anyhow😁try it.... You dont like it.... Dont go again

Went last night for a friends birthday, ordered Korean Chicken wings but since I do t do spice asked if they were very spicy. The guy said no so order, however he did check with the chef who said they had a kick but could do plain ones. When they came there were 4 decent sized wings and with fries it was a main meal for me. Excellent customer service, good food and good atmosphere. Well done will be back.

Been here a couple of times now and hoping they can fit us in this month for our daughter’s birthday, love that this pub has warm lights that may sound a random thing to put in a review but to me it’s not, the lighting made it feel really homely to most pubs I have been in with those awful bright lights I’m ur face (which can make you look like Quasimodo 🤣) The guy who runs the pub is absolutely amazing, I have only met the lady once for a few minutes but she seemed lovely too, I cannot say enough about this guy he made us feel like we was at home (who knows I may come down next time in my pyjamas) and had known him forever & Im not a social person I don’t like crowded places but I feel totally comfortable coming here, it was honestly the best night we have had as a family in ages, he asked us if everything was ok but didn’t harass us, to me this is definitely the job this guy is born for can’t say enough good about him!! Food was absolutely gorgeous, good sized portions, priced well, food was served hot so you know it’s not been sat there so well done to the chefs it can’t be an easy job!! FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC!

Had my birthday party there on Saturday 17th June. Can not praise Saun and Jill enough as well as the rest of the team. It was a brilliant night and they really went above and beyond to make sure it was perfect. Loads of my family and friends have messaged to say how welcoming they made everyone feel. Some had never been before but tell me they'll definitely be going back. The food is fantastic and very reasonable with large portions too. I really can't rate them highly enough. Well done on having a winning team 👏

Best Sunday dinner I’ve eaten in a pub in a long time, came last year had no chef but the owner is top knotch and showed us a place that was ok, went back and now he has 2 new chefs and they make the best food, well worth a visit.

Staff are lovely. Plenty to choose from, drinks. Foods also good.

Went for Sunday lunch last year and we could not praise the dinner enough. Not now. No mashed potatoes just roast spuds, not everyone likes roast. If I had known I would not have ordered this. Disappointed.

Food average service absolutely diabolical we had to clear down table as not been cleared after almost an hour after we had all finished eating,was never asked if everything was done meal was sent back as was undercooked wasn't asked would something else be done just told the chef would recook the steak or offered something else sorry will not be booking there again o and they even had the cheek to try and charge for the returned meal.

Not been to this pub for ages we went for a beer but ended up having some food. The jw Lees beer was good nice selection we sat outside where there is covered seating and 3 pod type seating to sit 6 to 8 in each we sat out in the evening sun no view but nice garden area. The food was average nachos to start got a thumbs up but no spice as in Peppers? I had a steak sandwich nice but large lumps of steak that you couldn't bite into like a sandwich ended up very messy my wife had the cheese and Beetroot sandwich with honey.The chef needs to try what he makes sometimes I don't want to be too critical but must do better but we will try again sometime

One off the worse meals I have had well under cooked and the service was shocking the waitress Sarah had a bad attitude slaming plates and no check back didn't even clear plates the hole experience was shocking

Nice place to eat and chill out

Visited again in July on a Tuesday late afternoon. Updated menu, great food and superb service. Well worth a visit. Visited the Plough on a Wednesday evening around 7pm with a work colleague after a recommendation from my wife. The new layout was excellent with hand sanitizer available on entry along with a track and trace QR code. The waitress was super efficient and the menu provided a superior range of food options thanks to Sean the new manager. Two drinks, two starters and 2 mains for less than £40 proved excellent value for money. I will recommend this pub/restaurant to my friends without hesitation.

Such a lovely, friendly place. Visited today with my disabled friend. Parking and access was easy and various seating accommodates various disabilities. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very nice. Its a definite recommendation from us.

I've never been to such a wonderful place! Well decorated, the food was amazing! The staff are so polite and welcoming. The owner has done a fabulous job on it, he really knows how to cater for families ❤️ will definitely return.

Nice place,nice beer, nice staff, and nice friendly clientele. The live music on the night was exceptional and was provided by the 5 peice band New Identity. Hope to watch them there again soon.

We booked The Plough for a Funeral reception and I am so glad we chose this place.The place is very clean and well decorated with huge outdoor area.Shaun and Jill were very welcoming and very understanding of our cultural needs.A huge thank you to all the staff especially Shaun for all the support we really appreciate it.If I could give 10 stars I will.

The Plough is one of my favourite local pubs to visit now - Shaun and Jill have created a real gem here. The food menu has been recreated and has a great choice of vegetarian options for those who want it. Can't fault the Manchester craft beer, if only we could have a really nice IPA on tap too! A great place to be... went to watch a live band The Filthy Animals so it was my first time there. Made to feel welcome, owner and staff are very professional and friendly. Will go back to sample the food 😋
