I cannot fault this pub. All staff are friendly and very efficient making you feel welcome. They are very accommodating to any requests. The food is excellent especially the catch of the day and fish and chips. We have had several meals during our stay including breakfast when joining other members of the family staying at the pub. Comfortable surroundings with bonus of spectacular views. The family staying in the rooms were extremely impressed and could not fault anything. Well done to all staff for making this such a wonderful pub to have in Coverack.

What an amazing place - we stayed in Coverack for 2 weeks and came here a few times. The food was excellent and the staff were all wonderful. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone who visits Coverack. The staff made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much for them. We even joined in with the pub quiz one evening, which was great fun. Thank you so much to Maisie, Kelly, Phoebe, Anya and Dan. Keep smiling Maisie 😃😘

First rate as always. Jamie has a great team, fabulous food and amazing sea views. For those walking the coast path The Paris could not be more perfect. It is next to it. The homemade steak and ale pie was perfect. I’m told by my friends that the fish and chips was excellent too. Well done Jamie! (Visited 31/7/24)

The Paris is a little gem we have been going for several years now and Jamie and his fantastic team are bringing this pub/hotel /restaurant into the heart of the community… It’s recently had a make over and it has made a huge difference to the fella of the pub but without taking the heart out of the village pub. The menu has been cut down a little aswell But that has only enhanced the quality and the presentation of the food If you get chance try the specials they really are just that I had the monkfish wrapped in Parma ham it was stunning full of flavour it was imense. The daily dinner time sandwiches and very nice aswell and filling…. Please book for evening meals to avoid disappointment The Sunday carvery great value and full of flavour all freshly coming out readily fresh and hot…. We will be back soon the 2 lovely northners as described by Phoebe one of the fantastic bar staff a real credit to the team and the others there see you soon . :)

We stayed in Coverack for a week for a family holiday. Really pleased to have a pub within walking distance, however the welcome was not friendly from the start! Sour faced, unwelcoming lady behind the bar (most likely the landlady). Behaviour was clearly different for locals, however happy to take holiday makers money. We did return as it was the only pub in the village, but decided not to eat there. The fish and chip shop near by were very welcoming!

Will absolutely be back for another great value night out before we head home, for a fabulous night with a friendly crowd, look no further, perfect.

Booked for 1 night as walking coastal path and arrived after a long walk to a really cold building, I can't believe they don't have a log burner on the go. The room is fine on the surface but you don't have to look to hard to see many layers of dust and stains. The shower was unusable with only a few trickles of water which was not what you wanted after a long walk. The evening meal was fine but hard to enjoy as building so cold. Breakfast the next day was brilliant though and the absolute best thing about our stay.

Booked family room for 1 night. Had evening meal and breakfast at hotel , both of which were fine. Staff friendly and helpful. Very disappointed with the family room it was a double room which they had just managed to squeeze a sofa bed in. The sofa bed only left a few inches at the end between it and the wall which blocked all access to the window unless you climbed over the bed. This made opening window very difficult and to be honest you could only open it at certain times because the big extractor flue from the kitchen was directly outside the window and extremely noisy, but did go quiet at night thankfully. Room wasn't cheap at £140 a night and most surprised when I told the owner we were disappointed his abrupt response was " I can only work with what I've got" . I totally understand that but perhaps a bit more honesty about what the customer is getting would be helpful.

Annual visit to Coverack but the first to the Paris to eat. We are trying, in a small way, to support these places now more than ever. If they go, they may never come back. A quirky pub with an interesting "maritime" connection. A working "pub" opposite a working fishing harbour in a beautiful village. Look it up ! Very efficient and friendly staff observing the current "rules". Good and tasty pub food - good selection and value for money. Not fine dining but so what. If you can get a table outside (and if the weather is good) then eat, drink and watch working Cornwall pass by you.

The Paris had a good range of beers, gin and cider which my party enjoyed. Food was OK, in that the burger felt like it was a fairly standard mass produced and while the mussels were lovely, plump and fresh - the white wine sauce lacked flavour and the bread was very ordinary.

Have visited this hotel before for lunch and dinner. This time it has a sense of being dirty - on both our visits this week we hae eaten outside. The tables have never been cleared. Food on the floor and dirty napkins everywhere. I asked one waitress if she could clear the table that had many dirty glasses and plates on which she did. However she seemed surprised I had asked and she must have seen the dirty glasses and crockery on the table as she passed by twice before I asked her. Puts me off I have to say as it makes me wonder what the kithen is like. Also a long wait for a sandwich and baked potato.

We have been to the Paris before for drinks and snacks but it’s always been busy in terms of getting a table. This year, especially with Covid I decided to be proactive and book ahead. I did this over Facebook and was told we were lucky to be getting their last available table in the bar on a busy Wednesday night. Unfortunately once our food order was taken and we were told that there were at least 3 other tables being served before us, we were there pretty much forgotten about. The round table in the corner in front of the bar was almost completely blocked from view by the socially distanced queue running out the pub door and around the corner. We felt pretty isolated and abandoned. The food was ok, my other half enjoyed the chowder but it wasn’t as good as I was expecting. It was pretty much the only night over our two week holiday that we ate out with our two small children and it put my off. I wasn’t aware of extra cleanliness measures being taken and would have liked a little more interaction to be honest. A nice pint outside admiring the view, maybe, good inside the pub, probably not.

This is a proper old-fashioned pub, with manners to match - in other words, it's not silver service, they won't bow and scrape, and you have to treat the staff like fellow adults. If your ego is so fragile that you have to pay people to call you Sir or Madam, you probably won't like it much, but grown-ups able to smile and have a chat will be rewarded with good Cornish beer, decent food and a cracking view from the pub garden, which is literally right next to the coastal path. If you're not too la-di-da, drop in.

We are a family of three who ate dinner on Tuesday. There was a dog under a table close by which was barking intermittently so I asked if we could be moved to another table. The landlord was unable to move us ( it was very busy) but he spoke to the owners who to their credit managed to keep the dog quiet from that point. Dinner was excellent, especially the chowder and also the mussels. Also the lemon cheesecake and pavlova were delicious. Ate here yesterday, such a shame they have such unprofessional miserable staff as the food as always was lovely. We were dining with my daughter and her puppy who due to lockdown is just venturing out to crowded environments so is still learning. He was barking a little at other dogs walking in which is to be expected but for the manager to shout across the bar for us to keep him quiet was incredibly unprofessional and left my daughter very embarrassed and upset. Ruined our whole meal and will not be returning. If you have a young dog I would eat at one of the many other excellent pubs/restaurants in the area as you will not be welcomed here.

The Landlord & his staff have all the correct procedures in place, all the staff were extremely helpful, there were sanitising stations set up, all the correct signage, a welcome notice in the foyer, all the tables were set out at the appropriate distance. We were advised there was a wait on food but guess what - we’re on holiday, glad to be in a safe environment, in a pretty village & had the most excellent three course dinner. I booked a table for 8pm and when we arrived the place was manic and not even following the covid guidelines: people were all queuing up close to each other, people were going up to the bar ordering and collecting drinks (isn’t this against covid rules). Tables were also close together meaning people were closer than 1 meter apart. Anyways, we went in and the table wasn’t ready and the staff said loads of people were waiting. So my boyfriend asked ‘How long is the wait’ and the man replied ‘How longs a piece of string’. If I was you I would give this pub a miss, it’s not worth it at all, with rude staff and poor customer service, doesn’t even deserve a 1 star rating. I’m never spending my money in that establishment.

AVOID! Horrendous experience please don't be fooled by the reviews online as we was. Booked a table for carvery at 12:30 as soon as carvery was due to start. Arrived early at around 12:20 and was seated. We was the first people to arrive in the restaurant. We got ourselves some drinks then watched on as slowly the restaurant filled up and everyone who arrived after us had their orders taken and their food served. After waiting around 30 mins we went to the bar and ordered the food ourselves as we clearly wasn't going to have our order taken. I was truly astonished when I watched a couple beside us have their order taken, their food brought to them and they had finished their food and were onto their dessert and we still hadn't even had any food lol! We went to the bar again to question why several tables had been served before us even though we was first to arrive! They promised to go to the kitchen and check. After 1 hour at 13:30 with ourselves and children really hungry and still no food we decided to leave. I never leave reviews for anything but this warrants a poor review as the experience was truly horrendous.

Arrived in Coverack after a hard days walking around the coast from The Lizard and our group chose the Paris Hotel for an evening meal. The dining area is expansive and enjoys lovely views out to sea on three sides. The meals were reasonably priced, as you'd expect with pub food, and all the options chosen were a delight with generous portions and something a bit different to other places. My three fish dish plus a prawn was a chance to sample a range of local seafood and the bread and butter pudding with custard, and some ice cream by request, was a nice way to round the evening off. When we first arrived the bar service was a bit chaotic otherwise this report would have the highest rating; the flip side is that Paris Hotel is evidently a popular local choice. The harbour picture was taken from nearby and not the actual outlook from the hotel.

Amazing breakfast which set us up for the day to enjoy long walks and fab food both at the Paris and elsewhere. The Sunday Lunch is amazing so can highly recommend - we always book for that if staying in a rented cottage! The room was clean with amazing views over the bay. Hospitality was spot on as usual and we can’t wait to come back in August to stay again with the kids!

Having had a reasonably sized lunch we all decided to have a children’s meal and three of us settled for the squid which when it arrived was beautifully cooked with various accompaniments. Great meal for 2 adults and 2 kids for under £35.

We called in at The paris yesterday on our way back home. A lot of pubs were closed at lunchtime in that area so it was a nice surprise to find them open. We only intended to have a snack but I discovered they did seafood chowder which was on the menu as fish soup. Very low key for what was the most delicious chowder I've ever had. Packed with creamy delicious flavours and full of fresh fish and seafood. One of the best dishes I've had in recent times. I'm not an ardent reviewer but it was so good I thought it was only fair to congratulate the chef. Please leave it on the menu it's fab.

Visited here for food and drinks a few times over the past week. Food up to its normal high standards and beers pretty good too. A really lovely atmosphere in the pub that feels that it really is right at the centre of community life in this gorgeous village. We’ll definitely be back!

Food was basic, was staying in Coverack for a week, ate there once, wouldn’t again. It lacked atmosphere and wasn’t that friendly. I would rather cook for myself.

We stopped off in Coverack hoping to get some lunch. We chose the Paris Hotel as it had outdoor seating overlooking the water. I was really keen to have a fresh crab sandwich and the menu here did not disappoint. The sandwich was huge, packed with sweet brown and white crab meat and a nicely dressed salad - perfect. My wife had a ham and mustard sandwich which was again packed with freshly sliced home cooked ham, great whole grain mustard served on the side and salad.

We come here when in the area. It does a great Sunday carvery. The locals and tourists both use it so it's a nice mix of people. There is a buzz to it. On occasions it gets very busy then the service can be slow.

The Paris is in a beautiful setting overlooking the harbour, lovely for a beer in the garden watching the sunset over the harbour.

Really enjoyed our visits to the Paris - it's a pub where tourists and locals mix, good food, great choice of drink and dog friendly. If you looking for a really modern styled bar then this is not for you, bit try it if what you want is comfort, friendly chat and good food and drink.

Called in for a light lunch and chose the bouillabaisse. Sadly very disappointing, it tasted like a warmed up tin of chopped tomatoes into which a large prawn, two mussels and some knobbly calamari had been thrown. One piece of commercial sliced granary bread and butter to accompany. I think we chose badly as meals on other tables looked quite good.

We've been coming for years, the welcome is always friendly, good pub food, and excellent crab sandwiches. This time however I needed to work, they found me a quiet table out of the way, I did the work, a couple of cups of tea and a sticky toffee pudding, essential for work, later I could relax. So I didn't spend much, but when my wife, family and inlaws arrived, we spent a reasonable amount, as we will for the rest of the holiday. Unlike other places i could mention.....

We spent a great weeks holiday in Coverack last month with another family of 4 in the excellent Cliffside Cottage in the lovely village of Coverack. (4th time in about 7 years)And The Paris as ever was an excellent local for the week and it serves great Cornish ales, lots of different gins and on quiz night we had a fantastic 2 course meal... the seafood chowder is amazing. The pub always has a good atmos, friendly locals and holiday makers and great staff, especially Evie.. The beer garden is excellent too, great views of Coverack Bay and a secluded bay on the other side.. you can also take your drinks and sit on the harbour wall.. Can't fault the place..

Lovely place - always seems very busy with locals and visitors.Very dog friendly and child friendly.Has a pool table in the middle of the room - which is pulled to one side for Sunday lunch service (served off it!). Sunday lunch was excellent, although I don't think the Yorkshire puddings were home made - a great choice of three meats - pork, beef or gammon and delicious roast potatoes with a selection of roast parsnips, creamed leeks, carrots, peas etc.We ate there two more times - one of them was excellent with slow cooked beef and a massaman curry - the other was just burgers and although the burger itself was nice, the chips were undercooked and the whole presentation including the bun etc were a bit lacking - and £1.10 for three frozen battered onion rings - they could at least be home made if charging £1.10!Great selection of beers and a couple of ciders.Staff are very happy and smiley (except the Landlord).

Very friendly warm relaxed service in the Paris hotel in the heart of the village. They served me a boullabaise main after time, which was much appreciated. It was flavoursome but had very little fish content; I wondered if this was due to the fact that lunchtime had really finished and they had really run out? We had an enjoyable visit, the location looking over the sea can't be beaten. Oh and it's so much more relaxing now that the height of the Summer season is over.

I placed an order online with the intention of these being a present. I placed the order and chose the date for delivery. The recipient waited in all day and no delivery. I have tried calling the land-line and mobile numbers associated to this business but no one has answered. I have also sent an email as well as a message Facebook messenger but they have gone unanswered too. Poor service considering the price they charge.

Fabulous food and great service, will definitely go again when visiting Penzance. Have wanted to go for a couple of years but never made it, well worth the wait and more than met our expectations.

Wow are we glad we found this little gem ⭐️ We were looking for Crepes & spotted the little sign & were pleasantly surprised by the quality of dishes served 😀 We saw a family having amazing waffles & ice cream with caramel biscoff, another the pancake maple bacon stack and we choose one savoury garlic mushrooms 🍄 & one lemon n sugar which were delicious 😋 and complimented with a great size cup if tea 🍵 Worth sitting inside for on a sunny day as not much outside seating. Very friendly server, good value & hoping to get there again before we leave Thankyou 🥰

Had seen the restaurant advertised as 3 AA rosette but have since found out that is under review due to change of chef. Restaurant was dimly lit with nearby table resorting to using torch on his phone to read menu. Had the scallops which were average and small . Pork was okay as main course but not a large portion. Cheeseboard was average. Was expecting more from what was a listed restaurant.
