The Pestle & Mortar in Hinckley and Bosworth

A little gem in Hinckley serving great ales, ciders and lagers in a unique environment. Veltins on tap in the UK is a rarity but it is without doubt the best pint in town - and at under £4 a pint, one of the cheapest. The selection of cask ales changes but no one ever complains and there's always Bass on - and "a damn fine pint" it is according to a good mate of mine

Great little place for a good choice of drinks. The cheese and onion cobs are great value. It's a shame we don't live closer or it would be my local for a decent pint.

Not the largest place but still big enough. One of the best selection of real ale and ciders around. Sue who own this place keeps prices fair- In fact there's not many places in Hinckley where you can get pints for around £4 or less so we'll done!!

I have not been in the P&M for a long time and forgot what a great drinking pub it is. Great choice of real ale, friendly place with lots of quirky pub attire. Just had drink.

We had an amazing night here as a small group. Lovely and cosy quirky pub. Lovely comfy seats and a great selection of drinks. Nice and clean inside, and the barstaff were friendly and efficient. It's an interesting pub with all of the decor and funky gents urinals made from beer barrels. Just go! You'll love it.

First time at the Pestle & Mortar since moving to the area, staff and locals are very friendly and a good selection of ciders. The bar is dog friendly which was a bonus. Will definitely visit again.

As someone who works with Sue and her team on a professional basis, I am delighted to say that their beer is kept well, the atmosphere is always great and the staff friendly and engaging. I'm lucky enough to be paid to go the Pestle and Mortar through work but wouldn't hesitate to visit socially either

The staff here are great, really friendly and helpful, the bar snacks are good quality and VFM, the pork pie was £3.50 and large enough to be shared between 4, included a pot of pickles, they also do ham batches which are excellent. The regulars are decent people and ambiance relaxed. Real ale is ok here.

Great pub with character in abundance for a swift pint or 2 or 3.... Also provide cobs and other snacks with a range of toppings, cheese and onion my favourite. Highly recommend
