The OWH is a great pub with the best staff! Since it’s in the middle of Stourbridge, my friends and I meet here often for a catch up. The last few times we’ve been served by Gracey, who’s always so lovely and welcoming despite usually being rushed off her feet. Might go as far as to say she deserves a promotion! ;) Thanks OWH for always being top notch

And that's generous one star with food was disgusting for a carvery I had mix grill that was card board meat was worsed I've ever tasted from any public house and the price was discusted for what we had AVOID AVOID save your money

It’s a cosy warm pub, on these winter nights. The staff are excellent, including Tim, Ryan, & Grace. My wife had posh fish & chips & I had halloumi & chips, both meals were excellent & highly recommend. The 50% Off was well worth it. Thank you!

One of my favourite places to go for a meal. Best lasagna ever! Chips are delicious! Perfect for a meal or for a drink and a game of darts!!

4 of us for lunch. We were told that there was a 30 minute delay in food service, but in reality that became 65 minutes and that was after we complained. The food ingredients were good but 2 of our meals were tepid. The bar queue was far too long caused by a lack of staff. The pub was very busy that day, no free tables but managers should plan for that.

Excellent food and service. We visit this pub regularly to enjoy lunch or an evening meal.

Grace has interacted with her customers in a way that is seldom seen making a good evening even better and making my wife and I feel special and looking forward to a return visit.

Good food, service has always been polite, and food served in a timely manor. It has a nice family atmosphere and some low background music adding to the ambience.

The staff were lovely Welcoming and friendly. The food was great and the ambience was lovely . However there never seems to be enough staff on the tills/bar There was a promotion on and the management would have known it would be especially busy So why do they put their staff under extra pressure?

Came in for a family dinner with the 50% offer on, there pub was busy with lots of people talking advantage of the generous deal. Service was great, we were advised there might be a slight wait for food and that one of the dishes on there menu was unavailable both understandable! We were offered a board game or colouring for the kids while we waited and when the food came it was hot, well presented and absolutely delicious. Steaks cooked perfectly which is impressive given how many meals were going out. Really lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

Another great visit . Friday lunch very busy told of wait because of 50%off food come out hot and well presented . Even tho the staff were rushed off there feet yet again Justine went above and beyond to help and talk to us she is a absolute delight. She told us zee cooked our food which was delicious especially the mixed grill. My only gripe bay staff need to smile . Looking forward to coming back with family .

Visited a few times and never had a bad meal. Staff are lovely and service is great. I was served by Jackie who was lovely, extremely patient and understanding when going through the allergen information with me and provided friendly service throughout our experience. Food is such good value for money and the offers they have on are fab. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.

Nothing really wrong here. Your average pub menu, very friendly & helpful staff etc. Sadly we went to use a 50% reduction offer...along with everyone else so the wait was 45 mins! We will return but at a time when it is a little less busy.

Booked online. Arrived and had been put on table by the fire, which was very welcome on a cold day. Ordered on the app, which was really easy. The 50% off mains was our main reason for visiting and the coupon on the app worked well. When food arrived it was tasty well cooked. Service was very friendly. Drinks arrived promptly, however it took over 30 minutes for our mains to arrive (rump steak and chips), which was a little frustrating. Also would suggest gritting the car park, at the very least the disabled spaces. There was lots of black ice and was dangerous for us disabled customers.

Went on a wednesday night, pub was only 30% full. First time here, we ordered at 18:40 a starter and 2 mains. Took 45 mins for the single starter to arrive and an additional 20 mins for our mains to come which arrived at around 7:50. Our second order of drinks alone took 35 mins to come. Food looked like it had been sat for a while and wasnt the best massively overcooked. Male waiter who seemed to be in charge was running around like crazy and did feel sorry for him as his other waitress didnt seem to be doing a lot just walking around hopelessly. First time here and had heard good things but overall was disappointed. Spent over £40 for average food that took over an hour to come. Male waiter did give us both a free drink which was good as we were literally about to leave and were at the bar trying to cancel food as it came out. Did appreciate it but wasn't a good experience which was a shame. Would give 1* but male waiter made experience better.

Friendly staff and a good place for a drink

We went in, hoping to have some food, and there was only one staff member behind the bar. She looked worn out, and it was hard to get a smile from her, we could understand how she felt and did say sorry for the wait. We had staff off sick. There was no food on that Sunday but we had a nice drink.

Family meal. Table was ok (No1) ,by right by toilet. Food was excellent. Good value and piping hot, desert was lovely. Service at bar was ok,not much of a smile,but beer and bar was nice. Will definitely return.

Went for Christmas day dinner. Staff were friendly. Especially Caroline I think who served most meals at lunch time to most tables. She was a proper smiley workhorse! Tables were pleasantly decorated and there was nice ambient music playing. Starter came out fine, although 2 of our prawn starters had the thin end bits of bread. We then had to wait around 45 mins for our mains to come out. Which were fine. Puddings then came out at the time our table time ran out. We were then told by another member of staff that people were waiting for our table as we were still eating pudding. Hardly fair really. Put a slight taint on what was an acceptable dinner!

We had a late lunch on the Saturday 21st December. We had a considerable wait- 45 minutes - which I considered acceptable given the time of year. We were told by the warm, friendly staff of the wait, too. The food was above average: the chicken tikka massala was tasty and generous in size. However, the bangers and mash practically had no mash in it! Maybe they'd run out of spuds due to the high demand. I was left feeling hungry. I also strongly recommend the beers they have. Excellent ales. The restaurant and facilities are always clean, well maintained, and child friendly. It is popular with young families and anolder clientele, so with any luck you'll avoid having your drink or meal ruined by unsavoury characters.

We had to wait for our table on arrival Once seated our starters took over 45 minutes to arrival Then our main meals took over an hour Got one apology and offered a drink There was no sprouts, dried up roast potatoes The meal on a whole was totally disgusting We didn't stay for our desserts Waiting staff apologised Put 1 star but wouldn't even give that

Excellent atmosphere on Christmas Eve. Decorated really well! Staff very welcoming and attentive. Food was delicious especially the festive burger .

Service ok but don’t have a steak or mixed grill. Three in our party had sirloin all were tough and one was uneatable . The steak,ham and chicken on the mixed grill was uneatable. We were offered a free drink as compensation. Won’t be going back.

I needed somewhere to work from for the day and I found a perfect spot with the Old White Horse. I had an instant welcome as soon as I walked in by Jenson and Tim, and was shown a lovely comfy, quiet table with a socket close by for my laptop. The lunch I ordered arrived quick and was super tasty. If you need a change of scenery then I can't recommend this pub enough, and the team will really look after you.

Four of us had a very nice dinner at The Old White Horse on Saturday 7 December. The staff were all lovely and friendly, the atmosphere was warm and Christmassy and the food and drink was good.

This is our local pub, we always come here, great service, friendly staff ,all round great place! Today we had booked a table for 4pm for some food, when we arrived we were shown to our table and given a lovely clean high chair for our little one, we went to the bar to order food. Sadly when we went to order food we were Informed that there was at least an hour and a half wait for food, they had a big table come in and there was a backlog, very apologetic staff and we totally understood, however still not really happy, such a shame really for a place we go to a lot and have never had an issue. We decided just to have a bev and grab a takeaway on the way home, they really were run off their feet however, a walk in table of large numbers should not take priority over a booked table. Gutted!!!!

1st time visit, very busy told an hour wait for food, which was fine as open fire and noce atmosphere. Food arrived in 20 mins. Really nice food. Must compliment waitress Anna, excellent asset to the business. Very friendly, customer service 2nd to none.

Came in for a family meal using the 50% off main meals Black Friday deal. The service was impeccable from heather, Justine and jeanie. All of our 5 meals were cooked to perfection. Well worth the wait. Thank you Carl, Xee and Jackie H for the food, couldn’t ask for more from you. And let’s not forget the stunning glass collector Grace.

Had a lovely evening with friends we did have a wait due to the volume of customers which was nice to see, we didn't mind as we were having a good chat, they did seem quite under staffed I don't envy them I worked a long time in a busy restaurant so I know what it's like but we'll done to all staff we will be returning

Food looked amazing, but I didn't eat on this occasion. Staff very friendly and helpful and atmosphere was calm and relaxed, however... The only issue is that it appeared that members of staff were having either supervisions or appraisals being completed sat out on the pub/restaurant floor in full view and close proximity to the customers. Felt this was really unprofessional and inappropriate. Those type of meetings should have been done privately and away from the paying public it didn't sit well with me and did make me and my party feel uneasy.
