Stopped by for a quick drink and was pleasantly surprised. The community atmosphere, with people playing bridge together, gave the place a very wholesome feel. The staff were fantastic, and one of the chefs even greeted us, despite us not eating. Enjoyed watching plenty of live sports, including the unexpected treat of test cricket. We will definitely be back to try the mixed grill!

A brilliant pub, with a lovely atmosphere. The service was great and staff were very friendly. Food was amazing at a very competitive price point. You won't be disappointed, this pub will be my regular.

We had never tried the Engine before and agreed to give it a go as the Grills looked great. Ordered a collection and went to pick up.The people in the kitchen were lovely and helpful. Got home and was disappointed firstly with the Chicken Bhuna, not the taste but the size of container it was in, the smallest in depth you can get and was charged £7.50! For a large grill it wasn't that large, fish pakoras were very small and no onions either which you normally get with a sizzler. £18 a tad too much. Eating in may be a completely different experience which we may try but not another take away I'm afraid.

The food is cooked fresh every time, so it is great ,the spice noodles are one of my favourite dishes, it's a great place to watch the sports YNWA..the service at the bar and restaurant are both spot on couldn't ask for better well done to all that work there 👍

Brilliant customer service and nice owners. We ordered the V10 mixed grill with naans and chilli chips. Everything was fresh and tasted good. Definitely recommend, especially the chicken lollipops 😃. Really good value for money!!!

Love this place and the people but tonight's food was shockingly bad. Waited an hour for take away in relatively quite bar . Food was luke warm at best , mix grill 4 wings 3 sheek and 4 pieces of chicken £12. Bhuna wasn't a bhuna all chicken over cooked and dry. Must do better g uys

If you want a half decent pint this is the place. It's an old timers pub and so is the feel and atmosphere. Don't get me wrong it's clean and no trouble but nothing that shouts out I want to come again. FOOD is ok nothing to rave about just ok, good size dishes.

GO TO THE BRADFORD ARMS FOR CURRY!!! Ordered here the other day from uber eats when at a friend's house , the chike tikka was not cooked and nor was the chicken korma curry, called to complain and they said they would refund the order for £26 back to our account and they have refunded £0.29p? That's not a refund that's robbery , you made me ill and made my friends 7year old extremely ill and stole from us , I will be visiting the pub in person to speak to the head chef out the back as this is unacceptable , trading standards have been informed and the under cooked chicken has been collected by them in person

Excellent pub, amazing food, brilliant staff, beer is superb, sport on multi TV screens, a lovely way to spend an afternoon or evening. Highly recommend to all.

I am uber eats driver, I went to pick food there on Friday evening, food was ready but poor packages. Gravy was spilled all over inside the bag, I told them to please change the bag. He said ok and while he was transferring chicken tikka in another box then he dropped full portion of tikka on the floor. He put all the dirty chicken tikka in a box and told me to deliver it. I told him that I cannot deliver this food because he picked up from concrete floor. Then he threatened me that if I tell to customer about this incident then he will do my complaint to uber and they will terminate my uber account. It was delivery for Mark or Andy at centenary lane darlaston. 16:36 time and friday 18th 2020. I’ll advise to everyone stay away from this place, they put people’s life in risk in this pandemic by picking up food from floor.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! Went for early evening mixed grill and curry. Looked at the photo of online menu and thought £10 was a good price for large mix grill. When we got there we realised the image of menu was old and a large mix grill was £13.50 and the curry was more as well. When we walked in we were disappointed by the dated and poor decor. We do a lot of mix grills around the Wolves, Birmingham, Sandwell and Walsall area and have found some hidden gems that have not spent a great deal on the decor but have knockout food. Therefore, we thought we would give it a go. Our order came to £24 and we sat down. The place has a jukebox and the music was quite loud so we struggled with a conversation. We were slightly surprised when the food came out in just over 5 minutes. We took a few bites and straight away were hit with the putrid taste of reheated food. The chicken pieces were dry and hard; the lamb pieces were saturated with salt. We informed the chap behind the bar. He said he only worked there and told us to see the chef. We asked the chef for a refund or even partial refund because the food was bad. The tandoor behind him was obviously switched off. He said that it was impossible to freshly cook for customers because of time and it was only him by himself in the kitchen. He said that all the meals are precooked and microwaved to reheat. We told him that he had charged more than most other mix grill places in the area and all the others cook the food fresh. He simply was not interested, shrugged his shoulders and carried on with cleaning up. This place is the worst mix grill pub that we have visited in the West Midlands and we have tried many. Simply avoid this place. I suspect the positive reviews are made up because most of the 5 star reviews have only ever left 1 review..this place.

AVOID THIS PLACE, spent £24 on large mix grill, lamb karahi and 2 naans, only 7 small pieces of lamb in karahi, very tasteless. Was the worst Mix grill iv ever had, so salty, over colouring, chewy, and tasted not fresh!! had a word with chef he confirmed it was all reheated in microwave. The decor was bad but I decided to try this ⁶ based on reviews, after personally trying I now know that the reviews are fake or wrote by people that dont know difference between freshly cooked and microwaved meal, would not recommend or return.

No real ale but the worthingtons ain't too bad . Tv's in pubs don't cut it for me but if you like to watch sport then youl be ok here on a Saturday afternoon Didn't try the food from the adjoined Resturaunt but it has a good reputation locally
