The Organ Inn in Wiltshire

This used to be the best pub for miles around. Under its new landlord it is barely a shadow of its former self. Bar staff surly and unhelpful. Poor choice of beer (almost none on tap). Now very overpriced. Pre-COVID I went here every Friday when the atmosphere was fantastic, the beer fantastic and the landlord friendly and helpful. Now I won't be returning.

Was denied drink because I was under 60 years old. The woman behind the bar welcomed us, but had an attitude I came back to warminster to meet family and will not return to the organ again.

Lovely atmosphere pub with more family vibe, good food and service

Great breakfast bacon sandwich, a massive pot of tea and mugs of coffee. Thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary fizz from the staff whilst watching the rugby match.

Gorgeous place! From outside it looks deceptively small, but inside its a Warren of space of quirkiness! The art gallery upstairs is awesome, with lots of beautiful locally made trinkets for sale to suit every pocket! The garden is an absolute suntrap, and the lit fire as you walk in is just heavenly welcoming. Highly recommend for breakfast and lunch, yet to try later in the evening.

Visited the Organ Inn today. We where a family of six and a dog. We all had a meal and a drink. The food was excellent, well cooked and nicely presented. The staff were very friendly and could not help enough. The pub was clean and fresh. All in all a fantastic place to eat and I would not hesitate to return.

Called in on off chance, had not realised it had reopened. Had a good nose around. Delightful sitting out area at the back for sunny days. Ordered a drink and was then tempted by the lunchtime special. Really good chicken, ham and leek pie with freshly cooked veg and mash. Great value for money. Staff very pleasant, could become Warminster lunch spot for us. Next visit to sample evening ambience. Good luck with your project to create something a little different.

We went here after being disappointed by a venue nearby. Lovely little gaff, good selection of beer and a very friendly barmaid. Surprised at the competitiveness of the pricing. Definitely return, a hidden gem.

Popped in for lunch this afternoon, it was lovely with a roaring fire to warm up on this chilly day. Fantastic food, good quality and value for money. Will definitely be returning!

Had a lovely evening meal. Food cooked fresh to order arriving piping hot. Verty tasty steak and ale pie. There was a good atmosheare. They serve real ale now which seemed to be a hit. There was a group of young women enjoying coffee and cake too so that's another option. Definately a place to meet friends for a drink and a chat. We will be back.

We are local residents and popped in for lunch today. Very tastefully restored with a pleasant ambiance. A warm welcome from our hosts followed by a pleasant lunch in front of log burning fire. Great to see it open again, especially a on bitterly cold day.

UPDATE: Has since changed hands, haven't been there but they now do light bites and play 60s music. Limited opening times. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Great local pub but very welcoming. Good ales changed regularly. .

Good to see Organ reopened. Very welcoming hosts. The food we had was excellent and reasonably priced, no draught real ales as yet but on the way as new owners s find their way. Need to publicize their reopening to show Warminster has a new pub

The only good thing in the town of Warminster. Lovely pub, lovely garden area, great staff. But if a shame about the rest of the town.

Walking into this place is like stepping back 70 years. A truly wonderful pub. A great selection of real ales, friendly staff and locals. If you are in the area give this place a visit.

Have wanted to visit for a while. Not what I expected at all. It is a pub, a proper pub not a theme pub or a gastropub or a sports bar. Just a really good pub, with reasonably priced drinks, a good selection of ales and ciders, friendly barstaff and a nice big fire. Does something simple, well and I will definitely be back.

Lovely decorations and a nice pub for couples and groups of friends I have to say that the fact that they have my favourite rums behind the bar aka any of the Dead Mans Fingers Rums

Had a fabulous evening at this cosy friendly pub. Staff lovely and very welcoming. Loos spotless too. No food here but allow you to bring in your own Take Aways and they provide plates, cutlery & condiments. Excellent idea.

A wood burning stove, glowing with warmth and dancing flames welcomes you to The Organ Inn. Then... a pub that truly celebrates beer! I'd heard of non of those on offer. But after my wife and I had been for the second time in two days we'd sample three of the four on tap. Wonderful!And full of locals. Who says not doing food is business suicide!

Would recommend you visit if you are in Warminster area.Traditional pub for over 21s no music or fruit machines. Real ale. Can take in food so long as you buy drink. Extremely friendly welcoming staff.

Good atmosphere (I went Friday / Saturday night) Full of friendly locals, decent folks.It's a tardis. Very unassuming front that looks like a shop. But it has a lovely little bar with friendly and helpful staff. There are all sorts of rooms with tables to accommodate many. But the jewel in the Crown has to be the quaint little beer garden. All sorts of beers. Craft ales etc. I loved the Voignier white wine.A must of a drop in before or after dinner at say Dolce Vita almost opposite.

Definitely the most popular pub in town, with a wide variety of clientel, in a very charactersome building. We're not fans of the secret recipe Organ Ale, but there's plenty others to choose from and some of their guest ales are well worth trying, especially at the annual beer festival. Dan, the proprietor, has done so well in keeping this pub going following the restoration in 2006. Dan is always happy to advise builders, electricians, carpenters, plumbers, DIY merchants, tree surgeons, you name it, on how to carry out their work more effectively. Dan very much likes to involve himself in other people's business and give them guidance, the knowledgebase of Warminster!

We love this pub! Any chance we have to call back in, to what used to be our local, we're there!! I moved to Bristol in August but have regular trips back to Warminster every other week. The welcome is always sincere and very friendly, the choice of cider and ales excellent, the atmosphere warm and inviting (especially when the fires are lit). The courtyard garden in the summer is wonderful and a real sun trap.We can't recommend this pub highly enough, the staff are brilliant, it is full of character, immersed in history and is a really great place to relax and unwind.

About the only reason in my view for visiting Warminster is to savour a welcoming pint or two in this establishment which has a long and interesting history. Opens from 4pm weekdays and always a friendly welcome with great selection of ales and ciders to choose from. No meals as such served but there are the usual bar type snacks. A roaring wood burner operates during colder months, no music, dogs welcome - so along with great beer it’s exactly how a traditional pub should be! Oh, and over 21s only allowed. No surprise The Organ Inn received a CAMRA regional rural pub 2018 award.

A quality local pub like they used to be, decent and well kept beer with a good range of gin too. Sit out the back for a relaxed bit of fresh air and a plate of cheese and crackers. A pub worth it's salt

Like someone's front room! Very friendly and good atmosphere if a little noisy sometimes. Wouldn't suggest a quiet pint at the weekend! Occasionally live music. Art Gallery upstairs.

Superb pub with a wonderful varying selection of ales (and more) and an excellent atmosphere. Very friendly and ideal for a relaxed chat. We moved to Warminster 11 years ago, have been going there every week since and it's still by far our favourite pub anywhere. Highly recommended.

Lovely pub, the only thing eletric is the light bulbs, no juke box, no one arm bandits, no tv, no radio, no kids just good company, freindly folks and fabulous range of beers and ales. Bliss.

A fantastic range of craft beers and ciders. The Thatchers Cheddar Valley is amazing. It goes so well with the cheese board. Very friendly informative staff. Well worth a visit.

What a fabulous place! It was very busy when we visited, service was measured not hurried but everyone was nice and relaxed. A proper pub that CAMRA clearly endorses for its range of cask real ales and fine local ciders. The Organ doesn't do food, just typical snacks and untypical cheese boards. However, should you be looking for something more substantial you are welcome to bring a takeaway onto the premises and the licensee will provide plates, cutlery and condiments. What a fabulous place!

A really lovely pub, our dog was allowed inside. Nice fires in both bars; the beer selection was very good and well presented. Coffee was also very good. This is what a real pub is all about. Excellent

Lovely little town centre pub with a real local feel and some nice ales, great place to go with some friends for a few drinks, they have a good 'back room' with some bigger tables ideal for about 8 people or so, plus as they do not do food if you wanted to bring in your own food from one of the local takeaways they seem to be quite happy to let you do that
