Home made chips amazing pizza, beautiful thick chicken coleslaw and garlic sauce to die for. Lived in Hartlepool 3 years just got round to try your food wish I had tried sooner.

I ordered and went to collect it and when I got home they was no salad or my drink even though she said it was in there and when I asked if she can get it delivered she said no we would have to come back and I told her we live far and she said there’s nothing we can do I apologised.

Always had good food, portion size and service from PGs Hartlepool (collection-only). Particularly enjoy their inferno pizza and 'unique' chips.

Great staff, always working hard and doing their best. Unfortunately the recipe has changed in the last few years and everything has a weird bitter taste, the chips are stale, bitter and either black or a weird pale colour (nothing like they used to be) and the pizza is dry. The signature homemade pizza sauce, thick lovely chips and overall high quality has well and truly gone. Big shame!

Ordered for the first time via Food Hub. Tried the artizan pizza, cheese and chips, and donner kebab. Although it's on the pricey side, the food was delicious and delivered very quickly, especially for a Saturday night. Would definitely try again. The only fault with the food was that the pizza was a little thrown about during delivery, which ruined the look and the delicious toppings. I would also say the pizza was meant to be 12" and the stuffed crust meant the toppings didn't cover 8 inches.

Pizza good. Kebab meat very small. Tiny salad box with mainly lettuce. Missed 2 portions of garlic. Couldn’t be bothered calling them to complain. ‘Just read the order guys’.

Missed items off order, cold Doner meat, pizza inedible and just an all round bad experience although their chips are nice. Terribly priced and will not be going again.

Both Parmo and pizza were good but chips disappointed. Would love to see French fries instead of a mediocre chippy chip 🤷🏻‍♂️

Quick delivery, but driver delivering my food look like he hadn’t heard of a bath dirty un-ironed clothes which if off putting, just hope he does not handle food, ordered a parmo and has to be the worst I’ve ever had far too much béchamel sauce and cheese felt sick after one or two bites and flavor wasn’t very nice , chips where ok on a plus note fresh cut not frozen like a lot of takeaways in the area. Won’t be ordering again tho. Disappointed

Kebab topping missing, returned pizza. just chucked kebab meat on top. Reason for not adding the kebab meat was we had added too many toppings. Why take the order if you can not have all the topings we wanted. Even rang ahead of collecting and confirmed a garlic base and nothing was said about too many toppings. Waste of £25. The majority is now stuck to the lid. Owner rang, very polite and friendly. Issue now resolved.

Absolutely shocking used to go here all the time.. I don't know what's changed in recent months but it's gone downhill fast!! Ordered food at 8pm turned up @ 11:20.... the order was wrong so sent a replacement out another hour wait for food ordered at 8pm... phoned up numerous times to be told it's on way, never again will I use this place honestly don't know how they are still in business soggy cold food burnt cold chips and circa 4hrs wait.... do not order food from here!! Even the dog turned his nose up at it

Poor service used to be excusable because the food was good. Now the food is average at best, it’s always late, some times by hours with excuses blamed on number of drivers available. This is never advised when ordering. Will not ever use this take away again.

Never had a bad experience usually lovley but tonight long wait pizza was cold and really soggy and chips were hard Also never received salad and pitta bread with kebab hopefully just a one off as usally I can’t fault them 😟

Absolute joke! Waited well over 3 hours for a couple of pizzas, came stone cold and soggy went in the bin waste of money was told it was on its way and would be 20 minutes 1hour before it actually turned up. Will absolutely not be back

Don’t order from here. Over 3 hours and 40 for 2 10inch pizzas is an absolute joke. Pizza was also awful and freezing, Will never ever order from here again and hope no one else does they need shutting down

Ordered twice within a week through the app. Both orders cancelled after taking payment. Only ordered pizzas so nothing out of the ordinary. Shouldn’t take orders and payment if can’t fulfil the order. Very poor service. Won’t be using again.

Madness really, two hours forty minutes for a cheeseburger to be delivered. Food itself was faultless bar the warm can of coke. Delivery driver was very apologetic and quite obviously stressed. Ordered a couple of weeks ago and it was exactly the same, two hours for a battered pizza, gave the benefit of the doubt tonight and it was a complete let down through the wait. Contacted through the app twice and rang up to query. 100% will not order again.

Ordered some food for delivery. Waited 1hr 40mins for it to be delivered. It then proceeded to come without the parmo we ordered. Rang the shop to be told it'll be on the next lot of deliveries. Like is that it? Could have thrown in something for free for the inconvenience.

What a joke pizza guys are, placed an order to collect at 19.28 to be told it wasn't ready until 20:30 as they had been super busy. The 2 pizzas that were ordered, were ordered with chips however neither came with chips and rather than them rectifying the issue at the time the staff offered a free pizza next time we order, this is not the first time this has happened but will certainly be the last as we will not order from here anymore. Absolute disgrace and cost £30.

Burger was inedible, zero salt/pepper mixed into it at any point so it's completely flavourless, missed my chips and then proceeded to hang up on my lass when we rang up about it. Last time I'll be ordering from this company with extremely rude, unhelpful and arrogant staff who charge premium prices for food that can be made for 1/3rd of the cost.

Food took forever when it came pizza was cold waste of money

Ordered a 16" pepperoni at half 5 when it arrived an hour later it was stuck to roof of box, which ain't an issue as they sent a new one out. Another hour later the other arrived cold and just a plain pizza, tried to speak to the owner on the phone but he was more concerned about shouting at his staff. I ended up going in myself to get my money back but was met by the owner acting like a patronising arrogant manchild. Feel sorry to anyone working for him, the cash in hand wage way below the minimum. Especially when he treats his staff badly.

I dont recommend working there, employes are not getting paid how they shoud.

Used pizza guys Hartlepool loads of times before and been happy with meals. Tonight’s Parmo (which is normally a good meal) was 💯 % utter 5h1te Deep fried saggy parmo. 🤬 Tried to give it to the Dog and it wouldn’t eat it Don’t normally complain but it was rank and they have been hit and miss lately. Will spend my money elsewhere in future

Don’t use this place beyond brutal spent £77.77 online for a big family takeaway took money out bank but the order still failed asked to speak to a manager wouldn’t even come on phone at first said he was to busy demanded to speak to him came on phone he was unhelpful rude said it was nothing to do with them. I understand it’s a technical thing but he wasn’t interested in the slightest. Please don’t use this place worse experience I’ve ever had. I even said I’m coming to the store to prove the transaction he said there’s no point mate nothing to do with us

Great food. Pizzas are great. Just take there pick up times with pinch of salt.

Seem to get the order wrong more often than not.

First time ordering from here tonight, oh my thought I'd died and gone to heaven! We ordered a 1/2 and half pizza and a burger, came in plenty of time, still hot, although the burger they sent out was wrong, they phoned me and apologised (I didn't know till they said), sent another straight away, just told us to keep the other one. The pizza was the best I've had in a while, the garlic sauce was spot on! Haven't had a decent garlic sauce in Hartlepool since I moved here years ago! Top and bottom of it, I will certainly be ordering from here again 10/10 from me

Great pizzas n maid fresh as you wait

Had a chicken kebab that came as part of a large order at work. Chicken was raw in the middle, thankfully I realised before eating it so could bin it without making myself ill. Somebody elses who ordered same was also raw. I won't be partaking next time.

First time ordering from pizza guys and i can confirm we will be ordering again. The Parmos are incredible, I got the bacon and brie twisted parmo and it's one of the best Parmos I have tried in years. The chips are fluffy and seasoned generously. The 16" hawaiian pizza was really nice and came free with our order as we spent over £20. And better yet, its actually affordable, most places would charge ludicrous a mounts for food this good. Easily one of the top takeaways in the North East. 10/10

Poor tonight. Parmo 2/10 at best, chicken so overdone, thin and chewy. Quality always seems to suffer when the shop is busy.

We have had issues with all of our orders, there has been wrong orders, and missing items. I rang and the item was replaced with an apology from the owner and even gave a free pizza, but the last time we didn't recieve an item and the driver said he would sort it and not to ring the shop, but nothing happened, I even sent an email and no reply. I said I would never order again, and I won't, however my sons girlfriend ordered from them tonight, and the chicken was raw on quite a few pieces of chicken, what kind a service are you running, absolutely disgraceful today. I will be contacting the food standards agency, as we have photos of the raw food, this is teenagers eating this food today, I hope they are not unwell from this!

Awesome food. A little pricier than others but the food is by far the best in the town. Real chunky chips. Proper handmade burgers, excellent pizzas and gorgeous parmos.

Since the takeaways staff have changed the food has reduced in quality. I visited the other day the pizza base had mould on it. The donner kebab meat has been reheated. Please bring back the original staff before we lose our local takeaway.

Really disappointed with the parmesan tonight, ordered a fungi parmo when it arrived mushrooms were just placed on top raw I did ring and got told that's how they served

First time and last time. Was told delivery would be over a hour which was fine but showed about 45 minutes early so wasn’t ready. Pizza arrived cold, box covered in oil and toppings were not cooked. I also got cookie dough which just tasted like cold balls of fat. Called and spoke to manager to raise my concerns who said I could get 15% off my next order. At £18 and less then average cold food I won’t be returning.

I ordered a kebab parmsan when i seen the pictures on their facebook page it showed small pieces of kebab meat in little squares dotted around the parmosan and baked into the cheese and looked very yummy, when i received mine it had 2 long strips of uncooked kebab meat thrown on the top of my parmasan you could see it wasnt cooked properly and it was freezing, chilli and garlic sauce also didnt taste of much i also ordered a few jalapenos to be put onto my box of salad however they just sent 1 whole tub of jalapenos

The first time I ordered from there I actually enjoyed the food but because of their only outdoor sign being a neon light I went pass them like 6 times on my motorbike trying to look for a sign that I couldn't really see because it wasn't turned on, which to be fair I think that there could be a sign that really stands out and that makes finding the place easy if it's your first time but since I now know where it is I'll order from there again

Unreal food, we got Parma & chips! It only took 30 minutes to come. Would 100% recommend and will definitely go back.

Was staying nearby so decided to give them a try, ordered the loaded nachos and a 'Notorious PIG', was told it would be n hour but arrived in 20 minutes! The nachos were huge and almost a meal on their own, loads of cheese and chillies, peppers and onions - delicious!!The pizza, well after devouring the nachos I didnt have a lot of room left, however I couldn't stop eating the pizza and ashamed to say I polished the when thing off! Heaps of toppings and delicious.Wouldn't hesitate in using them again, decent price, fast delivery and scrummy what's notto like?

We travelled 20 miles to try this place due to a recommendation. We had meal deal 3. The food was fabulous. I had a pepperoni, peppers and onion pizza. It was awesome. They should put that pizza on the menu. Anyway parmo, chips and pizzas were excellent. Only gave them 4 stars as we asked for a donner parmo and when we opened it there was no donner 😔. Will definitely go back 😁.

My family and I last had a takeaway from here over a year ago, I was a bit worried reading some of the reviews, but based on the quality of our previous takeaways we decided to risk it. And I'm very pleased we did, the Parmo was excellent loads of sauce and cheese and the pizza was lovely. Will definitely be back.

The pizza was ok I guess. However the default pizza is a thin crust.. so if you would like a normal based pizza then you have to pay extra! I ordered a pepperoni the first time and you get one piece of pepperoni per slice! For the price you charge you should get more just saying. The second time around I paid the extra for the thick based pizza and again stingy with the pepperoni.. some slices didn't even have any one.

Ordered a meal for me and the misses , 1x 10" tandoori pizza which she described as the chicken tasting undercooked , burnt bottom of pizza and generally tasteless and cold, 1 slice was eaten and the rest in the bin. I had a half mushroom parmo with extra topping of pepperoni, they where very stringy with topping I think I had like 7 pieces of mushrooms and 3 slices of pepperoni, chicken itself was tasteless and the cheese had a strange texture I can't describe, again had 1 fair sized cut of the parmo and it was rubbish, the chips that came with the parmo were undercooked. I ordered in the shop and waited in my car thinking I'll be there 15/20min for them to cook it all to my surprise I was only waiting 5min or so , should of been my first clue the food wasn't going to be up to par. Very disappointed waste of £15 wouldn't recommend

Ordered a tandoori chicken pizza 1st - pizza was cold 2nd - pizza was burnt to the point it left charcole on my fingers 3rd -chicken was like rubber like it was under cooked 4th - tomato sauce was drizzled on then smothered with cheese. Never ordered from here before so thought I'd give it a try..... Never again is all I can say. Very disappointed.

Ordered a pizza. They were stingy with tomato sauce, pizza base was doughy and the toppings seemed undercooked and chewy. Just tasted bland and well... Tasteless.

Ordered for 8 lads at work and not one order was nice. Cold pizza,dry kebab meat,no garlic sauce with order,poor toppings,over cooked chicken and very poor portions for the price. A vastly overrated takeaway and I genuinely have no idea how they're considered one of the best in the North East.
