The Old Customs House - Tearooms in Northumberland

Visited the Old Customs House again. As ever it was good value for good food, including the two quiches and one chilli. As ever the service was fast and friendly, as well as providing plenty of space for my dog.

Excellent lunch, they were able to provide gluten free options and even had an amazing gluten free Coffee & Walnut cake. Service was great and such a lovely cosy place.

Been here a few times now for lunch or teas and coffee and scones. Everything about it is absolutely first class. Sandwiches and scones and cakes excellent. Service is tip top with a smile very good. An ideal spot to to have something to eat after a walk around the pier and harbour. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Can’t say enough great things about this place. If you have the chance to go do. The food and staff are fab. I’ll be visiting again very soon and I’m hoping they have quiche and lemon meringue on the menu!

waited for a table finaly got one but only had 30 mins on table as it was reserved so ordered meal for us both £30.70 later waited over 20 mins for the food to be brought to the table then the young girl on the till came over and said this table is reserved and i looked at her and said we are still waiting for the food ....oh she said then the chef brought the food out and told us the people who had reserved the table agreed to come back 15 mins later so we ate our dinner as fast as we could and left i dont think this is very good customer service i think the owners of this tea room need to put a time limit on how long people use the tables as there were a group of 4 people just sitting there chatting taking up a table not buying anything while paying customers are walking out as there are no tables or they are reserved for someone .....

Welcoming staff and clean dining facilities. Portions very good and quality of food and drinks was excellent. Dog friendly and treats available 🐾🐾

Fabulous place for coffee and cake. Wonderful atmosphere with gentle jazz music in the background and friendly staff also very welcoming to dogs.

Quaint and welcoming spot for a cup of tea and slice of cake . Popped in after a walk on the beach - dog friendly as well which is great. Enjoyed tea and a slice of lemon cake - generous portion,as well as super tasty. Will revisit when next In the area.

Have just discovered this cafe, and what a find!. Excellent food, good service, very friendly atmosphere. And we could have taken the dog!. Looking forward to another visit.

Been here twice now breakfest and dinner fantastic experience great food polite staff and such a lovely experience atmosphere I will defo be visiting again in the future and the cakes were lush highly recommend for people to visit here as well as dog friendly 😀

We visited on a Saturday and had tea/ coffee and cake. The Victoria sponge was delicious and homemade. We live locally and will definitely be back to try out more cakes!

Having just moved to Amble I decided to try this lovely tea room for lunch. I had the most delicious panini with lots of side trimmings. Staff were lovely. Think this will become my new local

Was on our way back to our cottage for lunch when we saw that they had quiche. We decided to try it and were so glad we did. Quiche was the best we've ever had and accompanying salad was fresh and tasty. Priced well and friendly staff. Not enough seating inside and out, people were leaving as nowhere to sit.

It was a cold and windy day at the Amble Sunday market,so we decided to get out of the bad weather and have a coffee and snack,,,, well the tuna melts came out all three of them they looked beautiful with salad crisps etc . Three very clean plates we'll be back 👍

We had a friendly meet up here one morning. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The iced latte was made perfectly. We had toast and scones which were just right.

The most delicious fruit scones and hot chocolate served by very friendly people. Highly recommend.
