This is our second visit whilst on our weeks holiday. Food and service is excellent which is why we returned for another lunchtime visit. Lovely dog friendly beer garden. Food is very fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend if you’re passing.

Good quality food and good sized portions, the staff are very attentive and friendly, the venue is very tastefully decorated and the toilets are immaculate and smell really fresh unlike the usual unpleasant odors that await in so many other places, along with ample outside space this venue is suitable for both adult dining and families alike, would definitely recommend and we will return.

We went for lunch with family and kids. We are local and though it would be nice place to go as there is a lovely playground outside. Unfortunately nothing positive to say. Food was terrible. Kids sausages burst, never seen a cheaper burger, woudnt feed a dog that, not to mention my child. Overpriced, frozen rubbish. Now back at home with a stomach ache. Don't recommend!

Visited for Mothers Day with family. When we arrived it was very busy and very chaotic.Adults had carvery and kids got kids meals. Carvery had lovely meats (beef, turkey and gammon) and Yorkshire puddings but rest of trimmings need working on. Kids meals, gujons very chewy and burger very dry. Desserts ok nothing spectacular.

"Ridiculous overpriced. Bought in frozen rubbish. You could get a better meal in a hospital." Edit: my screen name is "depressi spaghetti" I was not refering to a menu item. I will not remove my review as it is my genuine opinion of the eating experiance at your establishment. I made my review after my last visit which was before your winter closure.

Beautifully located pub/restaurant overlooking the Hayle Estuary. We were present for post-funeral refreshments, several attenders having made lengthy journeys to be there. Our hosts were very friendly and well organised, and the quality of food provided was excellent. Would like to come again in happier circumstances and in brighter weather. Warmly recommended.

Extremely tasty food served by the friendliest staff in Cornwall. We dropped in on the off chance of a table and were made very welcome. Highly recommend a visit. Wasn't warm enough to sit in the fantastic beer garden but the views over the estuary were great.

Popped in here for dinner last night following a disaster with our BBQ, camping. The place is well presented with a lovely garden area. My partner ordered the Beef Burger and I had the Pie. The food was over priced in my opinion. My partners burger was absolutely tiny, smallest burger we have ever seen in our lives. The chips were very nice though to be honest.

We visited for a wonderful Sunday lunch on Father's day. Despite being really busy everything ran like clockwork. A wonderful warm welcome followed by excellent service and really delicious food. Lots of choice from the Sunday menu or there was a carvery option. I usually tend to avoid a carvery, but the Old Quay House carvery was exceptional. Everything tasted so fresh and they were quickly changing old for new on a regular basis. The waiting staff were really attentive and great to have a chat with. Thank you for having us, can't recommend you enough.

We've stayed at the Old Quay House on many occasions, we live in London 300 miles away, I can honestly say the long drive is worth every mile. When we arrive it's like coming home to family. Margaret & Trevor are wonderful hosts & the staff are a credit to them. The lodge we stayed in overlooked the estuary, waking up to this view in the morning is second to none. The food is very nice & good value for money. The Old Quay House is well looked after & always clean. The gardens are well maintained & there's also a children's play area which is very popular. Without doubt I would recommend the Old Quay House for long or short stays. Robert & Lynda Levy.

Went Thursday evening 7.30 for a drink with friends who were down on holiday amd we Sat in the lovely garden. Went to get another drink and a lady was tidying some of the garden furniture away and I asked if the bar was still open she said oh yes. It was just before 9pm . Got some drinks and went back outside. Got up to go the toilet about 15 minutes later and the place was locked up lights off. No one said we are closing up soon we was just left in the garden!! Totally understand places closing if quiet but tell your customers you are so they can use the toilet and leave.

The room was nicely spaced but the bathroom/toilet was small. There were basic toiletries (hand-wash/shower gel) and even a lotion with some cotton balls/tissues. A fridge was in the room and it was nicely warm when we arrived. Best part- we booked on the same evening and got the room. We checked in late night (11pm) got access (we were informed via call of details). The lighting was an issue- it took a bit of time to spot the residential entrance.

After visiting my home county of Cornwall in Penzance, I wanted what all Cornish men yearn for a real Cornish pasty so I bought one from a shop that has been trading for 20/30 years and what I tasted was the biggest disappointment I’ve ever had (total rubbish) disgrace to all Cornish pasties, so the next day I went into the deli called the Cornish Hen and bought another pasty and wow it was the best I’ve ever had in Cornwall so I say to all you people who visit Penzance and want the best pasty going visit the Cornish Hen in Penzance you won’t be disappointed

Arrived at 1715 on a Wednesday to get a takeaway, couldn't park outside road was full, found a parking space 5 mins away walked to the restaurant and it was closed. Did come back another day when you were open and got a great takeaway and managed to park right outside, I know now google are a pain if you try to change the opening times.
