Felt very welcome, friendly and helpful bartender. Only had drinks, both ale and cider were good. Quirky decor, cozy pub, would be very nice to have as a local!

Coming from Wales to visit the area, I found it quite expensive (£9.20 two pints) but apart from that it is an awesomely quaint drinking establishment

What a breath of fresh air. We have been here several times over the last couple of years and it's a great place to drink. Great drinks, great company, good prices. It's our go to place to drink in Warwick, go and support. Highly recommend

Was our first visit here and we came twice in two days so can definitely say it's worth a visit, we love our real ales so there were lots of choice,we had Whitstable Bay stout and it was very nice indeed. Very quirky and comfortable atmosphere the landlord Tim was friendly and approachable. It's is closed on Mondays, when next in Warwick we will go back.

This was a fantastic pub to visit, located conveniently near the beautiful Lord Leycester building! The pub itself maintains an old theme and the counter is well-presented, plenty of ciders available here. Staff were welcoming and seating is comfortable, tables kept firm and clean too!

Regularly changing beer which is well kept and well priced for Warwick. Quite dark inside giving a cosy vibe and there are lots of random and interesting antique ornaments and pictures to gaze over whilst enjoying your beer. The landlord is most welcoming and the locals are friendly. Probably not somwhere you could stay for hours but an absolute must for a quick visit if you're in the area.

Such a good pub. I've been coming here and there for years, and always enjoyed the excellent and varied selection of craft beers and real ales on offer. Traditional yet quirky style pub with a focus on good beer with the occasional live music act. My partners' live around the corner so I find myself coming here for a pint here or there when I'm visiting (from the long trek over in Leamington spa) What really sets this place apart from the others is how welcoming it feels for me. As a trans person, it's often daunting to enter a traditional real ale pub with the concern that I may not be accepted in such a space, but there is no worry here. Sure, it's got all the great hallmarks of a brilliant traditional real ale pub but it's also progressive and I never ever feel out of place. Now, it's not a LGBTQIA+ bar, it's an everyone bar, and while I love the former as safe places to really celebrate who I am and be loud about my identity, I can't emphasize enough how lovely it is to have spaces like this where that side of me is just that: a part of me. It's not that my transness isn't there, or observable, it's just that this place welcomes me as a craft beer enthusiast and I've never ever had any issues, trouble or worries here. I can just sit, have a delicious pint and take in the wonderful atmosphere. There's always a lot of women here as well as men (and in my case I'm non binary) which in itself is telling of how great of a space this is for everyone that loves a tasty pint. A seriously good pub, cannot recommend enough. If you like a good beer absolutely try this place out.

Nice little micropub with friendly staff and customers, and a good range of cask ale and flat cider. Live music some nights

What a gem. Great real ale, the hosts were really welcoming, and the music was fantastic and played at a level where you could have a normal conversation. Next time, I won't be driving so I can try many more beers than the one I had. Great crisps as well. See you soon.

In an age where pubs are shutting and becoming foodie and " family friendly" - thank the Lord for the wonderful OPO - a proper pub where you go to meet like minded folk and drink beer served by enthusiasts of the ale.

Very very small "pub". I'm sure its wonderful for locals but as a visitor to the area, it wasnt the most welcoming or comfortable. No space to sit inside, no good for wheelchair users as too narrow had to squeeze past chairs and I can walk! Had steps up to the bar. Only stayed for 1 short as no where to sit.

A great few nights drinking here. Even joined in with the charity quiz night with the locals. Fabulous atmosphere great real ales 🥰

Quirky pub in the old Post Office near to West Gate. They have an interesting but not huge mix of cask and keg beers as well as some interesting ciders. The clientele is quite mature but very friendly and happy for a chat. Bar staff happy to chat and let you chat. Pub food consisted of fill rolls but we didn't try any. Lovely and warm. We enjoyed it so much we went back on second night!

Went in on Sunday afternoon. There was a a small group of people singing folk songs. Unusual but good. Beer choice good. Busy.

This place is really cool. We stumbled across it when heading to Warwick Castle for a gig. The place looked quirky so we thought we would have a pint. The decor is a little hap hazard but has the feel of an old pub with none of the yellowing from fag smoke. There are different casks on constantly. We tried a sour that nearly caused my lips to bleed I pursed them together that tight and a blood orange cider which went down way too easily. The young lad was friendly and allowed us to try a couple of beers before buying our drinks and the overall atmosphere was very friendly with our small group talking to multiple other groups of people in the hour we were in there.

Smal but perfectly formed! Cracking selection of real ales, quick friendly service and had a chat with the new owners (who also run The Eagle). Lively as there was a Chic gig at Warwick Castle.

IGNORE any negative reviews (few and far between). These guys are doing EVERYTHING right!! Great range and reasonable prices. Love that we were politely asked to stand up so the barman could get a new keg from under the bench we were sat at 😆. No carling just bespoke beers and ciders (6.8..phew!). Friendly barstaff and super laidback atmos. ACE!

This place is in the good pub guide, so we thought we would give it a go. Sadly not impressed, for a small place it was not to friendly, the ale was OK but nothing special. Eklectic inside and dusty. We felt so uncomfortable we only stayed for 1 drink.

Very different bar. Not particularly comfortable but great beer and lots of strange artefacts which were conversation pieces.

Traditional pub with character, good service and excellent choice of real, craft ales and other beverages. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and enjoy a traditional pub. Happy to recommend and return.

Fantastic pub for beer lovers. Always have a great range of craft beer from IPA to sours. Slightly tight inside but that's part of its charm and character. Seats out the front too for the claustrophobic among us.

A classic 'old man' pub, in a good way. Good beer, really well kept, good prices. Very compact place, attracts a very sociable and civilised crowd. Not one to bring the kids to, but a great one to escape the kids to. This is the sort by pub that will survive the UK transition from beer drinkers to coffee drinkers, because it deserves to.

Found this excellent gem of a pub on a wander around Warwick. Compact and cosy with a small bar serving an excellent range of beers at reasonable prices. Quirky seating areas indoors with an outside space streetside for the summer, which will be needed at busy times. Highly recommend you seek out and try this hidden surprise in Warwick.

Perfect little independent joint, with old chaps playing guitars and a fiddle at the front. Very keenly priced ales and decor clearly dictated by some slightly insanely wonderful hippie. The best place in town for a few cozy quiet pints.

One of the few places in Warwick that know how to look after real ale. Spent our last Friday night here before moving away from the area. Decent selection of cider too for a change - my wife didn't miss the gin!

Husband loves this place and all the real ales on offer. Seating is a little bit uncomfortable would be my only concern if you planned on spending a whole evening here.
