Great place for high tea! You need to try it out!

This was a wonderful hotel. It's located in a quiet neighbourhood, about ~25-35min away (depending on the traffic) from downtown Toronto. Our room was pretty and clean. Plenty of storage too. Staff were respectful. Parking was tricky. Please visit the front desk to check in, and they will inform you where their free parking is! The only issue I had was that the shower was loud for some reason. It made this low groaning sound when I turned it on. Other than that, it was a great experience!

We always stay at the Old Mill when in Toronto. I just want to mention to please stop getting the Nespresso stuff. We like the regular coffee makers as most people do because we can have decaf and also tea. Many people can't stand Nespresso. Stop it. Also the t.vs need upgrading. We watching a strip on the screen as the Aspect feature to change the picture to a regular size is not available on the clean remotes. Your t.v.;s need upgrading badly and please think about getting satellite instead of cable. If you get Nespresso in every room rather than what you have now, we will break with tradition and find another hotel to stay in after 20 years. I strongly recommend grab bars in the bathroom.

Cannot comment on rooms because I did not stay at Old Mill Hotel. The reason for my visitation is for a wedding. The hotel has a beautiful ambiance and architecture. There's a lot of places you can take photos especially in the garden with fountains. The staff are very friendly; however, some employees had some problem providing guidance to my friends and I. We were provided with wrong direction to the wedding Garden. Almost was late for the wedding ceremony. The food was fabulous. Overall is a great experience.

This is a really cute hotel in a more residential neighborhood. The building itself is very well designed and decorated. It holds historic value and can be rented for parties and weddings. There is no restaurant on site except for the bar and room service. If you walk about 20 minutes you will be able to find food. We had the room service breakfast which was honestly mediocre and not worth the price, but at the same time it was nice to eat breakfast in bed. They upgraded our room which was also a pleasant surprise and were able to give us a late check out and hod our bags until 5 pm.

The place as nice but haveing to pay for parking was ridiculous.

Old world charm and lots of food. Kind had a European quality to it. I loved the cheese plate after dinner. The space is big and way to much to see.

The Old Mill Hotel did not live up to our expectations. The rooms themselves were fine, bed clean and comfortable. However the bathroom had ants. Our air conditioning was stuck on heat, turning it down seemed to have no effect. The view outside our room was a literal trash pile in the picture below. The carpet was covered in clear crystals that stuck to our socks and luggage. And finally when checking in we parked at the lot labeled OLD MILL and got a ticket by the time we got the actual parking instructions. Would not recommend.

This is one of the most beautiful picturesque hotels I’ve ever seen. It’s not new, but just beautiful with an obvious great deal of work put into it.

Went to Old Mill for Easter Saturday dinner. An incomparable experience. Friendly and attentive service, and the food at the buffet is tip top notch.

Very tastfully decorated. Had a lovely soak in the jacuzzi tub with my spouse. Really made staying in our room extra special. I will definitely be returning in the warmer month to have a walk around the garden.

Heard about them for a long time and finally decided to give their Sunday brunch hugger a try. Dishes are plenty and mostly good. I would skip the hit dishes as the fish is too well cooked, the sausages hard and the beacon are too fatty. The salads are great, the seafood is good and the ham steak is too good to miss. The desserts are plentiful and mostly good as well. Note that there are a lot of senior patrons, so one has to be careful and patiently await your turn.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful grounds

Hotel area is very nice and is in a very beautiful area. Lots of places to walk around and entertain yourself while looking at beautiful views just outside the hotel. Though the restaurant inside the hotel is nice food and service is mediocre as well as very expensive prices. Overall I would give this place 3 stars.

A wonderful hotel, with amazing staff that’s extra courteous to make our stay for the weekend as comfortable as possible, we had family kids visiting from BC and staying at the house with our kids for a gaming weekend so me and the wife decided to leave for alone time for the weekend and decided the old mill hotel, and wow did they make our stay feel like a 5 star hotel feeling. Definitely deserve the credit and if in need, will definitely be returning and recommending

Nicely calming complex in the middle of all the hustle and bustle Toronto is! Great setting, decor, large rooms, fireplace, wonderful food, and romantic feel, you get it all at this place. Attended the New Year's party, entertainment was great, food delicious from many choices to satisfy any preferences, wish could stay extra day!

Cozy hotel with an old world charm. Has different rooms for parties and conferences. Easily accessible by Bloor street or Old Mill subway. Hotel service is excellent.

Awful Christmas Eve dinner experience. Outdated decor, poor service, cheap furniture, really bad wine, mediocre food. It was like sitting in the food court at Eaton Centre. Unreal given the cost of tickets to attend.

We had the festive brunch and it was good. Had a good time. Ambiance was great and the food was awesome. Maybe a live cooking station will be a great addition but it is still good as it is. The neighborhood was great for pictures as well.

Be aware of the hidden fees, I got a second bill of daily "Hospitality fees" that were not disclosed down the road. They explained it was for things like parking and Wi-Fi. Building was 25°....

I'm the event coordinator for a three day retreat at the Old Mill, and the seasoned, finely tuned staff at the Old Mill has my highest respect. From the unflappable Elaine to the highly organized Rita and her sales team, the talented and detail oriented Diana, not to mention the constantly multi tasking room captains Alex, Wilma and Dimitri who catered to every shifting, on the fly request, and not to forget my AV hero Shalin - I can't say enough good things about how this well oiled machine functions. The meals, btw, were on point, every single guest, no matter how outlandish their dietary restrictions, was fussed over and accommodated. Highly recommend for your next event. Hats off to the entire staff, front and back of house, who made me look really good.

One of the hidden gem in city of Toronto where one needs to enjoy at least once. This venue is loaded with nature's beauty around and one can enjoy nice half day exploring it while have delicious food at the hotel. There are various spots to do photograph sessions if one interested. There are enough rooms to stay if planning for any event while there are few halls if want to enjoy private parties. The staff is well trained, efficient, prompt service and smiling courteous service. The parking is also enough and extra lots available nearby. Overall it's perfect venue to explore.

A piece of history, love walking around the grounds... very posh

Had a nice three night stay here. Clean, comfortable room with a good bed and tub. I was disappointed in the housekeeping while there. I'd asked for them to come every morning, but cancelled on the first morning. Had been looking forward to returning to a fresh room after a long day of work, and instead found zero service or replenishment. The night manager, Michael was outstanding and helped solve a problem that came up.

Went for the buffet. It was great. If you don't dip a full slice of cheesecake in the chocolate fountain that's because your a coward and should buck tf up.

Just getting there was chaotic. A number of functions being held at the same time. Parking is at a premium. The interior of the building was clean an well maintained. That was my first time being, doubt whether or not I will go again.

Was there for a Mother's Day brunch, prior to that I hadn't been for almost 40 years. It has retained it's old world charm and the staff was extremely friendly.

Excellent buffet and the setting is very historic

Extremely comfortable rooms with fabulous old world atmosphere and up to date amenities for all purposes. We met a family group inside our small suite and found everything we needed to entertain ourselves. A marvelous visit which we would certainly repeat.Laurel Woodrow 😀

Time to do a major deep clean, reno in the main dining / dance area. The buffet is lacking something special that draws in the younger generation, IMO. However, my family has been coming to Old Mill for 70+ years, and it's always nice to come back with my eldery family members and hear all the fun they had at The Old Mill.

Rooms look tired and the bed was uncomfortable. Restaurant is great but only open 3 days a week. East access to subway.

Peaceful and lovely place. The front desk people are so nice. The in room jacuzzi fits two and is wonderful. Will definitely come back again for a nice respite when needed.

Front desk staff was extremely friendly and chatty. A glitch in the system missed a request in the room and the staff pulled together and still made it accomodating with less than 24 hours notice. The bartender was super friendly and made a mean blue lagoon! The atmmosphere was so charming, romantic and beautiful. A quaint beautiful castle nesteled in the big city. We have already named this our romantic getaway spot for many moons to clme

Brunch buffet was better than what I expected. Many options and not so crowded. We paid 45$/ person plus tax and I think that is very good price. Suitable for family and group of friends. I will come back summer and will try their high tea menu.

I love this place, it's beautiful with it's antique furniture and ambiance. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The food was good too, we has some wraps and tea :)

This was my first visit after a long break to the Jazz series at the Old Mill. Beautiful quaint setting, reminded me of the old time Jazz clubs with the dim lighting on the tables. It was an excellent performance; enjoyed two long sets with great music. My wife and I ordered a bottle of wine which I found very reasonably priced for the quality. The charcuterie board was a fantastic presentation. The main menu offers were what you would expect from such a venue. We saw so many different choices served at different tables, it was a nice surprise. We saw some familiar faces and appreciate that their is still a place like this in Toronto where good Jazz music can be appreciated. The service was good and attentive, the food was tasty and Jazz night is awesome. I cannot wait to return next week.

I had such an amazing experience, the staff is highly professional and friendly. Rooms was clean and Jacuzzi was amazing. There is a beautiful trail near by for a good walk and beautiful view. However, if you are going for a massage, I do not recommend the relaxation massage, not worth it. I honestly wasn't that pleased with spa service.

Like a fairytale, love to go there in any season. Now with the snow covering the garden like sugar powder it is a fantasie ❄

I really enjoyed the room and the overall ambiance of the historic building. The room was tastefully designed and very comfortable. Unfortunately the bar and restaurant were closed but that was due to regulations. The room service dinner was good, but the breakfast was excellent! If you are looking fora local getaway this is an amazing option!

Good service and friendly staff. Rooms need to be updated especially the bathrooms. The bathroom would do better with larger showers and instead of the Old jacuzzi tub a nice soaker tub would give it elegance and functionality. Very comfortable beds

A charming spot for continental food. Attentive service, wide selection. Will the food blow you away with its creativity? Probably not, but you'll find lots of old favourites.

Nice hotel however if your hotel is empty on New year's Eve you might want to recheck your pricing, I paid 470 for a average room. I recieved a view of the highway even though so many other rooms were available. The next morning breakfast was not included. Looks like there's an issue with the ownership here. If you want to pay a lot for medium value then this is your spot, if not go to a major chain where they know how to throw in a couple of muffins and coffee the next morning to make you feel like your money was worth it.

Beautiful building, and awesome food! I was there for dinner Christmas day. The roast beef was the best I've ever had (which says a lot). As a nurse, I appreciate how strict they are with controlling the number of people entering the buffet, and ensuring people sanitize their hands and don 2 disposable gloves. The wait staff were very attentive and kind. They ensured parties were seated further away, following physical distancing. We were seated at a corner away from others, but close to the buffet, which was really nice.

Always excellent, great sense of occasion, in a one of a kind location. Buffet choice is vast and high quality, the staff work very hard to give all customers a meal to remember

We alays have our annual pre-Christmas brunch/dinner at Old Mill Inn. Always a hit to adults and the kids, tho i wished they have their photo booth set up for this year.

I give 5 stars because Unlike most hotels AC in Old Mill works silently. You can adjust your desired temperature with absolute no noise pollution. This hotel has beautiful Cozy clean rooms with relaxing ambiance. Unlike other hotels, no business stressful people would run up and down. I suggest the luxury room with king size bed and jacuzzi but the standard rooms are the same minus jacuzzi and extra space. I could stay there forever.

My friends and I tried the High tea experience, everything was very tasty and the service incredible! The only thing was the timing... 2 hours weren't enough to eat, chat and enjoy all the different flavors.

Stayed for two days, absolutely phenomenal time. Hotel is stunning as is the surrounding area. The bartender at the Home Smith bar is amazing. Will without question be back.

The buffet option for brunch is too expensive and the offerings and quality are not the best. If you're going to charge that much you better up the quality and the presentation of the food. It won't be on my list of places to return anytime soon

The Old Mill is super customer-focused and they always go out of their way to make sure that everyone is extremely happy with their service.

I have had the Old Mill in my life since I was born. Showers, weddings, dinner and spa, we always came here, even had my wedding here. The customer service was always average up until my last transaction. Old Mill was supposed to host a Christmas Market Last year which was canceled because of Covid. An email was then sent saying a new even would be planned in the future, coincidently just outside the 'eventbrite' refund period. No event was made and no further correspondence was made. Upon contacting the venue for the past few months, I have gotten the run around for a refund. If an event is canceled, the money should be refunded or a credit given. People shouldn't have to Juno through hoops to get this. I still haven't received any word and no one seems to return my calls or emails. I was also just told today that the money mat have been donated. This is fraud. You cannot take funds from your paying customers and donate to receive a tax break. As someone who opened up a business ess months before covid and was hit with many difficulties as NEW BUSINESS, we returned all monies for clients who had prepaid for events which had to be canceled, it was the right thing to do. I am really appalled on how such a Toronto Institute and pong standing business would treat their customers. Hopefully people think twice before supporting this venue.

Beautiful hotel - feels like an European cottage getaway! Really nice place for wedding and other ceremonies. Establishment is well maintained and has good service. I just wish there was something connecting the event hall to the hotel, as I had to walk on the street to get back and forth each time.

The selection is tea is pretty great, I tried the masala chai and really liked it. The over all ambience and the experience is very wonderful. We were seated in a room with a fire place and the set up looked gorgeous. In terms of snacks, I wasn't a big fan of the desserts as they seemed very underwhelming in taste, however the scones and chicken sandwich were to die for! They had smoked salmon on a rye toast but the smoked salmon rose was too big and chunky when compared to the size of the toast and cream cheese. May be add some capers to it or reduce the size of the salmon rose as it seemed off balanced.

Really nice event rooms. Historical and secluded atmosphere. Nice chapel for wedding ceremonies. Great outdoor space as well. Definitely a place to consider your next event.

Need to create better wheelchair access to washrooms. The mother of the groom had to be taken by the kitchen elevator to get to the nearest washroom. Shameful and embarrassing

Stone structure so of it over 100 years old. The people were great and the room was spacious and clean. They need to fix the elevator. What a place to have a wedding.

I had my bridal shower here in September 2021. The only reason I give it 4 stars is becasue the day off the servers that worked with me on my bridal shower were just amazing 👏. Just so quick and friendly. Leading up to planning my shower I was treated so badly. And it was all by management and event staff. My emails were ignored and my phone calls. It was outrageous. I was told I would get my room fee waived for over 2 years!!! (Of planningy shower with them? They did NOT honor that. It was all a bunch of lies. I would never recommend to plan an event with them. It was the hardest and most unpleasant experience. They had almost ruined my dream of having high tea. At the old mill. ( which was the only reason i stayed with them after being treated so poorly) i didn't think The Old Mill would ever have been the place to treat people like this. Especially being in the industry they're in! Thank God last minute Penny helped set up my shower for me and the servers helped make it a perfect day! .
