The PIcturedrome in Northampton

We went to the Picturedrome for A Night of Country Music with Country Bound. It was a great experience from start to finish. We managed to park over the road at The Racecourse car park, which was free. We decided to have a coffee before we had dinner. The coffee was lovely. Then we had dinner. Husband opted for salmon and couscous, which he said was full of lots of different flavours and absolutely delicious. I have a black and blue burger with Stilton, which was also delicious. It was all good value for money, too. The doors to our event opened at 8 pm. There is limited seating, which is OK for people needing accessible seating but is on high stools. There is a ramp for wheelchairs. The sound was great, as was the lighting. The service was also excellent. Kerry, the manager, was really friendly and made us feel like regular customers, as if she knew us well. The staff serving food and behind the bar were excellent, too. I'm ashamed to say that although I've lived in the county for years, I had never been there. We will definitely be going back. They have some great music events. Check it out!

We had our book club here, great food, and really friendly staff. Kerry made sure we were all fed, watered and looked after. We booked again for next month too. Thanks Kerry! Lucy

Ive been to the picturedrome a few times now . The staff are amazing and really helpful as I'm in a wheelchair. Nothing is a problem to the them . Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Went for the Bowie tribute and had some food before, no complaints with either!

This used to be a very good venue. It felt a bit tired when I visited recently with my 9-year old son for food. Also, the food was mediocre at best. The Lamplighter is a better option for food.

It's a nice place but you do need to sort out your heat in that other room it was so hot in there it made me sick twice and yes the staff was so good the young lad and the 2 girls cos was not drunk as I only had has 3 drinks so I'm not sure I'll come back again cos of that nice place tho that room 👍🏿😒😊

Went to a Comedy night. Compere was brilliant and enjoyed 1st comedian the best. The other two were fine and grateful for the entertainment!

Food was great and Bowie show was great I am sure we will be back

This is a lovely place and always really welcoming staff and great seating. We'd go more if they offered nicer veggie sausages with the breakfast menu!

I hadn't been to The Picturedrome in years but met a friend for lunch. Had the mini breakfast which is served until 5pm each day it was lovely will definitely be back.

Recently went there to watch the six nations game between England and Wales, had a booked table everything was really good, would go again.

Went with a friend to the Silent disco!! Absolutely brilliant night.

Great place, fantastic venue great food and regular entertainment.

Quiet atmosphere with a nice feel to the upper section. Food was pretty good although there had been a little confusion as to what was on offer. Thursday evenings seem to be a good time to go as there is live music on offer at the back of the establishment

I went to the picturedrome for a meal on Friday evening.The food was outstanding .The customer service was second to none.Kerrie is an asset to the picturedrome.We will be returning very soon.

Really cool - split into a bar area and a larger area with a stage for bands etc.

Booked a table to have a meal before staying to watch a gig. One friend wanted to eat with us but couldn’t stay for the gig. She ordered the vegetarian nachos - when it arrived it had chicken all over (2 others had the same issue). She sent it back and asked for a replacement. This delay meant that she hadn’t quite finished when the gig started. She was told rather rudely to take her food out of the backroom and eat it alone in the front. We explained the delay. She wasn’t staying, simply eating with her friends. This didn’t make the slightest difference. The rudeness was inexcusable. Putting meat on a vegetarian dish is disgraceful. Staff need customer service and training, chefs need to up their game.

I do genuinely understand that occasionally things have to change, suppliers cgange etc but the Picturedrome breakfast used to be AMAZING.... and whilst they're still good, sadly they're not as good. Nothing needed to change, the curly sausage rings and cubed potatoes have gone, and they were what made the breakfasts special and different to other places . I really don't want to make it sound like the breakfast wasn't good, because it was still tasty... but it's lost its wow factor for me personally.

Had a brilliant night out here last Saturday. 4 of us had a meal before we went into the Motown night. We all had the Scotch egg starter, served warm and a soft boiled egg in the middle, it was superb, & we all agreed it was one of the best we’ve ever eaten. Then we all had a steak which just melted in your mouth, again, superb and the chips were lovely too. We will certainly be eating here again. Then went through to the ‘disco’ which was brilliant too, all the Motown music that you could want & it was great to see so many people dancing. Fantastic night out and only £5 pp, great value .

Very pleasant and professional staff, well maintained building, no horrendous toilets, good range of drinks, fast service, very good venue for 'smaller' music acts, pretty good atmosphere and decent vibe with clientele. Not the absolute best overall that I've been to for such an establishment but not far off.

Just had my 50th birthday party at Picturedrome and what an amazing night . Kerrie and the whole team were fantastic and helped create such brilliant party . Great venue- great food - great team

Called in for a pre Christmas catch up with old friends we had not seen for a while. Food was great, curry from the specials board went down well! Prompt and friendly service too. We'll be back!

Went here this morning to do a recce of the place and the food before we decide whether to have an evening meal and attend the Motown night. Wow, what a very nice surprise. Firstly, it was 10am & they were busy, which is always a good sign but not too busy that we had to wait any length of time for anything. We found a seat and within a minute a young waitress came to take our order. My husband and I both had the full English breakfast and I had coffee, hubby had a pot of tea ( which he was very impressed about…a pot!!!😀). The breakfast was delicious, absolutely nothing wrong with anything, particularly impressed with the hash browns and the crusty bread, toasted. Also there was a lovely atmosphere in there and a varied mix of ages and groups of people. Went to the bar to pay and had a chat with a guy behind the bar ( owner/ barman/manager?) & he was extremely helpful in explaining what to do about booking for the show etc. Really friendly. So impressed that we Have now booked for a meal and tickets for the Motown night. Very much looking forward to it.

We had our works Christmas party at the Picturedrome. The DJ was great, staff were really friendly and enough of them on so no que's at the bar. Great venue.

Best experience I’ve had for Christmas do. The food was warm and tasty. The service was brilliant. Servers were friendly and patient. Names were called for meals which was a great idea to avoid any confusion. Shout out to Bailey and Ruby in particular but all staff were amazing!

The Picturedome is a fine venue with an excellent sound system. We saw U2-2 here last night & they were amazing! They have the sound & the look down to a T. After a rough start when ‘The Edge’ was experiencing some technical probs they soon took off & played a solid set of magical music, yep! They’re that good! It’s no wonder that they’ve received the Thumbs Up from the official U2 camp. Glad that we went out, last night! (Didn't eat so gave the food a medium rating)

Great place .. but be warned the alcohol free beer sells out fast. Could probably do with more or a selection of others.

Went for Christmas dinner. 26 of us and it was soo well organised. Food was very nice and atmosphere was superb. Full dance floor

Fantastic venue for a fantastic event!! Drinks great value & felt safe!

I took my family for a mid-week evening meal. Three had burnt burgers. The buffalo chicken wings were also burnt. My chicken and broccoli alfredo was basically penned pasta smothered in grated cheese. Not great. I ate three quarters of it before I chewed on something absolutely foul. It was supposed to be chicken but it tasted like rotting mackerel with a dose of insecticide. I had to spit it out. It left a disgusting oily/metallic taste in my mouth for the rest of the evening. I can only assume that insecticide like cockroach killer had got onto the chicken. I complained and the young man (manager?) took the offending food away and offered me a drink, which I declined. The bill came and my 'meal' was on it. I informed the young man that I didn't want to pay for my meal as I had to send some of it back due to there being something disgusting in it. I was surprised that he started arguing that I should pay for the bit I had eaten and he would give me a discount for the sickening portion I had sent back. I pointed out that my whole meal had been ruined and I was concerned that I could be ill due to whatever I had eaten. This culminated in him writing a new bill, minus my food charge. He threw the bill on the counter and walked away in a huff, obviously not happy at my complaint. Appart from that, the waitress was extremely pleasant and very helpful.

Food and service very good. Well worth a visit.

This is a nice venue for events, very practical layout, the staff are friendlyand efficient. However the event I attended - one more time club classics, was not very good as the DJ was rubbish, could not mix and played the same songs 2-3 times within a 3 hour period. Also one of the ladies at the bar tried to charge me double when she had actually poured a single!!

We went to the 90s disco night and had an amazing time, great atmosphere and music, would definitely return!

The band was amazing. Smoking area upstairs out the back is a great idea. I can't rate food as I didn't have any. The bar staff are friendly. I would recommend it to everyone!

Watched the Kaiser Monkey Killers here, who were awesome. Great atmosphere, good selection of drinks both bottled and on tap. Only downside was the drinks prices going up as the night went on. Not exclusive to here as a lot of places seem to do this now, but annoying nonetheless.

Lovely staff, decent food. Service has always been great but I think the new manager is taking advantage of his staff by asking them to take orders at the tables. It's a pub serving food and they already get their steps in without adding to their plight.

Came to watch Noasis, great experience. Nice drinks, decent service at the bar too.

Fantastic breakfast on the weekend, a little more expensive than other places though.

Ate here for Sunday lunch. We had two courses. Food was delicious especially the Sunday lunch. I had roast beef which was of very good quality and cooked perfectly. My husband had roast chicken Good quality veg and portions were of a good size. Sticky toffee pudding was yummy. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be returning

I've had a couple of great nights out here, the live music venue is spacious and well laid out, there are good vibes of the stage from almost everywhere.

What a cracking breakfast! The full English was BRILLIANT. Lovely fresh food. The building is gorgeous and it’s so nice to see an old building repurposed in this way. There’s plenty of room for large groups for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great helpful staff and such a positive welcoming atmosphere.

Genuinely great place, the event seating area & stage provided the perfect environment for a relaxing evening. All members of staff were very friendly and helpful. Good parking over the road at the pavilion.

Really clear the pride the owner operator takes in this place, with excellent and knowledgeable service and a genuine passion for hospitality! A great asset to the area and we need to keep venues like this going! In every sense; music, entertainment, good food and good beer- Highly recommend!

Have always liked the staff at this pub. The foods even better now its changed ownership some yrs ago. Can't get a better music venue back room ....sounds incredible. A pub for all the family of any age welcome

I went here with friends tonight and had an awful night due to door staff and management. Door staff smoking outside not professionally and chucked and chucked entire group out for no reason!!!

Having been here more than once now, I went for lunch today for the vegan Falafel and avocado baguette with salad garnish and side of fries. It was delicious and so filling left being full up so much so couldnt do a pudding this time. Staff are all so friendly and it’s a lovely place to eat.

Atmosphere would have been better if the baby's were not there kept it to children who were school age but I did enjoy it was first time there

Had a great night out here watching a band. Beautiful venue, quick service at the bar and a brilliant act. I look forward to our next adventure here.

More than a bar, a great entertainment venue. Helpful, friendly staff. Drinks are a bit pricey. There's ample free parking directly opposite.

I bought tickets for a show but no where did the website state they didn’t include seats, and if you want to sit down you should reserve a table. Wasn’t very impressed having to sit upstairs near the roof terrace with very limited visibility.

Went for my first ever visit and didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious so tasty and nice to see more than one option being a vegan. I went for the chilli and it was full of vegetables.. the chips are so good too! And my pudding of chocolate fudge cake with the ice cream was perfect. The staff are so friendly too and good deal half price food mon- fri definitely going back for more !

We saw The Jets here and the venue has alot of atmosphere, its small and intimate. Had a good bar and dance floor. The toilets were also spotless. Had food before the gig started which was fine. We didn't have to wait long for our food and the staff were very polite.

Really nice pub - however, when watching a film recently could barely hear it and when they did turn it up (barely) it was mumbled. Disappointing.

Love this place. Never really see any trouble there and always good events on.

Watch out if you book tickets for Picturedrome Northampton 🤬 I rushed when I booked gig tickets for a family night out and missed it's over 18s (my daughter is 16.). They are refusing to refund our three adult tickets (the rest of us are 18 plus) despite advertising that they only don't refund under 18s. Absolutely terrible customer service and I wouldn't buy tickets again if I were paid.

Had the half price food offer last night... chicken kebab... it was superb value. Also the 2 colleagues serving us were excellent. Thank you

Lovely, relaxed venue always a warm welcome & good service. Today I tried the Jamaican curry, nicely spiced, fluffy white rice & usual sides, excellent lunch ,generous portion at a great price.

I almost don't want to write a review for the Picturedrome as I don't want it to get crowded. It is a place I go to at least twice a week. Half price on selected meals Monday to Thursday. Lovely staff, great meals .

Great place for entertainment, friendly and helpful staff. Great food excellent service, good variety of vegatarian food and vegan options. Ticket prices are Great, good value for money all round. The only problem is parking, might find some in the side streets or across the road in the Racecourse.

Great venue, great food and great drinks selection.

Visited on a Sunday morning ordering coffee and a bacon sandwich. Waited 20 minutes then went to counter and asked where my sandwich was. it became apparent they had forgotten my order, and as I had a train to catch I asked for a takeaway sandwich. I waited a further 10 minutes then had to leave as I would have missed my train. Awful service and will certainly not be visiting again. would have been zero stars but this option was not available.

Always a great night out when they do their theme nights - tickets are affordable and drinks aren't too bad, so decent value overall. Staff are friendly and helpful. The lack of seating in the events room is always a challenge (especially in heels!) but I understand they want to sell as many tickets as possible and give people space to dance. One tip (for ladies) is to join the toilet queue in advance of desperation, as you'll likely be standing there for 10/15 minutes. The great atmosphere makes up for all that, so I recommend it.

Picturedrome always does some really good nights. Always a friendly crowd there and never any trouble. The venture is great although the prices are on the slightly steep side. Always a good meal there too if your hungry and the brunch is always a winner
