Took my mother in law for her first bottomless brunch here - the team were amazing (shoutout to Jenny) drinks and food were so quick, especially considering there was only 2 FOH staff on and a full house. Nothing was a problem, always friendly and the food was great. My dog was very welcome as well

An amazing little place that we just happened to come across today while passing through Wakefield. The pizzas were amazing and the service was incredible. The owner took his time to come have a quick chat with us. Always one for supporting a family run business. Will definitely go here again!!

We collected a takeaway of arancini starter, tomato garlic bread and a bianco pizza, all were amazingly fresh and tasty, staff and owners really friendly and atmosphere is great, will definitely be back to eat in soon. A real gem!

So tonight I really wanted a pizza, not just a standard supermarket or generic takeaway pizza but a fresh Italian style one... I googled "best pizza in Yorkshire" and the Pizza Yard came up. What a find!! Genuinely the best pizza I have ever eaten. Had Arancini to start and they were clearly home made, they were so fresh and tasty and melted in your mouth. When the pizza arrived, the dough was so light and the toppings plentiful. I had the nduja, onion and chilli pizza and it was unreal. The service was spot on and the prices more than reasonable. The owner (Ben) and his staff were very friendly and customer service was excellent. I absolutely recommend giving this place a go. I'll be heading back soon.

Always beautiful whether we get takeout or dine in. Really lovely guy that runs it (Sorry I didn’t get your name!) who takes the time to talk to you and is clearly a very hard worker and extremely passionate about his business. Keep it up 🍕😍🌟

We came as a 5 for bottomless brunch on Saturday and for 5 women with 4/5 with dietary requirements, I am absolutely astounded with how amazing the staff were for catering to our needs. We had a vegetarian, 2 gluten free people and between us, couldn't eat olives, onions and mushrooms. The array of food served was phenomenal. We started with a GF garlic bread and a normal to share between us, then a meat and cheese board came out with both normal and GF crackers, along with normal bruschetta and GF bruschetta, and after all of that (which was all so tasty) we got to order a pizza each as well. The pizzas (I had GF) were fantastic. So tasty and fresh. I recommend the Lucinda, it was one of the best tasting pizzas I've ever had. The staff were friendly, smiley and on the ball with drinks orders and getting the food to us without contamination between meat and veggie. Overall, such an amazing time and the 5 of us have said we'll be back for another brunch and a meal because the value is amazing. Thanks Pizza Yard!

Went Sunday evening for birthday celebration it was excellent. first class food very pleasant and quick service friendly staff would recommend to anyone. Go and visit you will not be disappointed.

first visit and will definitely be back. friendly and informative host, great vibe, background music was good and quiet enough to enjoy a conversation over, menu advice and recommendations were brilliant. started with the share platter which was lovely, highly recommend the arancini and bruschetta. great selection of pizzas and flavours which could be added to as well to create what we wanted. parking right next to the venue. already planning our return!

What an amazing gem of a restaurant this is! Having been for a brunch, I can honestly say it's the best I've ever been to. The food was so fresh, tasty and there was an endless supply of it. Nothing was too much trouble, the drinks were quite simply delicious and varied. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and looking forward to my next visit. Thank you Pizza Yard.

Dropped by after visiting The Hepworth Wakefield nearby - the pizzas we had were absolutely incredible. Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

We have recently moved our business to the nearby Tileyard North site and have been super impressed by The Pizza Yard's service for personal and corporate events. They have always been so accomodating, quick and professional and the food is absolutely delicious. We are so glad they are nearby!

I am a pizzaholic and always on the hunt for new places to try. I found The Pizza Yard by accident. It’s kind of tucked away as in not glaringly obvious, so if you weren’t looking for it then you may not know about it. It’s an absolutely gorgeous little place. Very busy, but clean and tidy. It is small as in building size but it's not small for the amount of tables. There's definitely space in there to feel comfortable, where you're not crammed in. I don’t tend to eat from somewhere that has a low number of reviews, as I feel that it’s most likely for a good reason, but always check the photos as they can speak louder than words and then on to the reviews. I knew on this occasion I was going to be trying the food here. I would recommend booking a table otherwise you may not get one. If you are wanting a take away then I would definitely call to ask what the average wait time is ahead of actually placing your order so you can work around it. It is collection only as no delivery service. I was given 10% off as I was collecting, as opposed to eating in, and that was a super cool added bonus. I take my pizza and garlic bread very seriously 😋 and I was blown away by this place. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Front of house/serving were Jenny and Josh. In the kitchen were Ben, the owner and Joe. I ordered a Margherita pizza, garlic bread and fries. There was meant to be a longer wait time but the food was ready early. I waited outside in my car and Jenny actually came out to let me know it was ready earlier than anticipated, which was very thoughtful. The food was piping hot and looked amazing. The base was soft with a good crisp bite and large crusts (my favourite 😍). I ate way more than I intended as it was just too good. If you have a long is drive home, I’d definitely suggest that you pop it on a low oven setting for 5-10 minutes, as I feel that it wouldn’t do it justice if it was eaten luke warm. When I was placing my order, I did see plates of other food being taken to customers and it all looked delicious. I would most definitely highly recommend The Pizza Yard for the lovely staff, cleanliness and scrumptious food. This is a crazy long review but it deserves it.

Best pizza in Wakefield by a mile. Great value and very friendly staff too

The Lucinda pizza was lovely. Unfortunately underwhelming for the rest of it, Experienced delayed delivery as the original uber eats driver cancelled (appreciate that’s not the fault of the restaurant)- however food arrived nearly cold and at best lukewarm. Other two pizzas skimpy on the toppings and pretty bland- I’d paid for extra pepperoni and didn’t receive it. For around £50 it sadly wasn’t worth it for us

A lovely place to treat ourselves to a nice meal out. The hand made pizzas were tasty and different. I especially loved the fries with parmesan and truffle oil.

Just called in at The Pizza Yard yesterday with my family and it definitely lived up to our expectations. It was a really relaxing dining experience. Ben the owner is a great guy, very welcoming, warm and loves to chat about the dishes. The waitress was lovely and great with the kids. We will definitely be going again.

Went here with friends one of which has dairy n gluten issues. Not only some of the best pizza in wakefield but according to my friend the best vegan cheese and gluten free bases he's ever had. Stylish venue nice menu and very attentive staff. Special recommendation to the person who waited on us - I think her name was Michelle? But she was great.

Brilliant little find. A little out of the town centre but plenty of parking nearby. Food is fantastic, the waitresses are all very polite, and the owner has a clear passion for what he does. Would definitely recommend.

We saw The Pizza Yard, which is a few minutes walk from the Hepworth Gallery. We hadn’t booked but were lucky to be squeezed in. The Pizza Yard team were very friendly and service was great. We really enjoyed the sharing plate and the pizzas were delicious. A great find in Wakefield.

Went out for a few pre-birthday drinks and fancied a pizza. Not been to The Pizza Yard before. Will definitely be eating here again. It was packed and hadn’t booked, initially looked like we had a long wait but staff accommodated and juggled things round. We didn’t have a long wait for food and WOW, best pizza in Wakefield by a country mile. Staff and owner (chef) so friendly and inviting. 5⭐️💯 delicious

Visited tonight for the first time and I can't wait to go back already! We started off with an aperol & limoncello spritz, both were delicious! Then had the lucinda pizza for our main. One of the best pizza's and doughs I've had in a long time! Simple, great quality ingredients! The venue itself was very charming and set a very nice atmosphere. The staff were super friendly, Can't recommend this place enough! Thank you to the Pizza yard team for having us! ☺️

We ordered for takeout yesterday and must say customer service was great from answering the phone to being greeted inside. The pizza and fries were amazing too! Incredibly fresh tasting can’t wait for our next meal!

We stumbled into The Pizza Yard for the first time last night quite late but the staff made us feel more than welcome! The pizzas were incredible and the Tiramisu that was on the specials board was one of the best desserts we have ever eaten! Hope it becomes a permanent fixture on the menu. We can’t wait to return!

We had a takeaway from here and it was Hands down the nicest pizza I’ve had in the Wakefield area ever! Highly recommend, they also do vegan options, which is great! Garlic bread and garlic/rosemary fries are lovely too.

Great hospitality and amazing food. Didn't have to order a lot, so filling and the dough base to die for. More than enough to choose from in the menu. Easy place to locate and park just off Wakefield centre. Highly recommended and will be visiting again soon

Absolute gem of a restaurant. The staff and the owner were so so lovely and went above and beyond for us. The pizza was incredible, as were the fries and dips that we got to go with it. Highly recommend adding their homemade hot honey to your pizza 🤤 The atmosphere was lovely too. Cannot wait to go back 😊

Absolutely amazing. We had the famiglia bottomless brunch, the food & drink just kept coming, we got to try a variety of starters and pizzas and everything was fabulous. Ben and his team are brilliant, we cannot recommend Pizza Yard highly enough. Give it a go, you will not be disappointed.

Starters were to die for, Pizza was delicious, and pudding melted in your mouth. Great atmosphere with open mic on, and the staff could not do enough for you. Starter, pizza, fries, brownie, and a pint came to £30 plus they did vegan option for my friend. You don't get better than that. Thanks, guys, top-notch food 👌.

What a place! Amazing service. It makes you feel like you are home, but with bottomless drinks! Staff are amazing, very attentive and always happy to help. Food was brilliant, pizza was delightful and the starters are the right amount to get you going. Highly recommended.

My Wife and myself found the restaurant really warm, relaxed and an inviting. The owners were the nicest people and very approachable and knowledgeable about their craft. The Pizzas were fantastic, you can really taste the quality ingredients and workmanship that goes into them, a real credit to Ben ! We also had salad and fries which really good too. We shared a bottle of the suggested wine which equally nice and reasonably priced. A great experience in a family run business. Get a table booked now,you won’t be disappointed !!

I loved coming here. The food was delicious and the choice to have assorted card games provided passive entertainment. We were able to get on with the waiters and have a good chat with them. would eat here again easily.

Pizza was outstanding ! Can honestly say it was the best pizza I had in a long time (tried Lucinda - pepperoni and honey - delish!!! And one with anchovies) Pesto fries were also spot on. Great it doesn’t have an extensive menu - it’s reassuring that the ingredients are nice and fresh. Definitely will be back.

A great family owned business, food, atmosphere and service were all wonderful. A perfect venue to meet up with friends and family at a really reasonable price. Will be back soon.

I was there yesterday with my partner, the waitress was very kind, we really felt looked after by her and she has very good energy. Place is cozy and well designed. The only issue for me is a lack of a little bit of privacy, maybe subtle room dividers would do the job. Menu is great, short and you do not need to think too long about it. In case of food - pizza was amazing, the ultimate board was very tasty - different nibbles. Last thing is, that would be great if there would be olive oil and parmiggiano bowl on the tables. All in all pizza was tasty and we need more places like that. Owner and staff are very nice people who want to create an Italian vibe among those all repetitive chicken takeaways and show people that food can get onto another level. Edit: amazing tomato sauce. Owner is amazing as always, food was delicious. Pizza, board with cheese Charcuterie mmmm recommend. P.S TOMATO SAUCE IS SPECTACULAR. GRAZIE BEN ❤️

Very friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed the grazing board, plenty to choose from with a good range of cheese and meats. Followed by amazing pizzas. The lager was great! We will be back.

My wife and three children have visited the Pizza Yard on three occasions since it opened. The Pizza's are amazing Neopolitan style with high-quality toppings. The staff and owner (head pizza chef!) are exceptionally friendly and always make my family and I feel really welcome. On the last occassion they whipped up some BBQ sauce for my middle child. My kids are 7, 10 and 13 and love going to the Pizza Yard for dinner. I can't recommend it highly enough. Everything is great and I have a different pizza every time but always share an order of Arancini balls with the kids (if they're quick enough!!).

We really enjoyed our visit, sneaked in a quick visit on a Thursday in October and couldn't have asked for more attentive staff. Ben (owner) was so friendly and walked us through the new menu, (recommend the Lucinda, who knew honey and pepperoni!). He even made us some fresh aioli to order. Really good value for money and we will definitely be returning!

We hired this place for our baby shower - the staff were exceptional from initial enquiries to the actual on the day event nothing was too much trouble and they were so accomodating, the food was incredible. Would 100% recommend hosting your event here - particularly if you want somewhere with a more relaxed intimate vibe!

Visited last Saturday after viewing the reviews. Atmosphere on the day was great due to the number of customers eating. Service was friendly and professional. In my opinion the pizza didn't quite live up to expectations due to the small amount of toppings. However, I was told that this is typical of this style of pizza. The wine served was nice and good value. A mixed bag for me but will return.

Rubbish, “Wakefield’s home of Neapolitan pizza” must be having a laugh, should be “wakefields home of undercooked pale pizza” they’re not even round.

The pizza was amazing, a thin base and delicious, fresh ingredients - perfect! We also had the truffle fries which were delicious too. The owner Ben is very passionate and knowledgeable and made us feel looked after, the personal touch made a wonderful first experience at The Pizza Yard. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu :)
