I love the onion bhajis, mainly because you get four and not many places do this, I had chicken korma, iv been twice since moving back to newmarket and was a little disappointed with the chicken 😞 it was either over cooked or pre cooked which made it quite tough. So both times I didn't eat the chicken but thoroughly enjoyed the sauce with the rice and naan bread.

My favourite Indian in town. Much better tasting than any of the Indian restaurants in town. Shame that it's only a takeaway because the food is so much better than the restaurants. Ignore the 1 star reviews saying the 5 star reviews are fake, in my experience they have been perfect every time.

We order a takeaway delivery about once a month . There are quite a few good Indian restaurants in Newmarket, but if you love Saag curry, Bhindi, Rogan Josh especially THIS is the place to order from. They will also take note if you want your curry a bit more spicy etc in my experience. Large servings and not in plastic tubs is another plus.

3rd time receiving a takeaway order and another unreal curry! I’ve tried loads of different ones with me and my partner as we share and we haven’t had a bad one yet! Fantastic value for money, and the chicken tikka masala is the best around! Always receive free sides too! Today we got the onion salad and yogurt sauce. Best Indian in Newmarket by a mile. A real hidden gem! Thank you so much. A well deserved review!

Food arrived much quicker than anticipated for a Saturday night, it was piping hot and as tasty as ever. I don't think we've had a bad meal from here. Looking at other reviews maybe we've just been lucky?! But we will carry on getting takeaways from here, thanks!

This is the WORST Indian I have ever had, don't read the 5 star reviews, these are obviously fake and written by the owners. I have honestly never had anything so bad in my life, these people can't even cook Poppadoms, they arrived burnt all over and looked like they had been put on a gas ring to be cooked. we had two mains and three sides, the chicken in the dishes was passable at best which tasted odd and rubbery, but the sauce was horrendous, we had two completely different curries and you couldn't tell them apart, the sauce was like weak gravy, no flavour, just horrible! The sides were tasteless with no flavour whatsoever, we had a mouthful of each and threw it all in the bin. I really can't stress enough how bad the food is at this place. I have no idea how this takeaway is still open, I'd give it ZERO if I could, a very unpleasant experience and a complete waste of money. What makes me laugh the most is their website displays a picture of a lovely fine dining restaurant, it's actually a just a grotty takeaway on an estate! I'm sure this is false advertising, What a joke! If I ever have some unexpected visitors who I don't want to come round again... I'll be straight on the phone to the old scotch to order some food to serve up to them.

Best Indian takeaway in Newmarket and beyond! Every dish we had was stunning and was piping hot when we got home. Also if you phone through the order you get a 10% discount for collection.

The actual worst. Ordering over the phone was difficult, we struggled to get the address over & the phone was put down before we could pay...we waited an over an hour & called back to be told they’d come out now, which they did. Kinda wish they hadn’t, the best thing I can say was it was hot, sadly that’s it. The blandest Indian food I have ever tasted, it’s quite an achievement to make a curry that doesn’t taste anything like one, or in fact anything. I’d suggest adding spices but I’d be scared of the results. Don’t waste your cash, it’s cheap for a reason.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Possibly the worst Indian my boyfriend and I have ever tasted. Rung up to tell them about it and was confronted by a lady who possibly owns it or runs it. Very rude and unprofessional, even went out of her way to swear several times at my boyfriend. It took an hour and a half to come as well. Not what we expected. Even the dog turned his nose up. Rose and Mango and Montaz is the way to go!

If you want stodgy cold chips, the toughest meat curry, a garlic naan bread what smells like acrylic nails and tastes utterly aweful, oh and a delivery what takes nearly 2 hours and when you ring up to ask they try and tell you it had only been about an hour then finally the food arrives and the delivery driver tell you yo change your address because he went to the wrong house, then this my friends is your place to go👍🏻

Last order from there we will be making. Didnt mind too much waiting over an hour for delivery. But did mind getting our mix kebab starter being made up of part pre pack foods and the lamb being so tough only steak knives barely cut it. Cant fault them on taste but when the chicken in your curry has been previously frozen its a step too far. I expect such things from a chain, not a formerly good Indian Restuarant. Can no longer recommend

Bad location, in the ubication from google maps was many troubles to reach the place. We ordered butter chiken, the rice was strange flavour, the chiken was not nice looking. Absolutly bad decision

You guys are my most favourite source of food delivery order and OMG, you are the best Indian restaurant I know. Please keep it up, love your food!!! Oh, and all the other reviewers, please make sure you review the right place - The Old Scotch only does delivery these days, there is a different restaurant at their old location.

I used to love this place when it was The Old Scotch Inn. However I believe the change in name also came with a change of staff, and it has since become quite poor in quality. The last meal I had there, which was after the name change, was very disappointing. There was barely any flavour in the dishes that I ordered. I'm glad I don't have to eat there any more.

Probably the most disappointing curry I have had. I'm very sure they added cooled chicken at the end as it was not marinated in the slightest. Saag paneer was good but that didn't make up for the main curry....

Went online to order from them. Put my postcode in before I started putting the order together and website informed me they would deliver to me. Then spent almost half hour putting a large order together and hit 'order' half an hour later (15 minutes before we were expecting the food) I get a text saying they have refused my order. Phoned them to be told I live too far away for delivery - what was the point of entering my postcode!!! Very annoyed!

Food was delicious, thoroughly enjoyed it, haven’t visited since Covid, ignore the website as it states they are only doing take aways, they are very much open as a restaurant. I can’t believe we’ve left it so long to go back! We will def visit again. Such good value for money to! Thank you…..

I have been visiting Center Parcs annually for the past seven years as part of our family winter tradition. Unfortunately, the experience at the Sports Café has continued to decline, showing no improvement from last year, which was already the worst of my visits. Instead of addressing the issues, things have only gotten worse. The menu has remained unchanged for years, offering little variety or unique appeal. Despite the lack of innovation in their offerings, prices continue to rise to unjustifiable levels. For example, a five-piece children’s breakfast costs £7.95, which breaks down to nearly £1.80 for a single slice of bacon—a clear example of poor value for money. It’s disheartening to see how the mismanagement of this location has eroded the once warm, family-oriented atmosphere that made Center Parcs special. The environment now feels overly corporate and sterile, seemingly focused solely on extracting the maximum financial return from its visitors rather than creating a memorable experience. This year, the parc is noticeably quieter than I’ve ever seen, and without significant changes or a fresh vision, I fear it may not survive another decade. It’s a shame to watch such a beloved destination lose its charm and appeal. My advice: enjoy what’s left of it while you still can.

My wife and I sometimes come here for lunch on Sunday or occasionally stop for dinner. The buffets (both cavery & chinese) offer a good selection and are well stocked. One of out favourite local eateries.
