The Ottoman Doner - Ilford in Redbridge

Ordered from these guys on uber eats - they made me wait 44 minutes even though they said my order would be delivered in 30-35 minutes. Then they cancelled for no reason whatsoever. No explanation nothing! Ridiculous customer service!

One of the best places for iftar. Food on time and quality food.

Their donor & chips box is amazing, with generous portion. Definitely feels like high quality food to me. Their garlic mayo sauce is lovely too. Keep it up, and you've got yourself a loyal customer.

We love the Doner here, I normally get bulgur rice with mixed Doner. Bulgur rice is one of the best I’ve ever eaten, the donor meat is also pretty decent. They do very good sauces and the brothers serving are very friendly. Although the doner meat isn’t amongst the best we’ve eaten, the box itself as whole it’s very tasty and filling. The sauce, rice, salad and the meat really go so well together - I would definitely recommend them.

After long day at work seeing so many people, the best moment is greeting the courier at my door , amazing food , great staff , i reccommend with two hands 🫶🏻

Been here afew times from when it's opened. Service is on point. Food is always done fresh and great variety of products. Even though it's a traditional donner gaff the burgers I recommend giving a go.

We often order from here through UberEats and the food is always fresh, tasty and in good portion sizes, hence why it's our go to takeaway. The staff working here are also incredibly helpful and friendly. In our most recent order we had an issue where the courier picked up and delivered the wrong order and was not being willing to help sort the issue. We called Ottoman Donner to see if there was anything that could be done for us to still receive our food, we asked if we could put an extra order in if they would still be able to send the first order with it as well and they were very understanding and sent both orders together so that we could still receive our first order. Thank you Ottoman Donner staff! Highly recommend this place for both the quality, taste and prices of food as well as their incredible customer service. 10/10

Quality food, my favourite branch. Donner always tasting 10/10, bengalis always making it better than actual turkish restaurants. Chilli sauce is one of the best you'll get in east london. Call up in advance and your food will always be ready in time. Recommend the smashed Donner burger, empire burger or meat chips and bread. Bread is top tier here. Keep it up guys

Very impressed with their food and portions. I ordered the mixed doner with chips. Their salad was nice and fresh. The meat and chicken was flavoursome and the portion size was very generous. The triple cheese burger was also really nice and great size. Highly recommend.

I ate there yesterday. We ordered mix doner, empire burger, both with chips, barbecue wings and milk cake. Everything was nice especially the Turkish milk cake but the empire burger was very dissipating as is tasted off, not fresh and flavourless. I will never order any beef burger from there again.

Arguably the best fast food restaurant ilford lane has to offer! They’re prowess lies in their quality meat and generous with condiments and adequately rewards loyal customers.

Tight with the sauces. Gave us 1 container each of chilli and garlic for 2 large meals. Chips tasted old. Doner was ok.

We went there take a look, lady that was working there didn't even seated us or said hello or even gave us menue so we decided walk out and notice the restaurant opposite (Watan) large queue so we decided to go there instead. It took a little long to get seated but much worth it. The food was absolutely banging. Glad we did not waste our money at this place

Had an iftar there. Bought chicken doner. it was hard and not fresh. Came home suffered from upset stomach. Not the best and over priced! Not sure how it's lasted all this time.!

The food was nice. Tasted like any other burger joint to me. However the doner meat was good. They have a prayer space which is good. Overall was a nice experience.

We were welcomed by the staff immediately very accommodating, helped us choose our meals as this was our first time at ottoman donner. They even cut a burger in half for us as two of us wanted to try a naga burger. Food was very tasted large portions and very fresh. Would recommend ottoman donner especially the illford branch as they have a real sense of community even with those from out of town like my self

Ordered chicken doner kebab to take away, went in there like 1h ago. They made me wait like 20min and after I asked where is my food the employee at the counter just said "I didn't see you" and that "food is ready for more that 10min". All that time he was chitchatting and didn't bother to come and look for a customer even if I was sitting downstairs just next to the counter. He didn't bother to call me as well so I had to take cold food. Maybe next time concentrate on your job instead of singing and chatting? I was the only customer in the building while waiting and only delivery drivers used to pop in. Shame - not a service. And I was kinda regular in there 👎👎👎

Waste of money rude staff the quantity they are giving is not enough the amount they are charging you will find 75% chips and 25 % meat if you order donor with chips worst experience every time.

I went today with my family around 2pm and the service was appalling. We ordered 2 meals and the front man taking orders were very rude. Not friendly at all. He treated us very badly after we grabbed a fizzy drink instead of the water bottle. He mentioned it’s 40p extra. We replied saying that it wasn’t a problem. He started saying “I’m running a business”. We replies saying that’s fine and he started justifying himself. We didn’t have an issue with paying extra, he was just passive aggressive. We don’t like his attitude. Disgusting. Won’t be going there again!

The service is very very bad they can’t speak good with customers…I never suggest next time go.

Came down from barking to collect my order only to come home and find the wrong food was given!! The manager did offer me a free meal if i come back in in future. But was very disappointed overall

Ordered on Uber eats with priority delivery, not only did I choose this restaurant for the first time and considering now everywhere is closed. My wife is heavily pregnant and ordered herself a wrap that she fancied. All food arrived cold, which is impossible for a priority order delivered by motorbike at 12am, I watched the driver and he drove here with 11 minutes so it being cold is completely down to the restaurant. Double cheeseburger was dry, everything freezing and they missed out my wife’s wrap, so I now have to order elsewhere for her. Will never order with them again, when I rang them they actually tried accusing me of lying or the driver of stealing in some sense but the the bag came sealed and they claim to have put the wrap in there but they never. I’d avoid if I were you. Very disappointed, I was hoping it would all be great and become a regular as we are new to the area.

Went a few days ago with my friends and as we came we realised it was cash only but the bossman was very kind to offer bank transfer as the service provided by him and his team was very well. Also, kind enough to let us pray upstairs and made me and my friends feel very welcomed.

As beautiful as the location is the service is top quality and food is just mouth wateringly tasty. Nice and perfect for families to eat in. I loved it with my family.

I recently visited this place. Whilst placing my order I was informed they ONLY TAKE CASH. This is ridiculous, how on earth does a takeaway shop not have a card machine in 2023. Get with the time lads, everyone knows why you don't have a card machine. Also, they no longer have a cash machine in their store.

This is not a fake review as I have receipt to prove that. I am not sure how people ended up giving The Ottoman Doner, Ilford branch, the 5 star review. Yesterday, me and my mother went for a lunch. We ordered their signature/must try burger the Empire burger. After placing the order the meal came within a few minutes, which was strange for us. However, we just ignored it and had our meal. First of all the actual bun was too small to handle the content inside it. Secondly, while eating I had some hard stuff/material in my mouth, could be bone etc. However, I again ignored it. The worst thing was that we both had a bad tummy in the evening, which proves either they gave us the old food or their hygiene standards are very bad/low. The Ottoman Doner is quite close to us but I do not think, I will be visiting them again.

Food was really good and friendly staff. Specially sitting was so comfortable, really impressed by staff and service. Highly recommended friends and family.

10/10 in all regards but especially in the service aspect, exceptional service, they really went above and beyond for our party of 7. Looking forward to our next visit.

I feel they spent so much money on getting famous people here & instead should have focused on their food. From the outside I thought it was a delish boujee steak house or something but when we went in we found out it was just a regular burger joint. We opted for their most popular burger which is their biggest burger with beef patties & donner. They served it without the donner & when we showed them all the workers start touching the burger & we said we don’t want it after it’s been in so many hands. They made us a fresh one and it was ok. The sauces were 10/10 though

Bismillah alhumdulilah The empire burger was lovely 3 beef patties with doner, beef was juicy and well cooked Doner in a box with chips good size portion. Doner well cooked thin and juicy one of the best doners I've had. Chips crispy and fresh with nice dips Great service and very clean and tidy place..... Highly recommended with prices very reasonable.

Donner kebab is very good, the burger bun fell apart when I held it, so ask them for a brioche bun when you get the burger. Good food, good price, not much else to say.

Their lamb doner is nice. i like their caramel Tres leches milk cake more than their main offering, one of the tastiest milk cake i had in a while.

Brilliant food, amazing service, the quality of the Donner meat was top, none of that rubbish you get from GDK. The service was on point, and the prices are very reasonable, £8 for a huge donner box !

My family tried Ottoman for the first time today and they really enjoyed the food. The food portions are big and well priced plus the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back soon!

This has to be the best Ottoman Doner place in London. Excellent customer service by Khales, I thoroughly appreciated his skills and was awe of his calm composure in this busy place. At the last minute, I managed to hire the 1st floor space for my daughter's birthday party. All my kids loved it, enjoyed the food so much, they can't wait to have another party there again. Everything was clean and fresh, and I highly recommend this place.

One of the worst places to encounter, they have the worst service ,they don’t know abt the allergens they use , the food is smelly, there behaviour towards the delivery drivers who collect the food is even worse ,the guy on the counter was arguing and using very rude language.i would never recommend this branch to anyone it’s opposite to oodles.

The place had a clean and Turkish themed aesthetic. Seating available upstairs, customer service was on point. Food was clean, tasty and served pretty quickly. Not really much else to review, just a great doner takeaway type sit in or take away joint.
