After waiting over an hour for food, my wife enjoyed the roast dinner. Unfortunately I had ordered the lamb shank, the meat itself was great, the creamy mash seemed to be lumpy mashed roast potatoes and veg was cold.

We stayed here for a last minute overnight stay after it was recommended to us.We stayed here because it is also dog friendly. A very professional check in which also included a complimentary bag of dog treats, impressed. We were allocated Rm 1 which was perfectly adequate and clean. We only booked on the day and this was the only remaining room.We were greeted warmly when we went to the bar and all the lads on shift were very professional and friendly.Good choice of beverages and not expensive. We had a meal on the evening which was excellent. We had a Seafood Platter to start which we shared between us both and were very impressed. My partner had Mussels and she thoroughly enjoyed them.I had a Mixed grill and it was superb, the Rump steak was cooked to perfection exactly as I requested. After a good night's sleep we went for breakfast. We were welcomed.by a young lady who was very polite and attentive and a beaming smile. It was buffet style breakfast served from chafing dishes.Everything was hot and replenished often.I requested extra coffee and that was brought to our table swiftly. A professional check out and off we went, planning to return again soon.Keep up the good work Team. Andrew,Jeanette and Monty the Spaniel.

We really love this pub/restaurant. The staff in particular make it a really special experience. My only reason for giving less than 5/5 is that it is quite pricey for pub food. But for a special occasion, absolutely recommend!

Slow service. No ice. Flat soda water. No prawns - only informed of this 10 minutes after ordering prawn cocktail. Mushy vegetables and pink cauliflower presumably from being kept warm with red onion or red cabbage bits mixed in with it. No one came to ask how the food was, and no comments were made as to why we’d left around half of it. Best avoided.

Poor lack of drinks and ice in a pub isn’t good. Lidl gin behind the bar. The only reason we stayed was my husband’s boss had paid for the drinks. I’m a local and would never come here by choice. Also buffet wasn’t nice over cooked chicken. I’m concerned the owners have taken over another local pub that’s going to go down hill now.

I was impressed with the place when I got there. Clean tidy and looked fantastic. Then it started to go downhill fast. The service was slow and the food was not very good. It sounded great on the menu but something was lost during the preparation. The whole meal lacked consistency. From the bruschetta with pesto which was garlic bread to the Black Forest gateau which was chocolate cake. Nonexistent onion rings, chips that came with the sweet and plates that burned the fingers when passed over the table. I won’t be rushing back.

Family meal for 8, mixed ages. Fantastic service. Food was amazing. Would definitely recommend. From start to finish can not fault. There was also a rather large Funeral party, that we were pre warned about.

Having been recommended this restaurant we looked at the web site including the menu my wife and I selected this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We booked and arrived at 12 noon. From the on-line menu we had chosen from the lunch menu before we arrived and were disappointed that this menu was not available on Saturday ( It does say this on the website but we missed that). We decided to order from the specials board which had four courses. We were a little disappointed at the overall choices but decided agreed to share a starter and that my wife would have the lamb chops and after checking what the pie of the day was (mince and onion) I would have the steak and kidney pudding. Both the mains were from the specials board. We also ordered a bottle of wine. After a short delay the waitress returned to advise there was no lamb chops so my wife ordered the steak and kidney kidney pudding. After a short while the wine arrived - wrong bottle. Five red wines to choose from but one not available. I was also advised that there was only one portion of steak and kidney pudding. At this stage I said we were leaving but the starter had been prepared and the waitress advised this would be complementary if we stayed. We had ordered two glasses of wine. The starter arrived immediately and then the wine. We decided to order two sweets but after a long wait without the starter plates being cleared and being unable to order a sweet we decided to leave. I went to the bar and paid for the drinks to the same waitress and gave her a tip. I expressed my disappointment but thanked her for the complementary starter. A gentleman who was also serving at the bar advised he was the duty manager and I advised him of my disappointment. Although polite, he did not apologise and his only comment was "That is your opinion". The restaurant was quiet, only about 5 tables, but the service was slow. This was commented on by another customer. The restaurant is very pleasantly furnished. Our experience was a 'curates egg' - 'good in parts' but mostly disappointing

The Old Stone through is the restaurant of the homonymous hotel located on road, in the surroundings of Kelbrook, a town in the middle of England. I came here to have dinner tomatoes soup with a Manchester Pale Ale Beer as first dish, and meat pie with potatoes and peas with a Manchester Craft Lager Beer as main dish, and a carrot cake as dessert. It was ok, a good local dinner and I could see a football match of the World Cup (I came here the first days of December). A typical pub atmosphere.

We called in for midweek lunch whilst passing, and the restaurant was not very busy. We received a friendly welcome and found the menu quite wide ranging with "daily specials". Also catering for a specific dietary requirement was easily accommodated. Orders are taken at the table and when served the freshly prepared food quantity and quality was very good, and although a little bland, represented good value. Service was great throughout.

Ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant whilst staying for a few nights in our motorhome. The breakfast is buffet style, with a selection of fruit juices, cereal and cooked English breakfast. The quality of the food was excellent, well cooked, nicely presented and constantly refreshed. We ate lunch on a Friday and currently, they have an offer on Mon-Fri of one course for £9.95 and two courses for £12.95. We opted for two course. Again the quality of the food was excellent and in all honesty, given the portion sizes, we all agreed that a main course would have been adequate for us. We ate dinner on Saturday evening in a very busy restaurant. We hadn't booked and we're lucky to find a table for four. Despite this, service was very quick. Unfortunately, a couple of the meals were not up to the standard we had experienced at breakfast and lunch. We think this was probably due to the number of people ordering at the same time. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes received. The atmosphere and ambience was great and the staff were very welcoming, friendly and efficient. A credit to the management. There is a good selection of drinks at the bar, especially JW Lees Manchester beers. Overall, a good experience and recommended.

The food at lunchtime was very disappointing! The chips were awful! Black edges and very dark coloured spots that looked & tasted terrible, overcooked batter on the fish which was greasy. We’ve had meals before which were good but it’s gone downhill in the last couple of months. The staff listened to our complaint but I don’t feel it was taken onboard. Needless to say we won’t be going again which is a shame as it’s such a lovely ambience in the bar area.

Since it first opened until the present day, this McDonald's branch has been abysmal. Regular 30-60 minute waits for very simple food orders. Staff making fake excuses and being rude instead of apologising. Customers who diligently wait to order at the counter get deliberately ignored and usually just leave the restaurant. Customers tend to get rowdy the wait times are that bad. Most of the female staff are especially moody and tend to slam your food order on the counter and glare at you silently until you leave. And for whatever reason, they struggle to cook/prepare nuggets. I've made countless complaints due to nuggets being: stone cold, without batter, covered in grease or outright disgusting and inedible, presumably due to being prepared wrong or using expired meat. AVOID this dreadful place. There's a reason it only has 2.5 stars lol
