I took my grandkids before the boro game today and it was very good and looked after

It's always my go to when in town, I love it. You might stick to the floor, but the service at the bar and karaoke are top notch xx

The atmosphere is always amazing.. however if you want to watch any football, don't. They prefer bingo over letting anyone watch the match. Massive screen but let people stand in front of it. Bar staff amazing. But it's a random average pub..

A bit of a rough diamond but it is a good place and the people I encountered were pleasant and welcoming. Very busy and probably the most popular bar in Middlesborough from my own observations, just a good old fashioned pub that has a mix of patrons in various states of merriness. The door staff are very professional, I ended up there one night and was totally wrecked from some heavy whisky testing earlier, upon arriving at the Pig Iron the door staff declined my entry and even took care of me at the door while my mate went in for a drink! Cant beat that for patience and caring, thank you. The drinks are cheaper than most other places, toilets are too bad. Good crack !

Great pub, great prices compared to others in the area. Never wait to long to be served. Did the usual, quizzes, karaoke etc... Definitely my fav pub in Boro.

Called in myself and other half from shopping in Middlesbrough food lovely but felt very uncomfortable been started at by a man sitting by his self it got that bad that I asked my partner to swop seats with me so I can have my back to him if i was on own would of been worse I'm not going again

The Pig Iron is an old school traditional pub in the city centre. I only started drinking there last year, and have a couple of ciders every time I'm in Boro. The staff are friendly, there's plenty of TV screens for sports,and great background music. Plus the drinks are cheap and overall a really good atmosphere.

Was in for the Champions League games on Tuesday and Wednesday, staff extremely unfriendly on Tuesday night I used a debit card to pay for drinks which seemed to be a pain for the female staff member on Wednesday I took cash which was fine until I presented a Bank of Scotland £5 note that the barman refused to take. When asked why the response was because it's Scottish I pointed out the night before I used a Bank of Scitland debit card. Which seemed to confuse him. Came across very anti Scottish and racist. So I went to the pub next door who were more than happy to accept Scottish Sterling. Overall very poor.

Very busy and lively pub. Karaoke on certain nights. Sports shown on TVs throughout the pub. Can get extremely busy and noisy. The staff are outstanding - rarely a wait at the bar regardless of how busy the pub gets. If you want somewhere for a drink which has a great atmosphere, this is it!

Big open spaces decent selection of drinks and competing with wetherspoons on price, no food, unfortunately. A no frills pub where you can get a half decent pint. Would recommend for a stag do or hen night for the internal space.

Dropped in for early evening beer. No real ale but quiet well behaved customers unlike some Middlesbrough pubs. Food looked OK but didn't stay. Barman not particularly friendly. Moved on for better beer choice.

Brilliant down to earth boozer. £2.30 a pint. Quick service and very friendly staff.

Great pub went in on the Sunday for card bingo and wheel of fortune. No silly bar prices really enjoy it every time we go in.

Cheap and cheerful Middlesbrough bar. If I was just out on a night I probably would rate 4 ⭐ but as I am more into ales I was disappointed with the lack of choice, but this isn't unusual and is the reason I usually drink in bars that are more likely to have real ale selections. Can't complain though, very good prices and somewhere to sit and chat.

Great pub , we called in on a Monday night and it was packed to the rafters. The DJ was taking requests and seemed to have the whole place bouncing

The beer was moderately priced, staff were friendly, there was plenty of room for a seat, and the kareoke on saturday night was a lot of fun. Nothing that stood out to me, but would go again if given the chance.

Love This place always a cheep piant and always a party vibe really can't fault it ony recomend it. Place is always packed so that speaks volumes on it own. Also there is karaoke 🎤 if your up for it.

Best small party lively atmospheric pub with loud conversations flowing throughout while best prices for alcohol flow through.

A town pub with character, and characters. Do not be dissuaded by the "Boro", Stigma. Go and judge for yourself. Points of advice are, do not carry a mobile phone, do not wear any type of jewellry (or a wig) make sure you have the correct monet at the bar. Carry toilet paper and wet wipes with you. Practice your grunting and remember to wear knuckle gloves when crawing in on all fours. All in all a decent priced pint.

Probably not the place I would take a girl on a first date. But if you go in with the right attitude and no airs and graces, what a cracking night. Top place, cheap as chips and you do get a good pint and quick service.🍺👍.

I thought it were a decent pub. On the occasion I went though, the locals were not that friendly but it might of just been those particular people who I sat with that were a bit miserable.
