Love the decor (especially the effort gone to in Christmas deckrations) and the general atmosphere for both the inside and outside seating areas. The food is also delicious and very wholesome. If you haven't tried traditional lithuanian food then you are missing out and Savas does it as well as any restaurant I've been to in lithuania. I went with my wife and two sons (10 and 15) and a good meal for all of us (main course and drinks) came to £56 which, in the current climate, is pretty good as the portions are huge.

Opening hours should be updated. Closed at 1pm on Friday.

It used to be very good , but recently it’s gone downhill. This is a third time in a row we had bad experience. Staff are miserable, and food comes out at most random times , they will bring one main out , 20 min later a starter and then another 30 min the other mains … food isn’t fresh either , potato pancakes are out of packet mix , sauces that meant to be hot are cold . Garnishes look like seen better days - potatoes seem to be microwaved to the point it dried out. Also , what’s with the barbecue guy going in and out to the yard and never shutting the door ? It’s nearly minus temperature, I don’t want to be freezing indoors whilst waiting for food , so inconsiderate … It used to be good friendly staff and fresh food - bring it back ! We used to bring friends and relatives here to show off Lithuanian cuisine , but we are too embarrassed now , so are not going to come back for a while

Great place, very authentic. A really nice beer garden, or whatever you call it, reminds me of Lido in Riga. The shashliks (grilled pork/chicken) are amazing and for 15 pounds you get a generous portion of chips, salad, pickled onions and meat. Those who miss Baltic/Russian cuisine must visit!

I am a fan of Lithuanian food. But today I was very disappionted. The food was bad and the cepelinai/potato dumplings were not similar to those in Lithuania. The staff were rude and were rushing. The Russian music didn't help the atmosphere either.

Complete disaster. Depends on your standards. If you have class and self respect and dignity you wouldn’t even be looking at it.

Food was alright but I would give 0 stars if I could for the poor customer service of the staff. Not only the food came late, but we were told we cannot share starters or desserts and they refused to give us cutlery. We had to beg them to bring us spoons and forks…and when we challenged them to ask why they said they’re not allowed to share and that we have to order more desserts which is absurd. Basically tried forcing us to order more sweets. What if someone has health issues and cannot eat a full dessert and wants to share? When asked further, they didn’t care and ignored us but with their own people (Lithuanian clients they were polite and friendly. Only with foreigners they didn’t care so much what we needed). Very terrible place and wouldn’t recommended it to no one for this poor customer service.

Been here 6 years ago and didn’t return because food was bad. Decided to give it a try again and the food is bad again. Pina Colada had barely any alcohol in it, cepelinai had a very weird meat inside , the bacon topping for the cepelinai barely had any bacon but instead some crumb, and the cepelinai felt like they were previously frozen. Poor quality of the food . Music is too loud you cannot have a conversation with you partner. Maybe it’s worth increasing the prices but using quality products to achieve a better flavour palette, because felt very very bland . Felt like being back in 90s in Lithuania .

My husband and I have eaten at this restaurant about 2-3 times a year for years. We absolutely adore the dumplings and have always enjoyed a good experience. Sadly in a recent visit with family, we were charged £3.50 for a jug of water and 50p for a takeaway box. We do not mind paying but it would have been a lot better if we were told before hand. Water was always free in our past experience and yes, I asked for tap water. Nothing fancy. Felt rather let down.

Just had fabulous lunch at Savas Kiemas for my (Lithuanian) husband’s birthday. Had no idea that there was a Lithuanian restaurant in Northampton but will definitely be back. Had some wonderful soups but the real star was the Cepelinas which we had with bacon and sour cream. My family said they were as good as those we had in Vilnius. Portions were so generous we took some home on doggy bags. Really recommend if you are looking for authentic Lithuanian fare

First i call to book a table straight away was told me was fully booked, then i pass the phone to my girlfriend that is Lithuanian and they say 20 minutes there would be a free table, then after get there they took 15 minutes to give us the Menu, then we wait nearly 40 minutes to be served, not friendly environment. Don't recommend.

The food is delicious and totally hit my taste 👌🏽Lithuanian cuisine is very similar to Polish, these are the flavors of my childhood!!! I highly recommend 🫶🏽 The food arrives always fresh and warm to the house, the portions are also quite large - I haven't had the opportunity to visit them yet, but soon because really worth it 10/10. For me, one of the best restaurants in Northampton where you can eat a normal, homemade and tasty dinner.

Waitress very unproffesional. Music is to loud , because of that eceryone is shouting. Very unconfortable. Ones we waited ovwr an hour for food and arrived cold. Waitres dont even apologies. For owner to look at this issue. But in general food is nice and fresh. Portions is hudge and price is reasonable. I recomend it. Place is clean and nice.

Visited yesterday. Food was OK but service non existent... restaurant was almost empty - yet nobody bothered to approach us, we had to ask if we can order the drinks... same with food- had to look for staff to ask if we can order. Nobody ever approached to ask if everything was OK. No offers of dessert. Same with pay - had to look for someone to pay... absolute ignorance. Service extremely disappointing, wouldn't recommend. Sad 😕

Visited today for lunch, traditional food for my wife, lovely place warm and snug for winter nice outside space for warmer weather, food was very nice, different from your usual, which is nice for a change, had delicious pork special and a variety of other tastes !. Will come again.

the food is excellent, the portions are enough to fill you up, the staff are friendly, but there is still a very disturbing thing that makes you eat quickly and leave the place, I don't know, maybe that's the point, it's the music that plays so loud that you don't you can hear your interlocutor, we had to ask the staff about three or four times to turn the music down and finally we couldn't resist and we all left.

Food was delicious but was a long wait for food

Went to this wonderful restaurant on Saturday lunchtime and had a mesmerising soup and fried potato main. Being British I wanted to try something new and was very impressed with the menu! Me and my brother will be back to try something on the evening menu. Thank you for a great lunch all the best x

Great big portions!! Tasty food!

Excellent eastern European food. Good hearty fare with appropriate beers to wash them down. The charcho soup was particularly tasty.

Our order was taken incorrectly, and when this was mentioned to the waitress she denied it was her fault and i was made to wait another 20 min when the rest of my family’s food was already there. Once the food did come it had a hair in it. Safe to say no one finished their meal. They took it off the bill and reluctantly gave a discount of 20% which to be honest wasn’t actually visible by the amount we ended up paying given that no one actually left feeling full or satisfied. Evening and mood ruined and the service was mediocre at best as they looked stone cold barely cracking a fake smile. Would not recommend

Cheap food, good services and friendly staff. We had a waitress named Samanta who was extremely helpful and gave good recommendations.

Everything was very good until we were served by a young girl (it's a pity, but I didn't notice the names). But everything turned upside down when the older woman appeared in the hall. The dishes are not collected, but "swept" from the table, without even asking if we have finished dinner, although there was still food left on the plates. When you approach the bar to pay, neither thank you nor please (like in Lithuanian Maxsimoj :) We felt like not quite welcome customers. P.S. We had dinner on Saturday 15.10.2022

Always delicious food. They brought food for our daughter first that was really nice. But waitresses almost never smiling.

Unfortunately food quality have gone downhill in this restaurant while prices gone up double. Used to love this place but last 2 times paying £60-£70 for a bad quality food for a 2 people is out of order. I advice you to look into this problem as I know few more people who stop going to your restaurant because of worsening food quality :(

The owner is the rudest and most unhelpful individual I have ever come across, i have never seen such disgusting displays toward to other staff and employees. Not only did it set a bad image of the behind the scenes but also sets a bad vibe that no one should be supporting. This is mistreatment of staff, I feel sorry for the workers that have to deal with her and it makes it a depressing place to have a meal.

Great service and even better food nice authentic atmosphere we will be coming back for their magnificent soups and cepelinai.

Came from Coventry (1h drive),website and Google shows working till 9pm, waitress said they are closing now (7pm) despite the fact people were still sitting inside. Apparently if there not a lot of costumers they allowed to shut. Waste of time.

Always enjoy coming here when I’m in town. Generous portions and very homely. Don’t go if you’re in a hurry though. Like all good meals Lithuanian food can take a little time to prepare, so sit back and enjoy a couple of Svytury’s while you wait… 5 Stars

We went there today and first of all restaurant is located in not the best area in Northampton. Very dodgy I would say. Restaurant inside looks nice has a nice style. Food was ok, not over the top. I did enjoy beetroot soup the cold one. The main reason we didn’t like the place and we definitely not going back is the waitress. She was so arrogant and rude. We’ve left 120£ for such a unpleasant service. The way she was talking towards us was not a good experience especially when you want to try Lithuanian Cuisine.

Really nice , I would highly recommend the deep fried bread with a garlic mayonnaise and cheese. Amazing 😋 They are on just eat as well if you are not to far away

So tonight myself and my friend came for a nice meal, first time for me. We arrived just gone 7pm to be told the restaurant closes at 8pm but it says online closes at 9pm. We chose to stay and have a meal and a drink. Our food arrived and within 5minutes the waitress asked how we was paying, she left and then arrived again 5minutes later to ask if we had left the money and we wasnt even harf way through our meal. We wasnt asked how our food was, if we wanted anything else we generally felt rushed. We had almost finished when 3 ladies running the restaurant came and sat 2 tables from us and kept looking over to see if we had finished. The waitress who served us was very rude and blunt, didnt feel friendly at all. We will not be coming again which is a shame as the food was really nice but felt so rushed and rude staff.

Good service, food average, but good price and ambient atmosphere

When we came to a Lithuanian restaurant, of course we decided to try Lithuanian dishes. We ordered zeppelins and Kėdainiai pancakes. The grater of zeppelins is rubbery, and the crust of pancakes is such that it is difficult to cut even with a knife. It seems that the addition of starch has been greatly exaggerated. And minced meat, both in zeppelins and pancakes - one salt. In Soviet times, meat was cooked in such a way that you wouldn't feel like it was stinking meat. No complaints about the service, but the food is terrible.

Nightmare!!!! Service level -10 It's a pity that you can't give 0 stars. We visited for the first and last time. We didn't even have time to taste the food. Only when we entered were attacked by two "Cobras" (you can't call them a woman) lowest-level employees, who reminded me a lot of Soviet Lithuania working station cafes "buffet", which declared that there are no seats!!!!! Although there were 4 free tables... It was 1:30 p.m., they said that everything was ordered from 2:00 p.m.... We said that 30 minutes would be enough for us, after all, it is quite a long way of 50 miles. Maybe we will taste fried bread with cheese and beer. Well, ice cream with juice for the children..... It was stated that they wouldn't be able to bring the bread in half an hour........ Well, what else can you add... My condolences to Savininka... I wouldn't accept such employees, even as cleaners, what to say about the work of a waitress.....

The food is tragic (steaks with paper-thick meat and half a kg of dried fruit, the pancakes are burnt, even the pancakes 🙄🙄 fried bread with an unclear cheese sauce-I think it's a mix with flour), the service is a tragedy.. The first thing is not the customers, but the cigarettes, you have to wait for the smoke and not yet satisfied that he has not finished smoking. I wonder if they at least wash their hands, because both the cooks and the waitresses stink. Home food is probably not even for people 🤮🤮 I don't recommend it, it's a terrible pub. NOT recommended 🤮🤮

We often come from London to visit family and each time we come we always visit this place! Food portions are huge and fresh tasty traditional rustic food. To those people that complain about the waiting time- the menu is huge with big selection I am surprised how they get it all done in the amount of time that they have and it’s not fast food place. In Lithuania when we go out to eat we’ll take our time chat have drinks not rush. By the way pork fillet in bread crumbs with mushroom sauce is best or chicken shashlik and cherry beer 😍

We haven't dined in at Savas Kiemas yet but we just had a meal delivered. Honestly one of the best things we've ever tasted. So much flavour, the fried bread with garlic cheese is absolutely out of this world. This place is one of Northampton's best kept secrets as we happened upon it by chance. We will definitely be booking a table very soon

One star for homemade drink "Gira", was tasty. Food looks okay but taste not great at all, chicken was dry and tasteless, was very little butter inside just lots of herbs. Meat filling inside "cepelinai"/ potato dumplings was very weired and didn't taste nice. "White"salad was ok but not something we would come back for. Waited for order around 40 minutes and the restaurant was empty! Unfortunately, it wasn't best experience of Lithuanian food which is really shame as if it's prepared from good quality products and with seasoning it tastes delicious!

Really enjoyable food - good portions, reasonably priced and relatively quick service for a Friday night. Would definitely recommend. Service was absolutely fine too. I think in some of the comments here, either people have had a genuinely bad experience which can happen or there were different expectations for a service experience for a restaurant specialising in Lithuanian food. You should / are likely to get fast, efficient service and generally speaking if you need something it will be catered for. The service will be friendly but direct and to the point and they're not going to come check on you every 5 mins. But go and speak to them and they will get you what you want, no issues.

If I could I would give 0 stars. Rude woman from the start informing me and my partner that "we are closing" while restaurant is still open for another hour. Within literally 5mins when we were looking into their menu she said "kitchen is closing in 8mins" so basically hurry up people. If you don't have people skills and totally lack of customer service then you shouldn't be working in a restaurant. Leran some manners or leave this job. After giving us food we opened the boxes and portion of chips was ridiculous. I said it to her that one dish has more chips than the other so how it comes. She said that this is a regular portion. I paid £12 for my meal with half of the chips portion and half of the salad box. I had to go to the chicken and kebab shop to order portion of chips. Chicken Kiev was tiny and amount of disgusting and oily bread crumb was shocking. Rude and obnoxious. AVOID AVOID AVOID

After the second visit, we were very disappointed, we waited for food for 1.5 hours. The food was tasteless, the sprinkles on the whole dish were not sprinkles and I had to ask what the sprinkles were. Also, who puts dill on zeppelins. Not dill but onion leaves are added. We order earthen pancakes for takeaway and after asking if they are fried on a pan or cooked in oil, I got the answer that they are fried in a pan. I was clearly unsuccessful, because only oil can burn so evenly. You have to make an effort, and if something goes wrong that day, it's better not to serve food.
