Kwizeen Restaurant in Blackpool

I recently had the pleasure of hiring Kwizeen for our wedding, and I cannot express enough how incredible their service was. From start to finish, Marco and Tony, along with their fantastic team, made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. The food was nothing short of amazing. I had guests coming up to me all day, raving about how delicious everything tasted. It’s almost unbelievable how they managed to create such flavorful dishes while cooking in a garage. Every bite was a testament to their culinary expertise and passion for great food. Marco and Tony were phenomenal in the lead-up to the event. They were responsive, accommodating, and provided excellent suggestions that really elevated the event. On the day of the event, they and their staff were professional, friendly, and attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Kwizeen also provided the marquees, which were beautifully set up. We had one marquee for the tables, another for the dance floor, and a third for the bar. Each one was elegantly arranged and contributed to the perfect ambiance for our celebration. Overall, I highly recommend Kwizeen for any wedding event or other catering needs. Their exceptional food, outstanding service, and attention to detail made our event truly memorable. Most reviews don't see the food prep, delivery & set up. If you attended an event in Poulton on 27th April with party food supplied by Kwizeen and it tasted funny, heres why. Their employees arrived so dirty they were mistaken for mechanics. Food delivered and set up by men with with lit cigarette in mouth puffing over the trays of food that were carried in hands blacked with dirt, no gloves.Their potty mouths were almost as filthy as their nails and finished off with self entitled attitudes and were rude and intimidating towards other people at a shared venue and negative comments were made about Kwizeens lack of professionalism.

Used Kwizeen for our wedding absolutely 💯 first class food throughout the day. We had canapés, wedding meal and dessert then evening supper and desserts. The menu was superb and absolutely everything was delicious. We had so many complimentary comments on the day. In addition the staff are incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to make sure that we all enjoyed the day. Would definitely recommend and my only regret is I can't do it all again!

We cannot thank Marco and Tony enough for their enthusiasm and professionalism on our wedding day. From our initial conversations through to our lovely tasting we had every confidence in the team and their suggestions guiding the smooth running of our day. Kwizeen provided canapés for an outside champagne and canapés reception for our daughter’s wedding. The menu choices were superb and the staff who served very pleasant. Also impressed with their service and how immaculately clean they left the kitchen and venue. Marco has a familiar and laid back style and was easy to deal with. Have no hesitation in recommending and would definitely be first choice again!

tried to find a curry house after visiting a friend in hospital & we were recommended via a local cab firm. They weren't busy at the time we went due to a big boxing match being on across the road in the pub! great starters in both size & quality. the mains were great too and we struggled to finish all of our dishes reasonably priced curry

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. We had the 'Valentines" special menu. Four courses. Fifteen dishes overall. Faultless. The range of flavours was marvellous. I recommend this restaurant 100%. My wife and I visited on Valentine’s Day, we had the set menu, everything was superb, a real variety of dishes cooked to perfection. Staff were really efficient and attentive. We will be visiting again soon. Many thanks.

Chocolate and grand mariner mousse with double chocolate ice cream and strawberry pavlova with vanilla bean ice cream and popping candy for dessert. Washed down with a very nice white wine. They make everything in house from the bread to the ice cream. It’s all really delicious!!! It’s been open over 30 years so they must be doing something right 😀

Xmas day meal at kwizzeen was fantastic. It was a very special meal from start to finish . Marco is a perfectionist . Everything was exceptional . From the canapés. Starter of the best homemade soup which my husband had. My choice was the pate. Both were of the best quality . It was then prawn cocktail which was presented very well +tasted superb . Followed by a awesome turkey dinner. But was of the best quality ingredients + as I said Marco had cooked it to perfection once again. Although nearly bursting to the seams I had the fresh fruit pavlova. +My husband had Xmas pudding with brandy sauce . Followed by tasty handmade mince pies which melted in your mouth . What a finish To a superb meal. It puts faith back into eating out +being disappointed . This was our first Xmas dinner out after many years of slaving over the cooker +entertaining . But now this won't be our last at kwizzeen . Thankyou Marco +all your staff who made such a special day. X

Great food, staff are lovely and polite. It was quiet when we went so had the place to ourselves but it was worth the money.

A wonderful little restaurant in Blackpool with amazing food. This restaurant shows there is more to Blackpool's food scene than fish and chips and kebabs. The staff were extremely attentive and welcoming, the chef even came out to check on our meal which was a lovely touch. Complimentary appetisers and bread was a nice treat. Reasonable prices considering the quality of the food. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is willing to tread off the promenade for a lovely meal with great food and customer service. Phone up in advance as their opening times can vary dependent on event bookings.

First time my partner and I dined here and it was absolutely amazing, the food was delicious, the service was spot on and a great drink selection too, cannot recommend enough, a diamond in the rough.

Visited here last night for tapas and wine for a friends birthday , food was excellent , very tasty , service was great I’m presuming it was the owner serving us , and him and the chef were great , booked for Xmas day can’t wait 😊

I have never thought about hiring an outside caterer , now I wouldn't think twice about hiring one ! Kwizeen made my sons 21st Birthday complete , we hired one of their bars which became a talking point , the barbeque was outstanding, catering for all, including vegetarians and vegans I have uploaded photos on this site to give you a true understanding of the quality and quantity of the food they produce , a true culinary delight

I cannot fault anything in our visit to Kwizeen. The food was delicious with lovely touches like the warm mini tomato bread rolls. Everything was hot, tasty and beautifully presented. Thank you.

Went after a long absence and did not know if it would be as good as we remember. Very good, great selection of food and good sized portions. Warm tomato loaf to start which was amazing. Great flavours and choice including a specials board. Lovely staff and no pretentious waffle, just nice flavours, Duck sauce was fabulous. Only downside, a bit quiet for a Saturday night which means more of us have to go more regularly. Reasonably priced for both food and wine.

I have been visiting this restaurant for some years now and I continue to be delighted with the quality of the cuisine. Marco is a true professional creating outstanding and delicious meals. Whilst, the front of house is overseen by Tony who directs operations with consumate ease and ensures that the customers every needs are met. There is no better restaurant in Blackpool.

One of my favourite restaurant i have came here for years.when i moved away and come back to visit i always make sure i visit and the owner's are great guys they always make sure they go above and beyond for their customers.

Always shut caters more for weddings

Bunch of girls eat out once every 2 months. We travel near and far and have tried almost every local restaurant. Some wonderful cullinary experiences. Kwizeen ranks very highly. Up there with the best of them. We have been before but always go back to our favourites. Time for a return trip this month and we weren't disappointed. Excellent service, Michelin star food presented so beautifully, wonderful ambiance. We all thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was taken here for lunch a few days ago. What a hidden gem. For the price I wasn’t expecting anything out of the ordinary, but I was wrong. The presentation of the food is beautiful, the taste is great, the service warm and friendly. When my main course arrived I said to my partner that we are definitely coming back here again - and I hadn’t even tasted it! What a change from the bland, standardised, unimaginative offerings that most places serve up these days. We are definitely returning in the very near future.

An excellent range of styles and tastes in this four course menu. Thoroughly enjoyable and such good value. 16 individual menu items, all beautifully prepared,presented and served. Would certainly visit this restaurant again when we are next in Blackpool.

Love this place. Coming back every time I'm in Blackpool. Fantastic service, delicious food and always being treated with special care. It's a small place, but that gives the special atmosphere and when you get your food served it just warms the heart as it's always super delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommended. By far my favorite place to eat in Blackpool.

The restaurant was quiet when we visited (it was a Monday in early February) but there was still a good atmosphere.

Excellent food, great value and the team were very friendly and hospitable. Tapas for £10, couldn't fault and included a glass of wine. We will return!

I have been coming to this local landmark for more years than I care to think about and in all that time I have never been disappointed. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by Tony who treats you more as a dear friend than a customer.

Poor lunch, bread hard served with pate and on the table mini loafs were stale and greasy x no ambience in the restaurant , turkey very fatty, watery gravy, sprouts good x

Visited this evening for the Tapas Tuesday which is on throughout December on a Tuesday, funnily enough! There's 7 different tapas plus a glass of wine for just £10! It was all beautifully cooked & presented & tasted exquisite. Unbelievable value for money. The staff are a delight too which makes a difference to ones overall experience. Their lunch and dinner menu which changes often is well worth a visit for.

We have been going to Kwizeen for many years, and although we live in France, we make a point of eating here every time we come back. I can’t praise the food highly enough. Every mouthful, from the eggs benedict starter to the fantastic sticky toffee pudding was heavenly. The wines that Tony recommended were perfect and the whole experience, as usual, was a delight. The bill was less than we anticipated and I urge you to go and try it!

We are regular diners here as it is by far the best restaurant in Blackpool. Just been for the Tuesday Tapas night and once again we left more than satisfied with quality and price . There is no other restaurant in Blackpool that can match Kwizeen for the high standards of food that Marco produces and the service from Tony always makes it a pleasure to dine here .

We stumbled across this restaurant looking for gluten free options for one of our party and what a fabulous find! The menu is not massive but what is on offer is fantastic food with a twist, I had the duck spring rolls for starters and they were awesome. Chilli and seaweed added for that extra special something, My sister-in-law had the mushrooms and she raved about them but didn't share!! Everyone enjoyed their mains the chicken roulade worth a special mention. Desert - what can I say I thought I had died and gone to heaven the sticky toffee pudding was amazing but I had to share with 3 others and they kindly gave an extra large portion. The owners were attentive but not intrusive. We were a party of 11 and the meals all came out on time. Nothing is perfect but this wasn't far off! We will be back;)

A hidden gem bang in the centre of Blackpool town centre. Truly stunning food. The chef gave us a selection of starters and every one was delicious with the cous cous particularly moreish and I’m not normally a fan. For the main course Lancashire cheese pie and bubble and squeak was heavenly. I didn’t need the chunky chips but I can’t resist them. Too stuffed to have a dessert but took a photo of mother’s meringue.

Went with friend for a birthday meal not knowing where we were going. Looked on line found this restaurant and booked a table .The reception was a warm welcome only to be followed by some great food and service.

What an amazing Las Vegas themed 50th birthday party last night. A house party on a different level! Literally as the house was split level with so much happening on each one. Kwizeen did the whole thing and to absolutely perfection. Catering (outstanding, absolutely seamless, working on site from the garage area from a gazebo), photography, DJ (amazing, the guy was genius and the music fantastic all night long, dance floor full) portable bar (with magic alcohol that never ran out) roulette table, and the mood lighting. You could have been in the trendiest bar in London. The finger food never stopped coming, piping hot too (apart from the yummy desserts which included delightful mini ice cream cones !). The kwizeen team were phenomenal. Every credit to you. I would have a party just to have you guys cater and I might just do that.

Stunningly good food and really excellent service; true professionals who are used to providing an incredibly high class service in their outside catering business. This is a hidden gem - don't be put off by the quiet back-street location. We were almost put off because of the gimmicky name, in fact until we arrived we didn't realise it was a play on "cuisine"... written down it looks like a kebab shop when scanning through listings. I suspect they're losing a lot of business from this alone.

Went for a pre-theatre meal. Just round the corner from Winter Gardens. Standard of decor, service, food and price was exceptional. Can’t believe this restaurant isn’t more well known. Will definitely be coming back.

Early evening Bistro menu meal that was absolutely excellent. I started with the hot pot a meal in itself my husband had Lancashire rarebit field mushroom in an incredible sauce. We followed with a freshly made steak pie and a filet steak with all the trimmings. I was able to force down a chocolate marquis (incredible)

Surprisingly good place, really enjoyed it

A surprise visit from my son led to an unscheduled night out. We checked out Kwizeen as we had been before and it was excellent. Fortunately they had a table and as we were early we had the early bird menu. Whilst reviewing our menu the staff very kindly brought out mini tasters of fish and chips. Brilliant and full of flavour.

Found Kwizeen after searching best restaurants in Blackpool. We were visiting and wanted a pre concert dinner. We had booked a table and from the minute we arrived we knew we had made the right choice . The Menu was fantastic with a great choice of freshly produced locally sourced options . Whilst looking at the menu the chef appeared with a taster portion of fish and chips followed by warm breads , 2 small individual loaves a black treacle and a sundried tomato and Parmesan. They were delicious. We chose the lamb rump and the hake linguine which again were beautifully presented and tasted amazing . We then shared a salted caramel cheesecake which perfectly finished off our meal . The service was fantastic and I can not recommend Kwizeen highly enough. Definitely worth visiting Blackpool for.

Really good food and staff where fantastic

With what now seems a bi-annual visit here ... I'm always impressed with at least one new aspect every time I visit. Not in an area you would expect, this restaurant's food would be at home in any 5* Hotel.

Arranged for my dance group to have Christmas lunch in Kwizeen today and it was the best we’d had in many a long year. With 25 of us present, the tables were beautifully laid out with Christmas goodies and the room was soon buzzing with the chatter of hungry diners. The choices on the menu were imaginative and varied, with a pleasing mixture of traditional fare and some more unexpected choices, e.g. duck wontons, hake fillet and fruit pavlova. The staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient and provided us with a most pleasurable afternoon. Well done, Kwizeen!

Blackpool was heaving tonight but our visit to Kwizeen was tranquil and unhurried. We are a group of 10 friends who love dancing at the Tower but we have struggled to find a nice place to eat early evening. A warm welcome on arrival was soon complemented by a surprise amuse bouche of 'fish and chips', and heavenly mini bread loaf rolls. Starters arrived promptly and included duck wan ton, garlic mushrooms and bruschetta all of which got rave reviews.

Very rude staff I rung up to see what time they close and staff was extremely rude and very unprofessional I'm glad I rung up before eating in place where they treat you like rubbish

Due to the Dancing Championships being held at Blackpool, for the last 3-4 years we have been enjoying the hospitality and the very well prepared food every year. This year is no exception we have our table booked.

I wouldn't recommend Kwizeen to anyone, I was so offended by the manager. I didn't judge their scruffy sign, or their unsophisticated name, but they judged me. I avoided all chain restaurants en-route to find a well reviewed indie and enjoy a pre-gig dinner with my daughter. It was dead, but despite this I trusted the reviews, I value small businesses and also good food. However as the drinks arrived I was asked to remove my hat. I thought this was hilarious at first, but the manager was serious, so of course we left embarrassed and a little offended. Oh my, the irony, to then find out that Pizza Express has a 45minute wait, Bella Italia had queues out of the door. Yet despite Kwizeen being quiet - a 37 year old father (who coincidentally works in fashion - oops - I'm not as cool as I thought) and his daughter were made to feel uncomfortable on a Monday at 6pm. Just like many other archaic institutions as have had to evolve over the years, I would love Kwizeen to and equally learn that caps, jeans, trainers, shorts, sunglasses, JoJo bows, burqas, tattoos, french berets, cowboy hats, men in skirts, ladies in trousers - you name it, do not reflect badly on a person, and if anything it's the 'house rules’ that say more about a person or an establishment. It's a misguided view. I hope David Beckham or even good old Prince Harry don't visit Kwizeen sometime soon, because like me they sometimes dress like a tailor, sometimes like they’ve just stepped off a 1940's war ship, but sometimes like an overaged skater, especially to a concert on a Monday night. Sorry to visit on an ‘overaged skater day’, I’ll make sure I come back on a ‘tailor-day’, along with David and Harry and off course pop in to say Hi, en-route to Pizza Express - where us cap-wearers belong.

Superb food and excellent customer service. Myself,my wife,two daughters and my grandson Tyler ate here on our first night stay Blackpool and I can honestly say that the food and service here is the best I have ever received. From the homemade complimentary bread rolls to the cooking of the meals was second to none. Trust me if you go here you won't be disappointed. It's 5 star food at 3 star prices.

What a surprise - a top-class restaurant in Blackpool? Sure it was, on our oldies outing from Southport. A warm welcome, wonderful food (especially the Pavlova!), and fascinating "architecture". Looking forward to next time.

What a fantastic restaurant, 12 for us visited for my husbands 60th birthday, the service was second to none I have ever experienced and the food was of the highest quality and standard. Highly recommended we will certainly be eating here again next time we are in Blackpool.

Prebooked a table earlier in the day and were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome on arrival. Shortly after being seated the chef personaly brought out a complimentary bite sized sample of fish and chips which was a nice touch. We skipped starters but enjoyed the delicious homemade bread and went straight to mains. We had chicken from the bistro menu and turkey from the specials menu. Both looked and tasted incredibleMoving on to dessert we had the chocolate mousse and strawberry pavlova. Both decadent and delicious. The homemade ice cream is highly recommended.Service was great and the food was amazing. The restaurant is tucked away from the promenade and sea front but worth the short few minute walk. I can't imagine there are many better places to eat on a weekend away in Blackpool. Would definitely return.

My visit last night proved just as successful as every other visit I have made to this establishment. The menu was very limited in choice but offered something for everyone and proved exceptional value. We were treated to an amuse-bouche of fish and chips and then the home-made bread appeared and it was truly excellent. What followed were two excellent courses, (no room for the pudding) that were cooked to perfection and of generous proportions. A very reasonably priced bottle of Pinot Noir accompanied the meal and was excellent. I cannot recommend this establishment enough, for the quality of food I have last night I have often paid double or even treble in establishments and Lytham and London, go and try it

The food here never fails to disappoint. The amuse bouche of fish and chips was that nice that I ordered the same for my main course. My husband had the duck spring rolls and I was really jealous because they were beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful, I can’t praise them enough.

Kwizeen is so good. It was recommended by a friend who said it was one of the best restaurants in Blackpool. It is off the main drag but only a few minutes walk and it is away from all the eat all you can buffet places. Run by two delightful brother in laws for the last 18 years the food was quite amazing. There is the very reasonable bistro menu if you are there before 7.30 pm and an interesting evening menu. We chose from both and were given a welcome appetiser of a tiny paper case of fish and chips. Having opted for two different house wines (both good) we were then given warm home baked bread before our starters arrived. The food was excellent. If you go to Blackpool you must go to Kwizeen.

We went with our friends from far and wide to Kwizeen tonight, it's been awhile since we last went not for any other reason then family commitments, we where a group of five and every one of us was delighted with our meal, from the minute we walked in the door we where looked after and made to feel welcome, the food was beautifully presented and was the nicest we have eaten in Blackpool, If you are looking for a wonderfully dining experience you must go here. I've visited this restaurant several times for business lunches and have not been disappointed. Food is superb, service is superb, friendly staff.... I can not fault it. We have booked our works Christmas meal here for this year based on previous experience and all the staff are looking forward to the occasion.

The food was not only delicious, but also beautifully presented. The chef came out to talk about how to make my choices gluten free--he even bakes his own gluten-free bread! I wish Kwizeen were closer--it would be my go-to place for the terrific staff and the wonderful food.

There must be some bloody good restaurants in Blackpool, because we went to Kwizeen on a Saturday evening and we were the only ones there, and the rest don't know what they are missing.It's fine dining at the price of pub food,imho, it's not that far off Northcote standards,but at a fraction of the price. If your in and around Blackpool give it a try, you won't be disappointed.Oh, and don't be put off by the avatar picture on some of the google searches, if it doesn,t show the Kwizeen Restaurant complete with a Kwizeen sign it isn,t the restaurant.

We stumbled upon this place online and a vague remembrance that a family member had been last year and thought it good.We called ahead to book which unfortunately wasn't necessary as the restaurant only had two other tables. The staff were really nice and welcoming. We received a complimentary amuse-bouche on arrival of fish and chips which I thought was really cute considering our location, one down side was the chips could have been seasoned, but it was delightful anyway.We ordered water and wine. We then looked though the menu. I was disappointed to see only salmon and risotto as the only non meat option, but my family love meat so the we're happy. I had the tortellini starter as a main which was gorgeous! The food was excellent! We have all eaten in some very good restaurants but I can easily say that this was the best food I've ever had in Blackpool. Coming from London for family visits can be a big disappointment cuisine wise and it's great to see a place that is striving for something better than burger and chips or fish and chips.Please visit this place, I hope you will enjoy it as much as we did.If visiting from out of town and unfamiliar with Blackpool, don't be off put by the location.Thanks for a great evening.

Having recently being diagnosed coeliacs it was a minefield , we googled local restaurants catering to gluten free diet and Kwizeen came up, having lived in Blackpool all our lives neither my husband or I had visited here before, the chef personally took my order explaining my allergies can be catered for to say myMeal was perfect would be an understatement so very impressed by staff personal touch and the delicious food cannot wait to go back soon!!

Trust me when I say this place is absolutely fantastic "fine dining". You just never associate such exquisite food with Blackpool but you have to try this place.Superb!!

This restaurant deserves to have more business given the quality of the dishes they prepare and the very reasonable prices they charge. I have known Marco (chef) and John (front of house) for quite a few years both in the restaurant and for outside events for which they have catered and they just get better and better in terms of food and service, so if you are visiting Blackpool, it's worthwhile going back a few streets from where most of the action is to sample their delicious food. The amuse-bouche of 'fish and chips' got the evening off to a great start and the little cone-shaped brandy snap filled with a lemon curd cream was a perfect way to round it off, whilst the dishes in between were pretty fantastic as well.

A party of us had lunch here yesterday,the food was excellent,and very good valuethe service was attentive,without being overbearing,certainly venue to visit again

I have traveled the world and eaten in 5 star to greasy spoons. I have attended many outside catering events. The food I had today was without doubt the worst food I have ever eaten. Bread rolls were stale, The salmon starter was inedible, main course consisted of turkey and gammon which was ok, however, the potatoes and vegetables were fridge cold, salads and rice were tasteless. Deserts consisted of a cheese cake with a soggy bottom, another dish which I could not tell what it was supposed to be small pavlovas that were also tasteless. It's fair to say that had I been served this rubbish in a restaurant environment I would not have paid the bill. The food is so bad visiting parties to our golf club refuse to eat with us. Not having eaten at Kwizeens restaurant I cannot not comment on the quality of the food there. But if you are looking for outside caterers I suggest you use another company. I have given them a one start only because trip advisor force me to do so, as you can't submit without a star rating. 0 stars is what they I would have rated them as they are not worthy of one star.

This is restaurant is fabulous. We all enjoyed wonderful beautifully presented food and excellent service. Amazing.

Me and my wife have just eaten here. I have to say it's the best food ever.. Can't recommend It enough. Great food. Friendly staff. What more can you ask. Highly recomend giving this place a try.

What can we say.absolutely a fantastic 3 course meal.the food was excellent as well as the service.if you like a very friendly and personal touch to your night this place is an absolute must.thank you so much for a lovely evening and we will be returning with my parents at the end of June for my birthday.😆
