The food and drinks were excellent—great quality dishes and perfectly poured pints. The flavors were spot on, and everything was served at just the right temperature. We went 2 weeks ago turkish event unfortunately it wasn’t good because the place was really small and crowded people and air condition wasn’t on it we hadn’t enjoyed the time in this place

A great pub to join your mates for a beer 🍺 after work. Can get very busy but the vibe was amazing I didn't eat but the burgers looked awesome

So good!! We hosted a party in the basement venue with 100 guests, catering, drinks, and music. Richard was so helpful throughout the booking process and on the day. Everything ran so smoothly and with no issues at all. Had such a good night which was helped by everyone here being so accommodating. Would 100% recommend!

£13 for a burger, fries and a pint at lunchtime! Discovered it today and was very a nice burger too

Unbelievable experience brilliant staff

I love this place and have been a regular for over 10 years. Service can be a little slow at times but my biggest gripe is with the Guinness. Please educate the staff in the art of pouring the perfect pint. We left early on Thursday in our quest for just that to another nearby establishment. Please try harder.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Phoenix! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. What really made my visit stand out, though, was Kieran’s exceptional service. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, offering great drink recommendations and checking in on us regularly without being overbearing. You can tell he really cares about creating a great experience for the guests. The pub itself is cozy, with a great selection of drinks and delicious food. I will definitely be coming back, and Kieran’s top-notch service will be a big reason why! Highly recommend The Phoenix for anyone looking for a great pub experience!

so, I was talking down Oxford street, and was sick of shopping. I wanted a pint. I found this glorious location, with a good Guinness on my mind. I was not disappointed. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, but especially young Jamie, who was very approachable. I left feeling satisfied, and replenished by the amazing fish and chips. Brought me back to my days in the 60s when I had a lovely one in Llandudno.

I visited this pub with my Spanish friends the other day and what I appreciated the most was the quality of the service. In particular, Jamie’s table service. It made the English pub experience much better as he could understand us perfectly and was able to recommend us the best drinks.

The food was delicious, the space was comfortable, and the service was outstanding... Special mention to Jamie, the young man who served us, he was professional, friendly, and very attentive. A perfect 5/5!

I was recently on a trip to London and I wanted to go to an authentic pub, this one came out recommended and the truth is that it was one of the best things I took from my trip, both the food and the atmosphere were very good but above all the service, highlighting the great service Jamie the waiter gave me and made me feel at home. To all the people who are reading this review, I encourage you to visit this pub before leaving the city.

An attractive pub with delicious food. There're good vegan options on the menu. We weren't wowed by the staff, but they were efficient. The venue downstairs is great; we went to a daytime family event there

I've never had a bad experience at the Phoenix The management and staff always do their utmost to provide a great service. And their club nights are legendary.

8 of us booked a table. When we went to the table it was set up for 6. So we asked the bar staff to get 2 more chairs for the ends and it was a bit squashed. My partner didn't get her chips with her chicken schnitzel so we had to ask for them. We didn't get napkins so I had to go the bar to ask for them. My phoenix burger was soggy underneath and the chicken schnitzel was hard to eat as was tough. Also the chicken schnitzel had no tomatoes in the salad even though it was described as having a tomato salad. Not great ! Apart from that service at the bar was quick and friendly and everything else was good. Massively let down by the food in every respect.

I was attending a stand-up comedy. The show went well, but the bar staff brought it down by making noise with glasses, clean-up and unpacking boxes. I fell sorry for the artists.

We had a booking for 2.5 hours and were moved from our table after an hour. Not provided another table and then told our booking was wrong. No solution given and just blamed us for the error. Also £7.55 for a Guinness is criminal
