The Oriental Chinese in Salford

Just travelled to try the oriental for the 1st time in 26yrs as we haven’t lived in Swinton for 26yrs. We were not disappointed thank you for the memory’s of Friday night tea with the in-laws.

First time visit. Had a gorgeous hot and spicy beef curry and sweet and sour chicken. Lovely food and service. Will be returning!

Absolutely amazing food cooked to your needs

One of the best Chinese I've had, and I've been to them all around swinton it's the cheapest without cutting the cost of quality on their food aswell so tasty and fresh the salt and pepper chicken wings are beautiful lots of chicken on them aswell ee had the beef chowmain and the king prawn sweet n sour with egg fried rice prawn toast was absolutely delicious

The pancake roll was all beansprouts and nothing else and the Oriental fried rice was undercooked and bland. Such a shame.

We have been customers since Bill opened his first shop in Swinton over 45 years ago & we have remained customers since his son David, Daughter, Julie & Jackie took over. Best Chinese in Swinton by far. Unfortunately they don’t need to do deliveries ( I wish they did) but we prefer to drive there to collect above getting food from elsewhere, it’s worth it. It’s cash only, so be prepared.

Absolutely gorgeous food and staff are very nice

First time ordering but one of the only places in Swinton that does a nice duck curry and my other half has a duck black bean very nice indeed - we will be back again - recommend to others

Mouth watering Chinese food. Bought chicken fried rice and prawns fried rice. It was fantastic.

Ordered and collected food during the lockdown, obviously they're not as busy as they don't deliver but the salt and pepper chicken wings were clearly not freshly made but older refried food. They were so dark brown in colour and the meat inside wasn't right at all the bones were dark grey. I put them straight in the bin, such a shame it has great reviews and I've had delicious fried rice from here before but sadly I won't be back now there's no excuse for serving food in that condition just glad i put it in the bin.

This is my favourite Chinese ever!!! Salt and pepper chicken is amazing and chips curry and rice but that's all I eat I wouldn't know about any other food 😂

The Oriental have done the BEST chips in Swinton since I was a kid. Not greasy at all! Check them out! :-)

It's okay but New century just a bit further up is so much better
