My go to pad thai place. I love the food here. Been coming for a while. The food is fresh and tasty.

Went here for the Easter 🐣 Beer Festival and it was like Christmas time. Getting inside, and especially the bar, proved rather challenging! The staff were wonderful and the toilets were clean. I only stayed here for a little while as it was so packed out

Lovely old pub, fun atmosphere and met some lovely people , they serve food and have lots of different areas to sit in .

My friend booked the upstairs area for her birthday party and it was lovely! You can order a few bottles of wine and plates of food but if things run out you can go downstairs and grab a drink anyways. There was also a tv and speaker that you can connect your phone to and play your own music on. The only downside was we weren’t allowed to tape decorations to walls.

We stopped in at this little Irish bar close to our hotel on the night of Saint Patrick’s day. It will be an experience we talk about for a long time to come. The staff was so welcoming the food unbelievable and the atmosphere just off the chain, thanks for letting this American chick sit in and sing along with you. Best Saint paddy’s day ever!

An absolute hidden gem. Lovely old pub with traditional, cozy decor. Lots of seating, both inside and out with a great back garden. The staff are friendly and attentive. They serve wonderful Thai food during lunchtimes and in the evenings, superfast delivery to your table. You can find the menu on their website. I've been here twice for dinner with friends and will definitely be returning.

Great value food and good atmosphere

I recently visited this pub with family and friends. One of our party has a peanut and cashew nut allergy so I phoned ahead to check that they catered for allergy sufferers. I was assured that they did cater for people with allergies. We arrived and due to anxieties asked again and this time were told that they may be cross contamination. We were alarmed but were assured slightly by the fact that the menu had various allergy symbols against menu options. However, a glance into the kitchen made us nervous as we could see that a promise of non crossover contamination was ridiculous as the chef was using his hands to add ingredients from various sources and the same pans were being used to cook various dishes. The allergic person in our party started to have a reaction to the food very quickly after starting her meal and had to abandon it. The young manager was a little aggressive and claimed he had mentioned cross contamination in our earlier conversation in the day but had not. All in all, a very disappointing experience. If the restaurant has a menu with various symbols indicating possible allergy issues it is ridiculous if inside the kitchen, it’s size and set up mean there is no way they can guarantee it is a safe place for people who unfortunately suffer from allergies which can be potentially life threatening. Needless to say, the Pineapple pub proved to be an utterly disappointing venue.

Beautiful pub. Rachel, the assistant manager, always takes great care of me whenever I visit. Super friendly, hard working lady. She'll go so far with such a great work ethic.

Favourite pub! Cheap pints- great food!

I just witnessed the staff be berated in a meeting for half an hour while we ate dinner. At no point did the manager think while explaining how to pour a beer and stack the dishwasher that having a condescending conversation to his staff in front of customers was also not the greatest idea. I’ve been looking forward to visiting this pub but certainly won’t be supporting this management style.

The Pineapple is a superb local pub offering its' own Thai menu to satisfy your hunger. The beer is excellent with a number of cask ales on offer along with a variety of keg beers and ciders for those like me. A very homely place with lots of nooks and crannies to have a chinwag along with a delightful conservatory at the rear of the pub. Great beer and great service. A fine place to discover!

Popped in here after a walk through Hampstead. Was packed! Once I saw the menu I realised why. Amazing Thai food at fabulous prices. Incredibly quick service and food was tasty and fresh. Also very dog friendly and a sheltered garden area. Will definitely be back!

Been going to the pineapple for a while as it’s a really cosy and beautiful pub, a lovely beer garden and the food is also pretty good. However, I’ve been disappointed the last handful of times I’ve been by the attitude of the staff who serve you with such little enthusiasm that it actually comes across quite rude. I’ve even been met with eye rolling and sighs on occasion. Quite a shame because it is such a lovely pub, but it just makes you feel unwelcome as soon as you walk through the door.

I was visiting London, when I was invited by friends, to go with them for lunch at the Pineapple. We ordered a number of dishes, Thai food, well cooked and at a reasonable price. There was an excellent draught beer selection too. Well done, Pineapple!

Went here for the first time in a while. Absolutely lovely atmosphere and Mo and Scarlet are fantastic. Super attentive and helped me with my order - couldn’t have asked for more! Whoever is looking after them during this season, they def deserve a bottle of wine!! 🖤🖤

Well established authentic pub in a quiet street. Tuesday has a discount on wine. Very good Thai kitchen lunch and dinner. Good mix of guest ales that are frequently updated. Front bar is very homely with open gas fires in the winter. Large covered garden area at the back. Very cozy feel. One of three pubs in the area run by the same people, and all are good.

Fantastic pub tucked away in a side street. Great beers and friendly staff. And they also do Thai food. Really enjoyed my pre gig beers and dinner. Will definitely be back.

Amending this review based on the Thai lunches, which used to be a delicious delight and a bargain to boot but in recent months have been a real let down. Today, the food came out in less than 10mins, obviously quickly reheated. My Pad Thai was incredibly bland and the prawns overcooked. Not what it used to be..

Beer was fine. Very quiet on Sat p.m and was going to eat but outside area looked grubby with uncleared tables and litter on floor etc so gave it a miss.

This just happens to be my dearest & oldest friends local. Really nice vibe . Feels like a traditional old English pub inside with the addition of a modern conservatory & beer garden. Known for its excellent & very good value thai quisine.

Set in a residential back street about five minutes walk from Kentish Town Station, the Pineapple is an old pub retaining many original features. Approaching along the street, the first thing you notice is an old window advertising Double Diamond, a much maligned beer of yesteryear. Then inside there is an old Bass mirror, an original fireplace and, star of the show, a magnificent mirrored bar-back. It's certainly not a very smart or neat-and-tidy place but that's not a problem - this just adds to the character of the pub. There is also a conservatory at the back, leading to a beer garden, with cats. There is a good range of well kept, mainly local ales and they serve great value, excellent Thai food. All basic dishes on the menu are just £5.50, with some upgrade options such as to lamb or prawns for £1 extra. Easily worth a five star rating, except for the fact that the staff here really need to learn to be a bit friendlier. They're not rude or unpleasant or anything like that, but they didn't engage in any sort of social interaction. The waitress just deposited the food on the table and was gone; likewise when she came to collect the empty plate, she was away in a flash, no 'was everything alright, sir' nor indeed any sort of conversation. The bar staff were not much better - just the occasional smile would have gone a long way!

Visited at the weekend. First time seen family in a year decided to go to the pub. There were 9 of us wanted to sit outside, not bothered about sitting together as we told the fella behind the bar. He then preceded to throw what looked like a hissy fit and said something along the lines of “you deal wirh them, to his mate” We were in for a drink...didn’t mean to insult him. The other fella was nice and the rest of the bar staff were lovely, spent about £300 in there as a group..but I’ll be honest that welcome is the worst I’ve ever received when walking into a pub hence this review.

if you’re a sucker for good Thai food, this is the place! staff are friendly, back outdoor space can be heated and overall really good vibes. price is very reasonable - good Thai food, always comes out quickly. the wait to be seated can be quite long during the weekends so weekdays would probably be best if you want to have a taste!

Amazing Thai food! Extremely pleasant and friendly staff cannot fault the pineapple will definitely be returning on a regular basis. The outside heated back garden is also really cute and a huge plus during Covid restrictions.

I really enjoyed my first visit at The Pineapple. This pub is located close to Kentish Town station and offers great drinks as well as Thai tapas style food. I only visited for a drink, so I cannot comment properly on food. However, the smell coming from the kitchen was heaven and I will be back for some Thai food! The atmosphere is lively but you can go upstairs for a more quiet space. Very nice interiors too! Definitely recommended! - Second round: not long until I was back again, now for some delicious food too! Cannot recommend it more!

Great local; heaps of character; Thai cuisine; another great English pub

Often very busy with struggle for seating. However staff are very friendly and food is amazing with quick service and well worth the wait at the bar.

I really like this back street pub, which I feel has retained the feel of a proper boozer despite the creeping influence of their Thai restaurant. The front bar area is a great spot to relax with a few pints of their well kept cask ale - they usually have five on the go at any given time and the porter I tried on my last visit was in excellent condition. Despite being opened out a lot through recent remodelling, the pub still has a traditional feel, perhaps best exemplified by the beautiful Victorian mahogany bar back. The rear part of the pub has more of a dining room/restaurant feel to it and is best avoided unless you intend to eat (I never have, so can't comment on the quality of the food). If you're looking for a pub with good atmosphere, a nice traditional feel and some well kept ale, this is arguably your best bet in Kentish Town.

Incredible pub, with plenty of different beers and delicious thai food. It gets quite crowdy on friday night, much better going on a saturday afternoon/evening or at any time on sunday. I recommend the ginger fever ans pad thai, the regular one. It's so cozy! And they have a cat called bob.

Really lovely back street pub. Good selection of beers and spirits. Food is good and well priced. It has friendly bar staff and it has a real "local" feel about it, lots of regulars who knew each other. It is a little compact, but probably feels that way because it was very busy.

The King Prawn Penang was superb! Can’t fault the food and service. Ladies toilet let it down - otherwise would have had 5 stars.

Bad service at the bar. Constantly ignored by staff. Waited 15 mins to get served a pint & G&T then bar person proceeded to pour the whole bottle of tonic in and had to be stopped. The bar was busy but not rammed. I have drunk in this pub before but would not make it my local.

It’s a lovely pub - feels like a proper old pub - and the food is really good. There’s lots of space elsewhere in the pub (upstairs, lovely beer garden) but it gets really cramped around the front door as that where the bar is, facing. Consequently it usually takes ages to get served and you’ve got ppl coming in directly behind you from the front door, clogging it up even further! Design flaw! But what ya gonna do, without ripping out original features etc, so I guess we just have to lump it!

Unique pub atmosphere - genuine and cosy! Delicious and cheap Thai food. A real institution that should not be missed. Classic English pub!

This is Kentish Towns hidden gem, a lovely pub, tucked away in a quiet side road far enough from the busy main route between Tufnell park and Camden Town. pretty sure half the residents of Kentish Town wouldn't be able to tell you where it is.

A nice atmosphere in this local pub. Very popular = very crowdy in the bar. We had the chance to find places in the small garden. The food and beer are really good and the pricing very reasonable. I'll definitely return on my next visit to London.

Fideos blandos empapados que fueron los peores que hemos tenido. La sopa un poco de agua caliente con chile, unos trozos de pollo y champiñones tristes. La sopa tenía grandes trozos de hierba de limón que eran como pedazos de madera flotando en la superficie.

Agradable pub no muy lejos de Kentish Town y tiene un buen ambiente. Asientos en el exterior, así como muchos asientos en el área de invernadero. Eso se puso un poco caliente y húmedo. Puedes reservar un lugar y eso es bueno ya que puede estar muy ocupado. Usted hace cola en el bar y luego pide comida. La noche en que fuimos, el servicio era brusco pero desorganizado, con comida que salía a las mesas equivocadas. Era lo suficientemente sabroso, las porciones son pequeñas pero no son caras, así que pediría más en lugar de menos. Encontramos el servicio de bar un poco funcional en lugar de amable. Tal vez si eres un local sería más acogedor. La comida era buena, aunque en general sentí que no era lo suficientemente especial como para hacer otro viaje. From the outside, this looks like a decent size pub, but the position of the bar means it feels quite full quite quickly and getting a seat can be a problem.

Fuimos por un par de copas y una comida mientras visitábamos a la familia y disfrutamos muchísimo. La variedad de platos principales tailandeses era excelente al igual que la comida en sí. Precios decentes también. El viernes por la noche estaba ocupado con alrededor de las 7, pero después de las 8 estaba menos ocupado. 30 pero sigue siendo un gran ambiente. Buenas melodias tambien?

Nuestro error fue ir un sábado por la noche, pero esto se vio agravado por la persistencia de la idea de taburetes de bar. Apenas podíamos entrar por la puerta y esperamos una edad para que nos atendieran, ya que el personal parecía estar operando el método "si estás parado justo frente a mí, recibirás el método". Al final, me obligué a sentarme en un taburete entre las personas sentadas en el bar y me di a conocer. Si su pub es tan popular como este, no puede complacer a los clientes habituales con la oportunidad de ocupar todo el espacio en el bar. Fuimos a otro lugar en lugar de intentar que nos sirvieran de nuevo.
