We had the Sunday lunch menu for £45 a head which I thought was great value for 4 courses . A lovely anti pasti starter and then pasta & potato which sounds a bit weird but it was amazing ! I asked for the recipe ! The chicken main was very tasty with the side salad and we loved the desert . All in all a great experience. Loved the soundtrack as well . Attentive well trained staff who knew about the dishes so well done !

Terrific find, googled places to eat on a wet miserable Saturday in Bruton and loved the feel of The Old Pharmacy. A sister restaurant to Osip next door. Immediate warmth and welcome on entering and easy to enjoy the atmosphere , shown to our table in the corner amongst the relaxed Saturday diners . We had pre-booked which I strongly recommend , our reservation was for 12.30 and the place was already full which was acknowledged as essential. Awesome food, great staff and such an enjoyable visit. Well done team Thank you .

Just charming - simple classics like caponata, carottes râpées and œufs mayonnaises, but all with brilliantly intense flavours. Lovely team led by Ed and small but imaginative and well-priced wine list. Perfect!

Very enjoyable meal. Sharing dishes are an interesting approach. The food was nicely presented, the service was attentive and the dining room is attractive. It was disappointing that some of the somewhat limited menu was not available even at 19.30. The wine was good but like the food, rather expensive. Nevertheless, we would definitely re-visit.

The location, ambiance and staff were great. However, the main reason for visiting a restaurant is to eat good food and we were left a little underwhelmed . The food was good but not great. Perhaps we set our sights too high but with this establishments DNA we expected more. The prices, especially the wine was on the expensive side.

This was my second lunchtime visit - last time about the same time of year a year ago. I am local. For the second time my impression was lovely ambiance etc but surprisingly poor value and extremely limited choice - for anyone gluten-intolerant specifically today, one choice - French onion soup. The latter was served in small, standard catering size bowls with the addition of a single small toasted cheese slice of bread “crouton” (only for the non-gluten intolerant, obviously). The other options were both sandwiches of various kinds. With such a restricted offering I would expect at least a delicious and generous serving of - whatever. The soup was pleasant enough but, I have to say, nothing special. The wine was good. The bill for 3 people (3 x soup and a bottle of wine) was £75. I wasn’t shocked because I had been shocked been the time before. Conclusion; not aimed at a local clientele. I feel this is not defensible as local overheads do pertain in Bruton, so why?

The Old Pharmacy is a gorgeous restaurant with gorgeous people and gorgeous food. It reminds me of dinner at my favourite aunts house, cosy and relaxed. It has a farm to fork ethos which is something Somerset lacks given it is the heart of agriculture. Each dish carries its own narrative and the flavours are extraordinary.

First visit. Very disappointed. Popped in for coffee and sandwich. Guy who served me was so stressed out really spoilt the experience. I get being busy but be professional. Didn't even ask what coffee I wanted, just given one. Really wanted to leave!

Our first visit to the restaurant. Lovely tasting food. Limited menu but we enjoyed the simplicity of what was on offer. The vegetable starter, trout and porchetta mains were our favourite. Very tasty indeed. Lovely wine and coffee to end. Our only disappointment was that the room was freezing. The curtain divide wasn’t working, it was left open quite a lot and as more guests arrived. The freezing draft continued to blow into the dining room. We didn’t feel comfortable. Brrrrr Please heat up the room with a suitable sized heater to make it cosy. Our first experience would have been much more pleasurable. Thank you. Seating was cold too - suggesting to have cushions. Blankets or something to help.

What a super relaxed place with amazing food. Designed to be ordered as small plates for sharing, using local fresh produce which then dictates the menu. Lovely evening, super staff and excellent food!

Got there for early dinner as it's popular and we hadn't booked. Very pleasant staff and on the ball. Tables and chairs are very 1950's, so not that comfortable. Tables small. Funky and with good atmosphere. It serves mainly 'starters' even for the 'main' course for sharing. They said that everything was fresh, though the courses aren't that large. We had desert as we were still a bit hungry. Added up to £74 with two small glasses of wine and service. £50 would perhaps seem more appropriate.

Had gone to Castello Yeovil for the first time as a big group with 4 kids. Sorry to say I am disappointed with the overall experience. Waiter service was poor. He was very impatient, not friendly at all and we could know from his face that he was not so interested to take the order. Hospitality needs to be improved a lot. Food was average in taste, but costly. Tiramisu was good. Ambience was ok.
