I have never been more disappointed with a service before in my life. Ordered a breakfast to go which already was £7.50. would of thought there would be some discount as not eating in... Asked if I could swap the toast for an oatcake... No. So paid for an oatcake as well... Total was now £10... Taking the Mick charging that much for a single oatcake and then they didn't include my toast ?? Take a look at the picture here for £10 I couldnt even get a sausage? One mushroom? I am actually outraged!! Labeled traditional breakfast but no sausage or tomato, if traditional and at £7.50 no black pudding? No toast... If you want to rip off customers then you succeeded. Well and truly been had off and does it matter at this point taste was terrible? Wasn't even given the opportunity to be disappointed by the sausage and other missing bits. Looks like chef grabbed the oatcake in a rage and scrunched it up and threw it on there, can only laugh. I feel robbed, what do you think? Silverdale needs a breakfast shop, don't make the same mistake as me and go here.

Whilst the food and staff were really nice, the toilets were disgusting, water flowing out of the toilet when flushed, and very dirty, no water flowed from tap either, my husband had the same experience in the men's loo too, not good at all.

Terrible service and the food was worse. When I complained the manager (Sadie or sandie) was really snarky and then went into the kitchen and started swearing and screaming at the staff in there. Very bad attitude and terrible atmosphere, felt very unwanted from the off won’t return.

Arrived around 3pm and asked if they were still serving. Lovely lady said yes, no problem and seemed very accommodating. So we asked the young lady at the counter for an afternoon tea, as there were boards advertising this everywhere, only to be told you have to order this 24 hours in advance. Perhaps the advertising should say this. We were then told we could have sandwiches and cakes and tea/coffee (if they'd have delivered this as an afternoon tea, we wouldn't have known the difference). However, choice of sandwiches very limited, as apparently no chicken, no ham. Settled for a cheese and tomato panini ( should be ham, cheese and tomato but best they could do). Asked for bag of crisps, but only got quavers - you could actually see crisps being sold in the garden centre - would have been easier to just get a bag from there and have done as everything seemed a bit too much effort for the young girl. Panini arrived with side salad drizzled with dressing but no cutlery and none on display, so unable to eat this. Total waste. Pot of tea was ok, and cake actually quite nice but the whole experience was pretty dismal and we felt like we were being a nuisance just for asking to be served. Not particularly cheap either. Won't be returning.

Been using the Cafe for years through many owners and managers. Yvonne used to work in the kitchen sadly she had moved on since the new Manager was appointed. Luckily Nikkie the Assistant Manager remains in post , it’s her friendliness and efficiency that keeps us returning week after week . She is very caring and has great rapport with her regular customers and gives a lovely welcome to everyone. A credit to the Cafe Good range of cakes available and the coffee is good quality .

Went to buy a cake and noticed that the cappuccino cakes had been mixed with other cakes. I noticed on the carrot cake small bits, I asked the young Assistant if the carrot cake had nuts on (as I have a severe nut allergy). She said no and that it was just carrot cake. I challenged her and asked if she would find out to which she did and came back to tell me that it did in fact have nuts on. I then spoke to the Assistant manager who was lovely and clearly embrassed and said she would immediately dispose of the other cakes and label the nut cakes. Which to me seemed absolutely reasonable and I would of left it there, however the actual manager was sitting behind us on her laptop doing work. The Assistant manager went over and told her about the situation. I then over heard the managers slating me and saying to the Assistant manager, well we can't go labelling everything and that basically bad mouthed up. She then suggested to the Assistant manager just to put the nut cakes on a separate tray. The manager at this point did not realise we were sitting directly behind her and could hear everything. The lovely Assistant manager then pointed me out (through embrassment) as I heard everything. The manager then got high rate, turned to me and said, "we don't have to label our food as there is that many allergies that they would be there all day". I said, that because the carrot cake had been mixed with none nut cakes this is now cross contamination and that because they had been so close to the cakes with nuts that she would not be able to sell these has a person with severe but allergies could die and she would could be in trouble. She still sat there arguing the fact with me. I noticed that at this point the Assistant manager took the none nut cakes off the shelves and took it in the back. The Assistant manager absolutely took this very seriously and did her up most to correct this situation, however the actual manager couldn't of cared less. Nut allergies are extremely serious.

We visited today and ordered an omelette and chips and a bacon and egg batch. After waiting for 25 minutes and seeing two groups who ordered food after us being served, I went to enquire whether they’d forgotten our order and was asked what I ordered and was told it was ‘just being done now’. It arrived 20 minutes later, but was wrong -we were given the correct omelette but the wrong batch! Very lackadaisical attitude to their customers.

Came from Manchester to get some Willow sculptures. And decided to have lunch. Greeted by friendly staff. They didn’t do children portions so shared fish and chips with Grandson. Without asking they brought out an extra portion of chips. The food was well presented and fish was delicious. Would eat there again

Visited a few weeks ago after a trip to the attached garden centre. Couldn’t see a menu so asked to be told “got none” but order at the counter. Wasn’t busy. So I waited at the counter. The blonde female assistant was crying as I stood there. Not a snivel but a full blown boo hoo! I asked if she was ok but she was too distressed to acknowledge. An older woman popped out from the kitchen & told her loudly to get outside and compose herself. They both then disappeared and left me stood there. Turned out they did sandwiches but didn’t know what & had no oatcakes at they had no delivery and were too busy moaning about new owners to serve customers. We ended up just having drinks. Another couple came in & ended up with breakfasts they didn’t really want due to lack of lunch options. Today short of time we nipped in. Again no menus available. There’s a cardboard on the counter suggesting customers ask about sandwich of the day so I did. Got told should be ham but no ham. I ordered something off the breakfast list but noted it was charging at much higher price than listed. Again I got told that was due to new owners. Again we gave up and left without food as it’s like a badly run school dinner ladies sketch. Staff seem to have huge chip about new owners & the atmosphere is so customer unfriendly from the moment you walk in with staff continually shouting across & feeling hard done by. Used to be busy. No wonder it isn’t know. The nearby stench of the local quarry isn’t as off putting as the staff.

Didn't like the fact there was a small dog in the bar. Not that I don't like dogs I just thought they shouldn't ve allowed in there on a busy Saturday night when the misc was blaring and people were drunk. The poor little dog looked terrified and I had to leave because it was upsetting me. My dog would of been scared too. Its no place for a little dog when people are pissed, dancing, shouting ect it's just not fair on them at all

I used to like visiting here but it is going downhill fast. The man on the counter was the most miserable person i have ever seen,he didn't smile once and was quite abrupt in his manner. This could have been due to him being alone at the counter doing everything whilst 3 staff members worked the drive thru.Service was really painfully slow even when another employee started helping. The entire restaurant was filthy,no tables were being cleaned and there was rubbish all over the floor.I probably won't return to this branch.

Passed 4 or 5 services stations that were all bk ones, didn't want that. We ended up stopping at gretna services as my partner was getting tired. Was delighted to see chopstix there. I had the small box with a half and half rice and noodles base topped with sweet and sour chicken, my partner had the large box with half and half but the large box comes with 2 toppings. He had Thai green curry and a potato dish ( he can't remember what it was ) Both were absolutely delicious and piping hot. Chicken was juicy and succulent. The small box looks quite small but there's plenty in it. I managed half and brought the rest home for tea. Will definitely be back

This now offers a breakfast menu and has changed names. I ordered the traditional breakfast which came with mushroom, beans, bacon, sausage and a runny egg. Really good quality with a lovely taste, the server was very friendly for 7.30am. Good value and freshly cooked, very pleasant.

Mixed reviews, but we thought we try it, and our food was great. Ordered 3 Pizzas, garlic bread and chips, and everything was nicely cooked, tasty and not at all greasy. We'll definitely go back. The young adult serving us was friendly and helpful, and the kitchen smells clean. Prices aren't cheap, but fairly standard nowadays, so it is great for a pizza night treat.
