On a recent visit to Manchester, I stopped by The Pasty Shop at Manchester Piccadilly for a quick bite and was delightfully surprised. I was served by Stu, who was both knowledgeable and friendly. He put my mind at ease by addressing my concerns about potential food allergens. The veg pasty that Stu recommended was absolutely delicious, and I’m glad I took his advice. Stu is a valuable asset to the team at The Pasty Shop, thanks to his prompt, friendly, and excellent customer service, all delivered with a smile.

Many thanks to Dot for making me a bacon sandwich and a brew when I only had 10 minutes before my train departed. The bacon sandwich was a bit on the cold side but apart from that, everything was brilliant.

Ordered a Too Good to Go surprise bag and Thamina was super lovely and helped to make sure it was suited to my dietary requirements on her own onus. Great customer service for which I’m immensely grateful. Since returned and Dot was also great, showing this place seemingly only hires nice people!

Very friendly service from Dot. I asked if she could refill my water bottle and she even offered to put ice cubes in.

The staff is very friendly and nice! The food and drinks were good. Very light and fluffy excellent for traveling! Allergies were listed in a qr code so didn't need to worry about cross contamination!

With the greatest of respect to how delicious the traditional Cornish pasties are. When you are facing a bill of £14 for two pasties there's an important ingredient that allows you to swallow the cost easier and that's customer service. Thankfully I had Thamina serve me in the Manchester Piccadilly shop today and her smile, her pleasant manner and ability to remind me how great the pasties taste made everything worth it. The pasties looked nice here and the lady behind the counter was just getting some fresh ones out of the oven. I asked her what type of pasties were on the tray to which she asked “what are you after?”. I said “I don’t know. Something very hot. What are on that tray?”. She replied “They’re all hot. What do you want?” She obviously didn’t want to serve me so I said “thank you” and beat a pasty, er I mean ‘hasty’ retreat. Needless to say, I didn’t get to taste the food at this establishment and won’t be shopping at The Pasty Shop anytime soon :-)

Have to agree with other reviews, this place should be avoided. Charging £6.59 for a very average pasty is just a rip off. I should've just walked away when the price came up on the card reader. Deserves to go out of business.

May I bring to the notice of the managers here of my experience at around 2pm on the 5th of June 2024. Me and the better half thought of getting ourselves a pasty as an appetiser before proceeding elsewhere and we were served by the most impolite and disinterested lady. It was almost as though she was serving free food to us with an attitude that said - “just take it and leave”. We maintained our manners and said “thank you and have a nice day” before leaving to which she responded with a turned back. No acknowledgement or revert. The service reflected in the quality of the pasty. Felt like it had been sitting on a hot iron for hours. Zero flavour and just very hot potatoes inside. She gave us the wrong pasty but we did not want to interact again with such a disrespectful individual.

This morning I bought a pasty . The woman who served me was the most miserable sourfaced individual I have ever come across. I've been in the food service industry for 38 years,and this is the worst standard I have ever come across,scary.

Nearly £7 for rock hard steak pasty. Assistant said it was 40 minutes old - dream on, The trick is, it is served so hot that by the time you can eat it you’re away

The pastry was great but the service from the woman this morning was quite rude. She threw the pastry in the bag without even looking what she was serving and turned around uncaringly. Looked so unbothered about working and having to deal with people. They need to do something about the service at this place.
