Have been to the plough for the Sunday cavery on multiple occasions. There is always plenty of choice and the food is always excellent. The staff are pleasant and accommodating and is always a good atmosphere. Will definitely be visiting again in the future.

What more do you want good food. With good ppl. Better than your average carvery. And cheap to boot. This is a local pub but for everyone. With friendly staff.

I wouldn’t even bother to cook Sunday lunch anymore ever. Jackie and the team serve exceptional food with a smile and a laugh and really bad singing in the best possible way.

Friendly staff and locals enjoyed very much

Stopped off here on Sunday for the carvery. Walked in and queued where it said ‘wait here to be seated’ was asked how many of us and then the waitress walked off. Appeared 10mins later and asked us again. Eventually we were seated, as in the waitress pointed to the table in the corner and said that’s yours. Realised that everyone was handing tokens to the server so we went to the bar to pay for our carvery and they gave our table away despite us telling them. Atmosphere was awful and the service non existent. Seems like only locals are welcome.

First visit for Sunday lunch and can highly recommend, great choice of 3 meats and a large selection of vegetables, very flavoursome unlike other bland carvery 👍👍👍

Despite arriving towards the end of service the carvery was absolutely excellent. The veg was lovely and the meat was phenomenal. Friendly staff and drinks and food for under £15 each, really no complaints at all.

Great pub on the outskirts of Donny Cheerful locals from the Balby area. Great place for a scooter meet up with the Doncaster Hunters SC

Pleasantly surprised had a really tasty Sunday roast and desert, staff were really good, helpful and cheerful. I found a little golden nugget in my neighbourhood we will be back

Stayed in balby Friday an Saturday to see Paul heaton and Jacqui Abbott at the eco stadium on Saturday. Popped into the plough Friday for an hour stayed 6 the staff and the clientele were friendly and welcoming to say we weren't locals the best night out had in awhile and even went to the squash club with a few regulars after closing. Would like to thank everyone for making me (Neil) Sharon Lisa an Danny very welcome

food was great plenty of choice and fantastic quality. will be back again 😊

Looks can be deceiving, great friendly staff the carvery and dessert are one of the best I have had highly recommend.

Sunday carverys are absolutely gorgeous and are reasonably priced. Always 3 meat options and a wide variety of veg to help yourself to. All cooked to perfection. Definitely my favourite place for a carvery

Friendly enough.. nice bar staff.. patrons seem friendly enough (the three that were there for the four hours I was in there) just a bit quiet but i guess that adds to the charm.. and a reason I went there. Music isn't too loud, no fights broke out, and reasonably priced beer.. would I visit again? Yeah.. probably every day on my way home from work for a quick pint.. a night out? Probably not.

Love it, not an overly warm welcoming (looks wise) but everyone is friendly and nicely priced drinks.

Quiet local pub. Don't know what pricing is like as I wasn't buying lol. Generally clean and tidy and as I was there just before Halloween it was all decorated tastefully in the theme. Toilets could do with some looking at as very old fashioned and run down but still clean. Overall not a bad place to spend time with friends having a chat.

Nice, friendly pub. Just about the size. Good place to watch football games. Quite important, level of noise in there is acceptable. Short distance to get there from Balby area. Nice and friendly bar staff.
