Sorry but the food was awful, I know i ordered breakfast items late in the day but don’t advertised them if you can’t cater for them, The Bacon had burnt to a crisp the mushrooms smelt funny and had a burnt taste the eggs looked like they were in little plastic pouches, the weren’t but did taste plasticy. I have awarded a 3 your lucky the hash browns and sausages were nice the rest was garbage and after a few bite went in the bin

The food arrived warm however is was all smashed together in the box and it didn't come with the mushrooms I paid for.

First visit to swinton morrissons cafe. Found the lady behind the counter very abrupt had no peoples skills. The bacon on the barmcake was dry and cold. She was very unhelpful about how you got your coffees. We won't be going again. Needs looking into

This review got a 3 because of a lovely young member of staff called Vanessa. The coffee machine was broken as usual and she stopped to help me. She actually got told off by another member of staff for helping because she was supposed to be cleaning tables. Clearly a young woman who likes to provide customer service.

What can I say but absolutely terrible food and service. This cafe should be closed for staff training because it shows that the staff are not qualified enough to provide good food or service, they do their best (all except one very rude lady who has no time for customers) but it is obvious things need to change. The quality of the food is not acceptable especially for the price, you can buy a nice pub lunch for the same price. The teapots, cutlery and cups are dirty. Where is the supervisor or manager? because they don’t seem to be interested in the poor food or service. The staff are running around trying to clean tables, serve at the tills while serving food to customers.

This cafe needs shutting down. The manager does not have a clue how to run a cafe and bosses her staff around like they are robots , and the older lady who brought my food over with her full fringe everywhere had a disgusting attitude. No manners or customer service at all . Also heard her talking to a young girl like rubbish. Would never visit again

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. SURE THEY TAKE THE MICK WHEN YOU ORDER! BACON WAS WHITE AS YOU LIKE LOOKED LIKE IT HAD BEEN BOILED! NOT WHAT U EXPECT WHEN YOUR PREGNANT !!!

Cutlery had crusty bits embedded, cups were filthy and no teaspoons available. I ordered poached eggs on a bed of avocado on toast. The avocado was some sort of green paste which seemed totally different from what they advertise and the bread tasted stale. However on another note the atmosphere is welcoming and some of the staff are really nice! I guess one can’t have everything!

Ordered two bacon breakfast sandwiches, only got two slices of bacon and 4 slices of bread. The staff member on the counter was docile. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAFE AT ALL

Possibly the worst cafe experience I have had! The tea pots had grime in them. After changing to a third pot I managed to get one clean. After finding a clean tea pot and then had to search for a tea cup what didn’t have tea stains in them. The knifes and falls were also dirty and had to search for clean ones. There was a black hair stuck to my fried bread. While it was all going on I had two employees shouting across from each other (one which was in the till point. The second which was eating in the cafe) about asking for items etc. With the cleanliness and the staff shouting across to each other. I left the majority of my food.

Heard they did a great breakfast from our grandson and not disappointed. First visit since store rdfurb. Lovely breakfast( see pictures, friendly helpful servicemen fton young lady in her first week and did us proud. A mere 5 minute wait. Fried Eggcooked to perfection, really nice sausage, hash browns , free butter and toast. Serve yourself coffee machine. Great value- we will definitely go again after early morning school run( security guy at the door very welcoming, courteous friendky and pleasant ) loved the crockery- love thd lipped plate, wzbt one- photographed thd make and model

Absolutely dreadful service - if any of the staff had a brain cell they’d be dangerous. Far too much messing around with deliveries and absolute disregard for anyone actually eating in the cafe. No apology, no concern. It would be easier and quicker to go and lay the egg for the breakfast yourself Avoid at all costs.

I ordered a roast dinner from here off Uber eats. I put on the notes ‘no peas please and extra gravy if possible’. Because I didn’t know if they pre plated with the gravy or it came separately and well I didn’t want a stingy amount pre soaked into my food. They acknowledge this request on the receipt by writing a response. However they ignored me and added peas hidden under my mash. I have a legume allergy and it was mentioned pre gravy and response meaning they seen this request. I also ordered a Tropicana. The driver made me aware there was none and again it is written On my receipt. however they didn’t think it was worth their time to take it off the order electronically as every other place would and has in the past, so I was charged for this and did not realise until after I reported my meal and I cannot currently add to that complaint. Jokers

Second time ordering and missing items again…

So bought 2 x ultimate breakfast, when they eventually came over done and when asked for brown sauce told they do not supply. Went back to counter and informed them the tomatoes was missing off both told they didn’t have any and the store don’t have any in stock. Went and bought my own brown sauce from store which I don’t think is acceptable and find the tomato shelf had full stock. How difficult is it to fulfil the breakfast that I paid for this is unacceptable.

For the price I have paid I have received a very bad order food missing and one whole part of the rider missing no compensation or even a try to supplementitems to make the rider up but was sent our like tha,disgusting and sub par standards disappointed and will not be ordering again

Management need to sort the staffing problems out in the cafe. Two ladies working in there, couldn’t take our order because they were too busy, we were left standing in the queue, with other customers who were also getting frustrated, whilst apparently a manager was sat down having their breakfast, and must have known what was going on.

If I wanted a build your own breakfast/lunch I would have bloody ordered one!! Yet I order bacon on toast…it arrived with the bacon on the side and the toast was NOT even buttered. I did not expect to be building the bacon on toast MYSELF. No butter was offered for toast. This is a disgusting! I know the society is in a crisis but Jesus…this is just pour laziness on the staffs behalf. I asked for 4 rashes of bacon but got told it comes in 2 rashes or 3 rashes…sure there is a 99p add for extra. I don’t think any of the staff know what they are doing…they look like they would rather be anyone but at work. That’s how you feel don’t work there. I will never come to the Swinton Morrison’s Cafe again.

Told me they had no food despite me turning up on the exact minute they said it was redy to collect. Bloke behind the counter said he had sold two other bags earlier in the day but there were no other TGTG pick-up times or offers that day...they literally have one per day and pickup is 6pm which was when I was the first one there! If the guy was correct then he is letting his food bags go earlier than the allowed time on the app so suspect he is just doing favours for his mates. I complained to TooGoodToGo but all they do is offer a refund. It takes me time to drive to the store so wasting petrol and my time. Next time I go to the store I will be asking to speak to a manager why I am constantly being told there is no food. This must be the 8th time it has happened in a row!

My order was over 10 mins late which due to the courier as was collected at 1028am only live 5 mins round corner so wasn’t very warm

They Cancelled 2 orders, finally received the food it was cold and soggy bacon was see through just not good quality at all.

Chicken tikka was very dry and rice was burnt and clumped together. Very small portion, came with a slice of garlic bread instead of naan.

we went there yesterday for breakfast - never again, burnt sausage, dried up rashers of bacon - bread only half toasted! No brown sugar for coffee. compleat rip off. we tried the morrisons in Eccles 4 weeks ago - that was bad but not as bad as Swinton. never again!!!

Ordered our breakfast at the machine there was no table numbers so went down to ask for a number to be told they are under the bloody machine by the older lady behide the counter even though they were not so she went and found them then sat on our table waiting for the food to arrive it took 45 minutes to turn up and I've never known food to be burnt and cold at the same time if I had enough pieces I could of built a house with the fried bread it was that hard and when I complained I was told what do you expect it's nearly 12 o'clock if I could of give this place -1 instead of one star I would don't expect service with a smile or a half decent breakfast

4 out of 5 of the order was incorrect or missing. Dreadful as you can't do anything other than get your money back. Doesn't help when your feeding the office breakfast. 😕

Awful wait times due to the slowest working and most unbothered staff I think I've ever seen. No apology for bad service. 2 people asked for refunds while I was waiting before I eventually asked for my meal to be refunded too.

1ST THING: HOW YOU MAKE A CUSTOMER FEEL IS SO IMPORTANT!! I said hello to the woman at the counter of the cafe and she just stared at me and didn't say a word. I couldn't believe it. She seemed to have something against me and made me feel very uneasy. Definitely not a feeling for a paying customer! When she bought the food out she said "OK?" but did not ask if we wanted any sauces. So I said nothing. Not a single smile or anything. I had an ultimate breakfast and my child had a kids meal. The bacon in the breakfast was hard and burnt but edible. I like the ultimate breakfast generally and shared some with my child, but the customer service....oh my God, absolutely awful. Will NOT go again.

Waited 40 minutes for a breakfast, they forgot the extra hash brown, no apology for how long it took :( There was no warming of the wait when we ordered, would not recommend, very disappointed:( Staff seemed rude as well, overall very poor experience, 2 stars as usually good quick service !

We came in Morrison’s for some lunch and the lady called Debbie who served us was very rude she calling our family , she was very rude to my mum who has bad mental health issues and was rude about my young brother who has disability’s and I don’t feel safe anymore coming into my nearest Morrison’s , she was rude to an elderly lady and some other customers, I don’t exspect to come out and pay good earned money for cold food and she didn’t order our youngest child the toast we asked for her she was very rude and if this doesn’t get sorted I shall pass this into my loyer

Not been here in years, went for the first time and the customer service was terrible. I’m trying to catch up with family and I’ve got someone shouting breakfasts out and blaming customers for sitting in the wrong places. I’m sorry but we all had clear table numbers, that’s what they are there for. It was really annoying trying to have a conversation and a woman putting food in your face asking is this ours every 5 minutes and shouting! So off putting, and the food took about 30 minutes to come out; I only ordered eggs on toast! Not coming back again!

This "famous big breakfast" that Morrisons boast of has sadly been in decline for a number of years. All there products are in house supplied,so they should be able to offer a reasonable price,but as in most cases prices increase and the content diminishes, less bacon(and smaller),egg options have disappeared on the big breakfast,only 1 hash brown,seems to have been replaced by bland black pudding (not everyone's immediate choice on breakfast. Breakfast is an integral part of the day for many people,and can be acquired many places at similar prices,not one off specials,some offer all you can eat if that appeals,but also better. Morrisons need to look at how they used to deliver it's " famous big breakfast" . After all attracting customers to shop and eat is a win- win situation in these tough ,competitive markets.

I used this café twice a week currently and I am always satisfied with the meal, service and staff. I have recently, because of the 1/2 price breakfast, recommended this to my neighbours and they too have enjoyed their meals. I can understand some of the comments below and I know they do occur, but it is a working busy café and unfortunately, as with any fast moving, shifting cooking environment things do go wrong, but and it it is a very large meaningful BUT when you raised these points with the pleasant and helpful staff the problems are resolved, quickly, apologetically and with a smile. This isn't a top class, high price restaurant where tables are booked in advance, which allows for staff planning etc, it is a café which is at the mercy of Joe Public turning up slowly or in droves at a time so things will unfortunately go wrong, The important thing is staff will and I will stress DO put things right as soon as they can, I know it is frustrating at times when you have to wait for your food or if it is cold when it arrives, but they will and do correct any issues with speed when it is brought to their attention. I used the pre order facility yesterday and the system worked fine, unfortunately like any online ordering system for food there will always be issues around availability not being up to date at any given time, if they cook the last sausage prior to knowing others sausages being ordered how are the staff to know that. I quite a few years ago placed a very serious complaint about many problems with the café to head office, they listened and more to the point put things right very quickly. Yes there are some issues on occasions but the Manager, the staff will do their absolute best to put any issues wrong, right, in a professional manner with an apology and with a smile. So please just remember they are always trying their best in an environment which is a shifting feast (literally) and some understanding will sometimes be necessary and always appreciated.

Well to be honest since they opened back up its not the same food. Staff are friendly that's always the case and are very polite but the food is not the same at all

Visited at around 15.00 . Cafe not particularly busy. Ordered food and drinks at the front of the cafe on machine and sat down waiting for food. Briefly asked what we did about cold drinks on order, namely bottled coke, to be told that the coke should have been taken off the system for purchase as they didn't stock it. Told to help myself from drinks dispenser. I took my drinks back to the table. After 10 minutes a member of staff came to the table and told us the food we had ordered was unavailable as they had "just sold the last one" and did we want to pick something else. A menu was dumped on the table and said member of staff walked away mumbling about have a look and I will come back in a minute. She didn't. I then went back to order my second choice and she said OK, and pointed to the other meal now drying up nicely on the hot plate and said we will bring them out when this is done. No apology, no courtesy, just complete disinterest. Never again. Morrisons get a grip!

Visited recently,new system in place your order on a screen and pay,ridiculous,takes your order then hadn't got what I ordered,waited 18 minutes for a bowl of soup!2 items on child menu not available,and not exactly reasonable price,no stars

Called in for breakfast on Saturday morning and asked for poached eggs on toast and full breakfast for my partner which was all served to us

I have been twice now for breakfast the first time the mushrooms and bacon were cold but i thought it may have been a one off so I went again and i,m sorry i did. The mushroom was cold again but so was the beans and the bacon was like rubber also the hash brown was solid, they must leave them under lamps when cooked until someone wants them. I looked and their was no sausage so I told them and someone turned up with 2 sausage in a bowl but I also told them the table needed cleaning as it was full of crumbs and cup ring marks. she brought the breakfast before cleaning the table and put the knife and fork on the dirty table then came back with a cloth and half cleaned the table. The sausage was the only thing that i liked. I heard other people also saying something was missing off their breakfast so it's a common thing. they need to get their act together or shut the cafe and do something useful with the area because it's no good as a cafe when they serving up cold food on dirty tables, and thats when you get what you ask for.. Never again i'll go elsewhere from now on.

My husband and I went into the Swinton cafe on Monday, first day of reopening. He had sausage barmcake (now brioche) and I had toasted teacakes. Jam used to be optional, now it comes with the teacake at an extra charge of 50p, whether you want jam or not. Well, I hate jam on toasted teacakes but still have to pay for it. Cutlery is given from behind counter, but you get your own tea spoons. No sugar sachets but sugar shakers which others were handling. As always, tables not cleaned, just dirty dishes removed. The main meal options have changed too, not for the better. The sausagesmy husband had looked as though they may have been cooked before lockdown; disgusting. We've enjoyed some good meals in this cafe, fish and chips (still on the menu) liver and onions with mash - couldn't find anything with mash now. The toasties have changed to microwave ones too.

Not been for years, popped in before shoppibg, nice breakfast, fair price and fairly safe with the distancing.

Customer service doesn’t exist in this place. Have been waiting more than 30 min and been told fish is finishing. People not queuing properly and staff not bothering to help. Ending up to leave and go somewhere else to get a better service and told fish is finished. Maybe put a sign to avoid waiting for edges for nothing. Horrible management and no common sense. They also charge 30p for a bag despite others are less than half price.

Food wasn't great at all. Chips that had obviously been stood, items missing from my meal which I wasn't told about, no gravy with pie and chicken burger with everything in when I asked for plain and no onion rings

Visited this cafe on 5th July, which reopened on 2and July after lockdown. It was quiet, clean, and well presented. Tables had been spaced appropriately and transparent screens had been fitted between each table. Staff were wearing PPE. We ordered 2 Big Breakfasts which arrived promptly. The bacon, sausages, hash browns, mushrooms, egg, beans and fried bread were all nicely cooked. Americano and a Latte were equally good. I would definitely recommend this cafe for a good breakfast!

Both coffee machines out of milk. Cups stained. Ordered gammon egg and chips. Everything kept in banmarie. Egg hard, chips hard, gammon unrecognisable. Something has to be done with this cafe. Atrocious.

I visit here frequently and have noticed that, recently, the staff are too few, pressured and struggling to cope ie: rows of tables remaining uncleared for most of the day, which does nothing for the ambience. The idea from above seem to be that the computerised menu reduces the need for staff.. but things on the ground show that that idea is currently in need of a rethink. The new free coffee/tea refills are just about keeping me from Asda (whose coffee is actually Costa Coffee) but that café seems to be low priority, too, as they haven't even bothered to upgrade the card readers for contactless.

I take ny elderly father frequently and normally excellent, just taken him for lunch and it was very poor, dirty, long wait and most items not on menu. Must add not the staffs fault they were working hard its obvious that Morrissons are letting standards slip

Went to Morrison’s cafe with sister. We ordered baked potato one with tuna one with cheese and beans. The tuna potato had onion with the mayonnaise and was lukewarm. The potato with cheese and beans was also lukewarm. Not a very pleasant lunch. The cafe staff don’t seem to have set duties they appear to be jack of all trades and master of none.

Not a great breakfast. I've been to Morrisons cafe many times and never have a grumble but my last visit was awful. I ordered food and a tea, I got my tea and sat down. As I was drinking the tea I noticed it was spilling on me, I thought I wasn't drinking out of the cup properly but on closer inspection the cup had 3 hairline cracks in and was leaking. I changed the cup and got a fresh pot of tea so not a huge deal. Breakfast came and was not enjoyable at all. It was greasy, bacon was hard, sausages no texture almost mushy, hashbrowns soaked in oil, toast was good but no butter served and no butter in the condiment/cutlery section! I had to ask at the till and the server asked me how many pieces of toast I had! There was also 2 wasps flying around that myself and a lady from closeby table had to keep swatting away. Not great.

The cafe at Morrison's seems to be frequented by two sorts, young mums having just dumped their kids off at school or elderly couples who seem disinterested in an attempt to provide good service to them. Mind you it is probably the poor standard of service and food that makes them so grumpy. Sausages vie with rubber bullets as regards taste and rigidity. Eggs are so greasy that Mercedes is thinking of using them for Lewis Hamilton's car. Hash browns are conglomerated tasteless mush, while the bacon rashers are probably taken from guinea pigs as they are so minuscule. Add this to surly staff and ignored tables full of plates/cups etc that idle diners leave and you have a very undesirable place to eat. Don't know how many times management oversee the work of the cafe manager but clearly it is either not enough or they walk around with their eyes closed.

Last visit was bad but went again while shopping. Not improved at all. I ordered beef Sunday lunch. They had ran out at 2pm. They offered alternative eg chicken or lamb shank. I see suggested turkey. It arrived cold. I asked to be put in microwave. It was just about edible when it came back. some items were unappetising and left on plate. Never again.

We have just waited 50 minutes for two breakfasts. We were not told about a wait when we ordered if we had we would of gone somewhere else. When the breakfast arrived it was cold and greasy.

Great supermarket cafe. Much better than most other stores. Including other morrisons. Very helpful staff. Who go out of their way .

Popped in to get food for myself and son. I paid on the self service machine. Which I think is a new system. I still had to que up for my drink. Waited 25 minutes for the food. The poor old man in front of me only ended up getting a drink because he couldn’t find any clean side plates. All the cups that the staff had put out were filthy. So the machine isn’t cleaning them properly. The staff didn’t have a clue about the orders. If I wasn’t in such a rush I would of complained.

Much better than the Boltob Morrisons.

Not good idea to have all day breakfast in the afternoon. It arrived quickly so obviously not cooked to order. It was cold. Sent it back to receive the same dish warmed up in microwave. My friend had cheese toastie which was also cold and sent back. Not impressed at all.

Like going to the cafe our granddaughter likes it there too food is good and get plenty good value for money sometimes have to wait along time for food
