Such a lovely community cafe, with a soft play section for under 5s. Food and drink is well made and extremely reasonably priced which is so needed for the community in these times. Soft play is also a great price at £3 for 2 hours. It's probably more for under 4s as our 3 year old is already starting to outgrow it which is a shame, but we look forward to coming again lots when our baby is a little older! They have a small baby section as well as the larger section. The best thing about it is the completely open layout meaning you can totally relax in the seating area as you have a perfect view of your child at all times. It's the safest soft play set-up we've been to. Staff are friendly and helpful. It can get very busy and you can't book anymore which is a shame for managing childrens expectations as they just want to get in straight away and we've had to wait quite a while in the cafe area a couple of times. Luckily they do have puzzles and books in there for them though which helped. There are a lot of parking spaces but it does get busy so sometimes you have to park elsewhere. We look forward to many more trips here!

Brilliant for my 16month old. Staff are so friendly, drinks are really reasonable and yummy! It's been a brilliant place for me and my daughter to meet with friends over this winter.

My friend suggested this place for a coffee/catch up and a play date for our boys. The staff were really friendly, drinks tasty and the soft play perfect for younger children. Will definitely return.

Great idea to have a soft play and cafe in the local area, however, despite being advertised as an under fives soft play, it isn't suitable for children over 2.5 - 3 years and should be advertised as such I believe. The staff were friendly and the free squash for kids is good, however we were made to feel very uncomfortable by other patrons, particularly the older generation who were there with their younger grandchildren crawling around and made it clear that they felt that my two year old shouldn't be there. Given that this is a community cafe and soft play strongly associated with the local church, and whilst I understand that those running the cafe can't be held responsible for the ignorance of others, it would be nice if patrons were encouraged to demonstrate accepting and welcoming behaviour towards others, which is what I would expect of an establishment with such links to the church. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Great coffee served by friendly people. A really nice atmosphere. Great for a quiet cuppa or a friendly chat. The soft play is perfect for under fives as not too large and rowdy but still plenty to entertain. I'm a new mum and have found this a great place to meet other mums too!

A simple but amazing place. Sells tasty coffee, teas, hot chocolate and good cake selection. Brilliant soft play area for under 5's too. A lovely welcome and coffee as good as anywhere else (if not better) for £1.50 - couldn't ask for more.

Traditional old English pub with some of the best food in the south east. This is our go to “local” from Great Notley, great selection of ales and ciders, plus your normal largers and Guinness. The house wine is always spot on. My reason for writing this review is the food, it’s just great. With no chain franchise to pay, the ingredients are always top quality, the menu is adventurous but supported by staple fare like the sumptuous hot pot, pictured below. The pub is dog friendly and the staff welcoming.
