By accident, ended up at the same restaurant and same server 2 nights in a row @Pie Room on High Holden, London. Lucia was fantastic, and our party of 4 became fast friends with her Monday night, and then tonight our CEO had booked the same restaurant (unknowingly) for our business party of 10, and fortunately she was our server again. Amazing savory pies, cheeses and red wine. A must stop on London - be sure to ask for Lucia and tell her I said hi! Be sure to try one of their 300 gins.

If you are staying at rosewood the breakfast here is just ok. The full British breakfast or Avocado toast, acao bowl breakfast options are better. The Chinese breakfast id skip at all cost the rice porridge not the wonton noodle soup is really acceptable. For dinner the pies were well just kinda bleh. Cool looking place though .

We came here for Valentine's Day dinner, particularly looking forward the pie options. When we arrived we found it was a set menu and limited a la carte meaning we couldn't get the pie options we had planned. We were greeted by a friendly hostess on the door, and seated quickly, however, after taking our drinks order the service became incredibly inattentive. We waited 20 minutes then had to flag someone down to take our order and it was a further 5 minutes after that until someone came over. We had 3 different waiters throughout the time there so it was difficult to know who to ask. Felt that this was poor for a fairly expensive restaurant. When we did get the food however it was really great. Chicken pie was excellent.

Incredible setting and food but a one off ... Set in a beautiful building, this place has a well curated selection of pies for a lunch sitting (assume dinner is similar) - of the 4 pies on the menu only 3 were available, which is baffling as it was 1pm... But the pork and fennel pie I did get was phenomenal - though I'd expect that at £28 Sides are equally delicious (in our case perfectly crisp chips, and well seasoned/sauced veg) - though also at c.£8-9 per item. Service was fine, relatively attentive, a little obsequious but to be expected. Great for a treat if you're loaded or the company is paying...

The restaurant is lacking in value for money as 450£ for dinner won’t leave you impressed. Service was good, with lots of attention. The environment is beautiful. The food was lacking in flavour. 26£ for tiny tuna tartar not worth at all. French onion soup needed salt. Pate looked more like a terrine. Beef and chicken pies were delicious. But the pork pie was a bit burnt and weird taste which is maybe why I had a stomach ache all night. Potato pie flavourless. Pies served on it’s own so the extras comes for 8£ each. Nothing special at all.

The only artisanal pies in central London, they never disappoint, pastry is spectacular, imho a bit too salty fillings. Sausage roll for £9, pies for 11-12. Mash no longer on the menu - there was the option to add it many years ago - but there is a dauphinoise potato pie.

Not going to lie, this place is only worth going to if a company or someone else is paying for it. I came here on my quest to try all of London's pies and while it was a super tasty pie, it was no where close to being worth the price. The pie and beer pictured below came out to £59. The staff was friendly and checked in regularly, but wow - £59. I expected to find a diamond buried somewhere beneath the crust. I just couldn't get over the price for what I got. If you're looking for pie, go to pretty much any other spot and pay a fraction of the price.

Great place for atmosphere. Portions aren’t generous but it’s the sort of place where you’d expect quality over volume. The bill stung - they charged what I felt was extortionately - particularly for staples like the bread basket and coffee. The pie was delicious and the staff friendly.

Memorable place though bit pricy and bit unwelcoming service I had a hand raised pork pie - it was flavorful and juicy. Was a great dish to try but definitely not a place as “go to” as it was quite expensive (27GBP) They also offer baking class - if you are interested in making own pie with friends/family, it seems quite nice to try out :)

The second time I was in the Pie Room. Wonderful service and highly recommend anyone who wants to have decent British pies. You can ask the waiter if you can visit the pie making room. The chefs were very friendly to show us what they were doing. Amazing concept. The only downside is the restroom is outside the restaurant. You have to go out first and downstairs, I suppose it is part of the hotel restroom.

After finally pulling the trigger after years of working in the neighborhood, I am very very disappointed in these overpriced pies. I was expecting so much given it is part of luxurious hotel chain Rosewood and at 13-14£ a pie, it better be amazing. However for me it tasted average at best. We tried both the chicken tarragon and the potato dauphinois. My biggest problem is that their pastry tasted sugary and sweet which was a bit odd, chicken was stale, very little mushroom sauce. Wouldn’t have the chicken pie if you paid me to eat it. The potatoe one was nicer but still would not reorder. Can’t believe they charge people 26£ for these if you sit inside! Now we also tried the sausage roll and that was quite decent. However it was just too big and i became nauseous at the end. Priced at 9£ its slightly more reasonable. Service: the lady there was very friendly but took about 3min to pack each pie for each customer so imagine when I realised I was fifth in line. Yes the packaging is nice but some speed would be appreciated. Conclusion: very disappointed, wouldn’t not recommend.

We booked this as treat for my wife’s birthday. Upon arrival the team were taking negatively about each other! We were then placed in an empty section at the back of the restaurant and assured that other customers would join the area. I can only describe it as ghostly! With all the other customers at the front on the restaurant, to be honest the atmosphere wasn’t fantastic anywhere in the restaurant! We then had to ask to be moved as no one came as promised as we where just sat their alone! The only atmosphere was coming from a party in the hotel courtyard! Americans from the music industry, I believe? Anyway, not only did they make rude comments at my wife as she when to the loos, but argued and shouted throughout our whole meal! (Btw.. they where your guests, not mine) So to sum up our experience! Awful! This is not a cheap venue and with a premium price, you expect premium service! At this price! Book elsewhere!!!!

Would love to give a better review for this upscale eatery but unfortunately I can't. Even though the restaurant was only a third full, they forgot my drinks order twice. Service was passable but veering towards the over-familiar. Prices were expensive for the food, especially the pies which were delicious but quite meager with no sides included. Went with my family. "Quality" restaurant, nice place, warm and welcoming. The pies were very good, we took the beef one with blue cheese and the pork one. Crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. All accompanied with gravy. The side dishes and dessert, a caramel cake with whiskey ice cream, were also good. Friendly, friendly and attentive staff. London is expensive, everything costs double, this place is even more expensive, each pie costs around 35 euros on average. The pies are not very large, but they are "heavy". 1 water, 1 starter, 3 pies, 2 side dishes and 1 dessert €200, really a lot, but I repeat, the restaurant is of a certain type. Experience to have.

The lamb pie was quite nice and could taste the mint coming through. However, the veggie pie was really really disappointing, no seasoning, no flavor of comté coming through at all, and no sign of any caramelized onions. Super disappointing it was just essentially potato, a bit of cream and no taste. The mash was also lacking serious seasoning. Given the price, we were not impressed. Friendly Italian waiter full of energy and enthusiasm, eager to please and this is something amazing to see in London restaurants But the food was awful 😖 😱 the much anticipated pork pie was just really average, nothing to shout home about. The beef Wellington was so so, Gordon Ramsey bread Street kitchen does a much better job. Levantine in Camden Town is an absolute gem when it comes to Middle Eastern food. The falafel is fresh and flavorful — you can get it as a full wrap or deconstructed, which is a nice touch depending on how you want to eat. The lamb is spectacular, full of rich spices and cooked perfectly. And the halloumi steaks with aioli? Easily one of my favorite things on the menu. I’ve been to Camden several times, and honestly, this is one of the few spots I keep coming back to. The food is consistently excellent, and that says a lot. If you’re around Camden and looking for something tasty, Levantine is definitely worth it.
