After many takeaways recently it’s nice to sit down and enjoy the restaurant once again. One of the best restaurants in Rothwell

I’m ashamed to say that despite living in Desborough for the last 7 years, tonight I tried the old bank for the first time, but the jokes on me as myself and a work colleague have just had a great meal and we’re both raving about the place when we left. Great food, nice setting, staff were friendly. Couldn’t have been better. It won’t be 7 years before I return I promise.

Excellent place for meals. I went with my family to celebrate my birthday and was surprised by the quality of the food and the great service.

Food is lovely and also served very hot. Lots of offers on the menu and a good range of food and drinks.

I can’t say anything bad about this place everything about it just amazing , The customer service is on top , The food is amazing , And the staff are the best .

We went to spend our 7 year anniversary here last night and wow what a great night. This place is faultless it was a busy night and still no large waiting times and the service was amazing the food out of this world. I highly recommend the halloumi and mushroom yoghurt kebab and my partner says the pancake chicken is one of the best meals he has had. Thank you all amazing work

We went here on a Thursday evening and it was busy, the food is definitely the reason why. It was so nice. Service was quick and they really make an effort to ensure you have drinks etc. I had the Buddha bowl with halloumi, picture below. It was so tasty and a decent portion, which I couldn’t finish. The meat my husband had was a decent quality and cooked well. Just a shame no lamb shish as I love that, but a good selection of food you can’t find elsewhere. Nice venue, clean, modern and I liked the nod to the bank.

I can't praise the old bank highly enough. From the moment you walk in, you are made to feel welcomed. The service is on point and the food is amazing!

One of our favourite restaurants, we go once a month on average. There is a reason it’s busy, and why takeaways are popular. I highly recommend The Old Bank, and we will continue being loyal customers I am sure. Great food and service, and our guests always comment how great it is too.

I had a thoroughly good meal from the Christmas menu, especially the meatball starter, which was gorgeous!

Food was amazing!!!!! (Once received) we waited ages for our starters to then find out that they hadn't been put through. Once it was realised I would say that they came out very quickly and then so did the mains.

The old Bank has been recommended to me so many times, we visited for our wedding anniversary & were not disappointed! There was a little wait for the food, but it was busy & all freshly cooked, so didn't mind! Fantastic food & very tasty!

Oh my God you guys have GOT to try this place. It's been a long time since we've had a mean for a group that can only be described as an experience. Excellent service, amazing location, lovely atmosphere and above all, amazing food. They also have a large vegan menu. I guarantee you will not leave disappointed.

The building is beautiful but that's about it. The bucket chairs are not suitable for any bum over a size 14 so not size inclusive. The service was mediocre at best. The food was promising but did not deliver on taste or portion size, an absolute pile of tasteless rice/ bulgar wheat and very dry main. The "mixed veg" was a mushroom, an onion and a green pepper... And the falafel was like no other falafel I have ever had and not in a good way.As a foodie this meal upset me. we did make our feelings clear at the time but they were not really taken in. Will not be returning.

Lovely building, good atmosphere, great food. Highly recommended. Would be even better if pitta bread or flatbread was available too.

Website shows it as half price for takeaways but on arrival they said it was only on eat in which is 50% more expensive. We’d have opted for somewhere else if we’d have known beforehand.

I kept hearing how great the atmosphere is there and it’s true the place filled up quickly even on a Thursday night, the place was buzzing with energy, the food was amazing, and the hostess/waitress was a total pro, can’t wait for payday I will be back!! xo

We have been to The Old Bank numerous times over the last 5 years or so and usually come a few times per year for special occasions. It has always exceeded expectations in terms of taste and quality and you are always met with a warm friendly service.

A lovely meal in great surroundings. Love a meze! So great to be able to get so many different tastes.

I really enjoyed our visit to the Old Bank yesterday. The decor was modern, I love the bank vault you see upon entry, and there was a very busy and lively atmosphere. The food was faultless - we shared mezzes to start, baked houmous, garlic mushrooms and falafel. The baked houmous was so creamy and tangy and the mushrooms were delicious. I could have eaten a whole plate of that alone. I had a salad bowl and my partner had the aubergine bake for mains and we both very much enjoyed them, my salad was fresh and filled with sliced onion, tomato, olives and chickpeas, it was delicious. The staff were really attentive and saw to us quickly, they also were knowledgeable on allergens as we asked about dairy free options and were informed quickly about what we could eat. On a Friday night you might struggle a bit to find parking, we did, but did manage to park a little further away eventually. We will certainly be going back, and would recommend to those who love Mediterranean cuisine.

Fantastic Mediterranean takeaway! We should have taken photos but we inhaled the kebabs! That Tzatziki 👌👌 The staff are so lovely and kind, we will definitely eat in next time.

The starter of lamb kofta was tasty but was overcooked. I was quite disappointed with the main fish dish presentation may have been intended to look rustic but not appealing & again, overcooked & dry.

This is my favourite restaurant ever!!! All my family meals are planned here (pre Covid and hopefully post Covid) The staff are so lovely & attentive! Nothing is too much trouble. The food is soooo yummy!!! Highly recommend and always talk to anyone who will listen about this place. Takeaways are yummy too and also seem to be hot when I get it home still.

Wouldn’t let us sit at an empty and unbooked table for 4 because we were a two. Had a sit on the sofa and eat whilst there was a completely empty table in front of us. Hardly checked on us too.

Having never eaten Mediterranean food before I was pleasantly surprised, tasty dishes that are not loaded in spice (unable to eat spicy foods is why I've avoided Mediterranean), we have had the takeaway Meat Box for 2 twice now and it's delicious, rice is the best I've ever tasted. Can't wait to eat in the restaurant when it reopens

Very average food that didn’t really go well together, would suggest getting a mixed dish which is all on one plate with a sauce to tie it all together. The service was not very good - they all seemed to not be in a very good mood. Given this 2 stars as the meal was filling due to quite a lot of grease. The building itself was very nice and impressive, just a shame the food and service didn’t match :(
