If you like a traditional pub, then you will love this place, lovely genuine Tudor style decor, two fire places etc, staff who have a smile and really look after you, good selection of ale, great home cooked food at reasonable prices,, privately owned pub and not another nasty chain pub, great for couples, families and solo travellers, all are warmly welcomed at the Old Bell. If in the area, it’s the best pub for miles!

Lovely old pub with very friendly locals. We booked in at 2.30pm on Sunday. The Sunday roast (beef, turkey or gammon), cooked that day, was absolutely delicious and the helpings generous! Equally delicious was the puds! Another plus is that's very dog friendly but the lack of real ales is disappointing!

In Watton and came by chance. What a find! Loved the atmosphere. Arrived Thursday. Steak night. Served 6 to 8. Ribeye to die for and the Chilli Con Carne was delicious. Great prices too! The Steak night included at drink in the price! Staff were lovely and helpful. Went to the hotel full! Thanks so much.

Bit noisy seems to be more of a drinking pub rather than a place to eat and chill. Having said that, I had a good time with friends.

Went into the Old Bell Thursday 21st Dec 2023 in the Evening & had a Lovely Meal Rump Steak chips onion rings tomatoes peas absolutly Delicious,Had a Few drinks to,Thoroughly Enjoyed it Especially sitting by the Woodburner Real Cosy,Went with a friend & met my sister there,Great Atmosphere Real Nice Landlord & Bar staff Nothing to much Trouble All Very Friendly & Welcoming Looking forward to my next Visit!Well done to you all,Have a Great Christmas & All the Best for the New Year!Stephen Moses.

We have recently moved to Saham Toney and The Old Bell is the life and soul of the village. We enjoyed the Halloween fancy dress last night with the live music, great atmosphere, friendly people and relaxed pub. The homemade food is delicious, the Sunday carvery is top quality and the homemade cheesecake is lush! Highly recommend 😋👌🏻❤️

Poor menu, okay for a cafe not a pub/restaurant. Chips not cooked properly, burger like cardboard no tast. Wife asked for Gamon, she was served cold ham! We use to eat here regularly before covid and the food was very good. We won't be going back.

Used to do nice Sunday roast. But went on a Thursday steak night. Had what they call rib eye. But looked and tasted like frying steak . Side salad was a bowl of peas. Then they actually made me pay £35 for us both. So disappointed. So will not be going back. Stick to pulling pints

A very good little pub. Service was really great,decor etc was in keeping with a country pub. The food we had was ample,well cooked,good choices. We really enjoyed it and look forward to dropping inn again!!

We went to funeral wake there they were very busy but nothing was too difficult for them thank you.

As a local this is the least local pub that exists……5 times I’ve been here now and every time you’re stared at, treaters like a foreign entity and told you’re this and that. Land lady tried to burn my jumper for fun, will never visit again. Arrogance and ownership does not make you better than everybody else. Worst pub ever visited tried time and time again

We live in the village but don’t go out to pubs for meals. But we decided to have a light lunch to celebrate my wife’s birthday, today. Welcome warm ambiance on a Tuesday’s lunchtime. Excellent service from Sharon and fast delivery of our dishes à la carte. Well cooked, fresh and nicely presented on big plates with perfect quantity and quality for a pub’s hot lunches. And pretty great prices too! Thank you Sharon and the Chef in the kitchen.

I usually have a good meal at the Old Bell. Arranged for my family to have Sunday lunch there this weekend and was very disappointed. Beef tough. Veg watery and tasteless. Meal not up to the usual standard. Such a shame as the staff were friendly and helpful.

Went in garden nothing for family's .No food during week which was not good as we wanted lunch . People not wearing masks walking in didn't see hand gel till we left as didn't see any in garden . Won't be visiting again .

Lovely little pub with good and friendly service and beautiful beer garden with a nice big beer tent for those rainy days. Had their pizzas from here more than once and they've been bang on every single time. Would definitely recommend this pub to anyone thinking about going there.

Lovely traditional old pub, had Sunday roast, food and ales were top knotch

Went for a Sunday carvery with family including children/baby. Nice warm atmosphere with real fire, proper English country pub. Lovely great quality drinks at a good price, and good service. Booked for 1:30pm as the carvery finished at 2pm. Was a bit concerned when walked in as appeared just remains of meat and veg, however there was just enough meat and they re-stocked the veg etc. The beef was some of the best I’ve had, perfectly cooked and very tender. The gravy was to die for, and the veg, Yorkshire and stuffing all good. Also had some very nice deserts. Amazing value at £11 for 2 courses! Would definitely recommend, just maybe a bit earlier to ensure get the meat choice you want (Turkey, Beef, Pork or Gammon).

Visited last night for the first time, warm and welcoming, excellent real ale , Abbot, personal favourite, my friend had Wherry and commented it was excellent too, and he used to run a pub. Fitted out as a traditional pub wth a great atmosphere. Good value too. Looking forward to the next visit.

They make fresh pizzas stonebaked every thursday,friday,saturday and sunday, £8.50 for 3 toppings with no extra cost for the toppings. The pizza is always pretty big and enough for 2 people to share. It also tastes amazing. Would recommend trying it 100%
