Amazing room to eat in and service was excellent . That’s where the good ends . Food very under whelming . Mackerel starter very small and just ok . Ham hock good size and decent quality . Mains of bass , mashed potato tasted like shop bought and very firm . Pork chop a bit tough and needed a steak knife to cut . Desserts very very poor. Banana cake clearly microwaved as chewy and hard on the edges and the cherry parfait still frozen . Would not have a main meal here again .

We wanted to try the Imperial Hotel again as we got married here many years ago and haven’t really been back for some time. The restaurant is huge and it was fairly empty however the staff were lovely and we enjoyed our evening. My husband had the fish and I had the slow cooked beef. I then had the blueberry choux . The decor has seen better days and it could do with updating but the staff were great and the food was lovely.

We both had an amazing experience. We booked the Palm Court for our wedding meal as we had got married earlier in the day and booked the restaurant to celebrate and can honestly say it's some of the best food we have ever eaten. I am gluten free and only eat fish. The stone bass was perfection and the mash just heavenly. The staff were all amazing especially Ron who went out his way to make sure we had a memorable experience. I honestly cannot understand why the restaurant was not packed out-it truly was amazingly good food, in beautiful surroundings with friendly lovely staff and we will definitely be doing back.

We did not stay at the hotel, but booked a festive afternoon tea at The Imperial Hotel in Blackpool. We booked online on the morning, and apparently the app they use for booking shouldn't have accepted our booking, as there is a 12 noon cut-off point. However, the app accepted our booking at 13:10 for a 14:00 sitting, and the hotel still honoured our booking. The festive afternoon tea experience itself was excellent, so was the server Chris, who met us in Reception and walked us to our table, which was right by the window and overlooking the seafront. He talked us through the menu which consisted of sandwiches, little nibbles (including a hot soup), scones, a selection of sweet treats, and a pot of tea, and then another of coffee. We also had a cracker and a hat each. The food itself was first class. Chris had already offered to box up what we couldn't eat so we could take it away with us, but it was so delicious we finished the lot off! After the meal Chris saw us looking at some of the photos of previous hotel guests displayed on the wall, he then talked us through all of the photos, and added interesting facts along the way about royalty, politicians, and entertainers who had stayed there. Overall a fantastic experience. See photos of the menu and food.

Booked as non-residents, the Palm Court restaurant is located in the Imperial Hotel. Don’t expect an intimate restaurant setting, it is the restaurant’s main dining hall with loads of tables in a very large room. The staff were lovely as was the service. The food however just needs a bit more love. The triple cooked chips were possibly ‘single’ cooked, not at all crispy on the outside nor fluffy in the centre and tasted as if they had sat around waiting to be ordered. Fortunately there were only 6 per person! The main course was very forgettable. Dessert was much better. A decent wine selection. Overall it was an underwhelming experience from a well thought of hotel in Blackpool.

Whilst staying at the Imperial Hotel, my wife and I took afternoon tea in the Palm Court Restaurant and it was superb. There was a wide selection of both savoury and sweet dishes and the portions were generous. Our waiter, Brian looked after us superbly; thank you, Brian. If you stay at the Imperial Hotel, or anywhere else in Blackpool for that matter, afternoon tea at the Imperial is a must.

Outstanding food and outstanding service from the waiting on servers. They made you feel very welcome and part of the family and thats what you want when you are on holiday. We had a different set menu every night and it offered you a range of choice. The actually restaurant is very grand and keeps to the style of the hotel i don't think anything looks like its change since the late 1800's what i can see from photo's i've looked at. Just beautiful atmosphere and you can see that the staff are very proud to work in such a historic hotel i know i would be if i worked there.

Stayed in the hotel for 5 nights ate here every night as was part of the package. Choice was great food was always fresh and hot, options for vegetarians and vegans was good. The real selling point of the palm court is the staff they are friendly and chatty, they are knowledgeable about the choices and menu travelling with a vegetarian who has some allergies and intolerance to certain food nothing was too much trouble to find an alternative she could eat.

The breakfast is well worth the money. We ate dinner here too and both times the food was gorgeous.

We visited The Imperial Hotel today for the Historical Tour of the building and this was part of an Afternoon Tea deal in the Palm Court Restaurant. The menu included a small espresso cup of soup, miniature sausage rolls, cheese tarts, sandwiches, scones and an assortment of cakes which were very well presented and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The tour was fantastic and we learned so much about the hotel and it's many famous visitors as well as having the opportunity to see the incredible relief ceiling in the ballroom and the amazing Turkish Bath renovations and restorations in the basement. A really great afternoon and extremely modestly priced. If you get the opportunity don't hesitate, just book it!

My mom, daughter and myself had lunch at this restaurant today. It was a 4 course carvery. First we had parsnip soup with warm bread rolls followed by continental meats, pate' and salad. Next we had either roast gammon or beef or a chicken done in a sauce or as we chose the fish in a prawn sauce. The vegetables consisted of roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, broccoli and fennel. Two gravies and Yorkshire puddings. To end there was a choice of 4 desserts. We asked for alcohol free wine which they got for us without a problem. The waiting on staff were brilliant, friendly and professional. We will definitely eat here again.

The hotel its self is in a great position and like a trip into the past when you enter the Lobby. Very grand and beautiful..excellent staff at check in and good choice at breakfast however you have to time it right or you may have to queue (go before 9am ) number 10 bar a great place to relax and full of nostalgia and reasonably priced too. Pool, sauna and steam room were very welcoming after long walks along the promenade. Nothing seemed too much trouble for staff all very polite and professional. It does not give me great pleasure to do this, as I am not normally one to complain, however my stay at the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool was arguably the worst stay in a hotel that I have ever had.I was staying at the hotel for my works Christmas Party, and paid £70 to stay the evening in “a Victorian four star hotel”. There was absolutely nothing about my stay that was four star. If I was to rate my stay between 1 and 5 stars, at a push, it might get a 2. And none of that rating would come from the quality of the room that we were staying in. We were allocated room number 143, and from the moment my partner and I stepped in the room I knew I was going to have issues. The whole room was stone cold! Maybe this stems from the awful single glazed windows surrounded by cracked paint and damp…who knows. When getting ready for our party I thought that a shower would be a good way to warm up, however, the shower didn’t know whether it was hot or cold. The constantly fluctuating temperatures meant that a shower was not a pleasurable experience. After a wonderful evening at our works party, we thought nothing could dampen our spirits – we had clearly forgotten about the condition of our room. Again, the room was stone cold, and even getting in bed and under the covers could not warm us up. At that stage all we wanted to do was sleep…that might have made the stay bearable, but due to the location of the room above the service entrance (which makes noise constantly) and the creaking of the floorboards in the room above (slightly out of your control) I would be surprised if we got 20 minutes. Needless to say, at 7.30am, we’d had enough and wanted to get out of the hotel and back home as soon as we possibly could. Now for the final nail in the coffin! Upon checking out, I was going to vent my frustrations in a polite manner by discussing my issues with one of your reception staff. It is my opinion that it is common courtesy that upon checking out of a hotel that you are asked “how was your stay?” or at least “we hope you enjoyed your stay” but quite clearly your staff either didn’t care whether we had a good stay, or knew that we didn’t by the bags under our eyes and the look of thunder on our faces.I have asked the hotel for a full refund and was instead offered afternoon tea. i will be escalating my complaint and speaking to head office.I will never stay at this hotel again and would strongly advise anyone looking in to staying here to stay well clear.

Stayed here for 1 night for work. Lovely reception area and staff were very friendly. Room was a decent size with a very nice bed, lovely fluffy towels. Had dinner in the palm court restaurant, I had slow cooked beef, doesn't come with veg so had to order extra veg which was very nice. Went out to see the lights then came back in about 11.30. Went to the bar for a drink about 12.30am and was told to take it to our room or drink it in the lounge area. We went back to the room. Later on we went back and the bar man was really rude, he said in an aggressive manner ' what did I tell you before, keep out of here and order at reception, we're trying to mop the floor' !He hadn't said anything to us earlier. Had. Good nights sleep, room was warm. Went for breakfast, it was 8.30 and very busy, only waited a few mins for a table and then it was help yourself. Breakfast was plentiful, hot and lots to choose from. There were kids every where running about helping themselves to everything on the breakfast tables. I know it's half term and the lights are on, but still annoying. Would stay here again but it's definitely NOT a 4 star

I enjoyed a couple of nights in B'pool to have a bit of R & R with my sister. Old victorian style, chandeliers, etc, though lacking it's lustre slightly. Shame. However, clean, efficient and a decent breakfast. Though timing for Breakie is important as it's very small dining room for size of Hotel. It's ideally situated to see the lights as there's a Tram stop directly outside. One can get on/off and ride hotel to pleasure beach all day for day ticket of 4.20. We enjoyed a great day on Funfair/pleasure beach and returned to relaxing swim in pool, before heading out again. Discovered that Spa area is separately owned and has just had go ahead for new facilities, including upgrade of hot-tub to proper new 8+ whirlpool - yeah girls! Local people can use the Spa facilities part of time, so great that getting upgrade for them too, as met some whilst I was there day we were leaving, go girls!!!! Would stay again as staff lovely. This is not a four star hotel, three at a push. The lobby area was nice, but the room look like it had be decorated and finished by an apprentice. Upon our arrival we where told our room was ready for us, when we went to our room and opened the door there was an older man still in the bed. We were given anther room straight away though. There needs to be a lot of money spent on this building to bring up to a four star rating in my opinion. The breakfast was tasty, but we did have a little wait to get seated. Try to avoid 9:15/ 10:00, and avoid buying a cup of tea priced at £3 each. Would stay again for a short break, but would have to be at a quarter of the price to do so

We decided to stay here just for a night after reading the reviews. We had a standard room plus dinner bed and breakfast. Although the rooms are a but dated with the bathroom tiles showing the first signs of mould, the room was clean, windows very dirty but again that's probably due to sea impact ( although the grander rooms where all clean). The food was tasteful on the evening although very small portions. The breakfast was like a cattle market and we was shown to a table that wasn't fully prepared with spoons napkins missing and an empty milk jug. I'm not sure f I would stop again, Blackpool is notorious for poor bed & breakfast and we chose the imperial because if that reason. Stayed here for the bank holiday weekend and was a bit disappointed with this hotel. Me and my husband decided to go to Blackpool for a 2-day break and I thought I'd book a 4 star hotel with pool and spa facilities. Arrived in the hotel after driving for 6 hours and was checked in by a receptionist who couldn't even crack a smile. Never mind about feeling welcome in the hotel , we went to our room and the size is no bigger than a cupboard. The windows are dirty and could do with a bit of cleaning. The shower is either hot or cold when you adjust it . There were leak stains on the ceiling in the bathroom, we didn't even bother to try the pool and spa facilities as it just all went downhill from here. We paid £100 a night for this booking and maybe we were just expecting a bit more. I'd say better off staying in a deluxe/sea view room in nearby guesthouse/bed&breakfast accommodations and pay the same amount of money or maybe even cheaper. It didn't stop us from enjoying our weekend in Blackpool though . We headed out for a Karaoke night after and just make the most out of the weekend!

This hotel, along with Blackpool, has seen better days but for me its a historically important beautiful building that is trying to survive a holiday market it was never built for. If you do not want to mix with a large element of Blackpools 'kiss me quick' over weight and tattooed football supporter types with kids you may not enjoy Blackpool anyway, never mind this hotel. If you however you come to Blackpool with some realistic down to earth expectations come and stay at The Imperial. The staff are mostly all lovely and helpful. Full marks to Jay (reception) and Alberto (waiter) and the young star chef who produces the excellent value dinner menu. Even come for dinner, its excellent value. Real star was duty manager at breakfast and later in reception(no name badge). Great choice at breakfast, beats most B & B's hands downFor B & B prices you can come and stay at a hotel built for royalty and prime ministers, dont miss the opportunityAvoid 3rd floor = noisyGood deals on Amazon localThe downsidesThe cups in the dining room were unacceptably stained(even the replacements)Cannot someone paint a window without getting paint all over the metal bar(dining room bay window on northern side)-so sloppy. This same sloppiness was visible in our room too around the bath. Toilet seat needed replacement and no spare toilet roll in room. The peculiar smell in male toilet by downstairs bar is unacceptable (toilets very good). I mentioned this to a member of the bar staff and he just ignored me and walked out! This hotel needs support it would be criminal if it ever closed so come and stay at The Imperial------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------My reviews are based upon my experience both socially and professionally and should be read along with other comments I have made about other establishments as well as considering all other reviewers comments. My objective is to make a fair comment on the experience I received but my expectations may be vastly different from others, I try to be fair. I believe that managers/owners who do not respond to TA comments have little interest in customers expectations or experiences. Retail is detail, even in service industries. Its the little things that can make a big difference!

Went on business - was told it was the 'best' place to stay whilst in Blackpool - well if this is the best, then who knows what then others must be like - Blackpool seems to have lost it's soul sadly....Signing in was OK and first impressions downstairs are good - I was then told where my room was on the third floor towards the back (therefore no sea view) - upon entering, I was hit my what felt like a tropical jungle heat - very hot & humid....the reason? Cleaning staff had somehow left the hot tap of the bath running full blast and pouring out very not water...had probably been running for hours!! I then smelled nicotine (even though smoking is not allowed in the rooms) - as I opened the window I saw ten cigarette butts! The room had zero view and was old....very disappointing. My colleagues arrived a couple of hours later - I met them at the check-in desk in the lobby - there was a lady behind the desk on the phone yapping away selling rooms to what was probably a tour operator - even though she was the only one behind the desk and they were standing directly in front of her, not once did she acknowledge them in the slightest - I then spotted the chap who had checked me in pushing some sort of food trolley and he spotted them from a few feet away and obviously had other things to do and went about his business - he only returned after five minutes and was obviously surprised to see then still standing there so this time decided to come and check them in - if I were the manager of the lady on the phone she would have been fired on the spot!!As for my complaining about the room, tap & cigarette butts - nada! No apologies and nobody sent up to clean the mess...the staff are clearly incompetent with no service ethics and the hotel is old & tired. Breakfast was probably the only half decent thing about my stay.

The meal was part of the NWCFL end of season awards night. Nobody had a choice it was just a chicken and black pudding terrine, beef roast dinner and banoffee pie, like it or leave it. It was adequate, that's the best I can say.

We arrived on 30th December for our two night new year break. Dinner in the Palm Court was an extremely enjoyable affair. Cold buffet starter, lots of choice followed by a carvery dinner and choice of dessert, enjoyed with a glass of Zinfandel. The staff, as always were extremely helpful without being "in your face" and very friendly. A lovely conversation with Chris the head waiter. Breakfast in the same restaurant never disappoints. You can't go wrong with the Palm Court.

Went to the George Formby convention which was well attended and provided some wonderful entertainment. The bar area is comfortable and does cover sports on TV but the food and drinks are a little expensive, but it may be the nicest hotel in Blackpool.

Booked for 2 nights for my sons 5th birthday during half term. I booked through superbreaks and got a discounted deal but if I had paid full price id have asked for my money back! The rooms are dated and a bit dirty, the curtains looked filthy and by the bed head was fluff and hair from all other guests. Nasty. (See pics) the radiator was broken so for 2 nights we slept in a sauna and the telephone didnt work to notify reception.Give me a premier inn anyday. Full of older guests hence the dated look but this is more like a 2/3* the room was large and so was the bathroom. Reception looks impressive. Didnt try the breakfast as the room seemed dirty I didnt want to try the food.

My wife and I stayed here for a friend's wedding being held in the hotel. We booked our room several months in advance and played in full up front. We weren't there on any deal or voucher off, yet the hotel managed to give us a very tired and tiny room at the back of the hotel. The bath room was so small that you could not fully open the door and the toilet was sandwiched between the bath and a wall with an inch gap on each side. The loo roll was mounted high up the wall behind - I suspect that the room may have been intended for visiting escapologists from Blackpool circus! I couldn't be bothered complaining as we were rushing for the wedding. Would I stay there again? No - there must be better value hotels in the town that have full size double rooms.

Generally the food is excellent (except for the soup unfortunately which always seems to taste the same despite the colour!), The service is good and any off-menu requests are usually provided with a smile. I once knocked over a whole jug of iced water and the waitress quickly cleared the mess with a smile

I visited the restaurant as part of a dinner, bed and breakfast as a solo female visitor. I was made to wait ten mins upon arrival before being seated and then ignored by waiters for a further 15 mins. Waiters disappeared into the kitchen not to be seen. When finally someone arrived and asked if I needed a menu I hoped for a speedier service. Another 10 mins passed. A waiter arrived with a bread basket asking if I would like a roll. I asked for a brown one and was told 'oh good, I've been trying to get rid of that one all day'. Service after that point was slow and disorganised. The main dish was very salty but there was nobody present to complain to. Upon leaving I mentioned it to be told that it was how it should be. I said I had drunk a whole jug of water due to the salt level but received no interest and was just dismissed. Very poor service.Breakfast was better but it was self service with more attentive and different staff.Puma hotels, if you read this please sort out the evening service and food quality. Teach your young male waiter ways to speak to customers and basically up the ante a bit. Disappointing.

We booked a cheap room here and were given the option if adding on afternoon tea cheaper than normal. All I can say us COR! Choice of sandwiches, an eclair, a cupcake, a slice of choc orange cake and a cream scone. Friendly waitress. Tea too strong but maybe I picked the wrong type. One of best Afternoon Teas I've had.

I recently had the pleasure of hiring Kwizeen for our wedding, and I cannot express enough how incredible their service was. From start to finish, Marco and Tony, along with their fantastic team, made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. The food was nothing short of amazing. I had guests coming up to me all day, raving about how delicious everything tasted. It’s almost unbelievable how they managed to create such flavorful dishes while cooking in a garage. Every bite was a testament to their culinary expertise and passion for great food. Marco and Tony were phenomenal in the lead-up to the event. They were responsive, accommodating, and provided excellent suggestions that really elevated the event. On the day of the event, they and their staff were professional, friendly, and attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Kwizeen also provided the marquees, which were beautifully set up. We had one marquee for the tables, another for the dance floor, and a third for the bar. Each one was elegantly arranged and contributed to the perfect ambiance for our celebration. Overall, I highly recommend Kwizeen for any wedding event or other catering needs. Their exceptional food, outstanding service, and attention to detail made our event truly memorable. Thank you, Kwizeen, for an unforgettable experience!
