Very small downstairs bar with extra seating upstairs . Excellent beers served. On my visit they had a large selection of cheese, chutney and biscuits on over. Lady behind the bar was lovely, think she was the owner. No point going anywhere else in Morpeth. Fantastic.

Found this by accident on way back to our accommodation. Really good to have range of small batch ciders and craft beer. Went for a recommended cider from one of the customers. Excellent. Wife went for stout again Excellent taste. Big fuss made of dog. Had to go back again tonight. Excellent cosy atmosphere.

A great find for real ale enthusiasts, plenty of hand pulls on offer serving a good range of ales, popular with the locals. Beer well served but be warned there's not much space inside, they do have outdoor seating available. Also they are dog friendly.

The Office is an absolute must for those genuine Ale and Cider lovers. The selection of local produce is fantastic. We also loved how quaint and small this pub is, which makes it a really intimate and quirky setting. It’s off the beaten track but so glad we came across it. We can’t wait to go back - five stars.

Great beers, lovely courtyard! Had a lovely almasty here. Great selection. Wylam, Rigg and Furrow, Two by Two, Flying Gang and Almasty. Lovely owner too. Particularly nice in summer in the courtyard, given it is quite tiny inside! Only suggestion is it could be modernised/brighter inside.

Fantastic micropub! Great beers, great people, great atmosphere, and great prices! The best pub by far for miles! Andrea is exactly the sort of person you need to run a pub like this: dedicated to the quality of the beer and customer service. Discovered this place on Saturday; they had a perfectly kept Two by Two, which won me over immediately! Cannot recommend this little jewel highly enough. Will be back, with friends, as soon as possible.

It does not surprise me that the walls of this establishment are covered in awards. It deserves all of them. It’s hard to imagine a warmer welcome from staff and patrons anywhere. A very broad range of beer and cider hand pumps fill the counter offering a selection that must suit all tastes. Knowledgeable staff help you narrow down your choice and local regulars greet and entertain you as if you have been going to the pub for years. I can’t wait to return to this gem of a pub.

Now called The Toll House it looks very different from its previous incarnation. While I absolutely loved The Office, this is less of a CAMRA heaven and more of a relaxed bar with tasteful decor where you can enjoy a pint, some wine or a nice cocktail. Run by nice people keen to get it right.

We had driven past several times while visiting the area, my husband is a cider drinker so was being drawn in, after a meal Saturday night we called in, very welcoming, great that it is dog friendly as a lot of people go up north with their dogs for the great walks and they are not welcome inside everywhere, only problem is the size of the place, very compact, pop up bar, great choice drinks.

Superb little bar, really friendly. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the dogs; too many, and because they were allowed to lay over the (restrictive) floor they were an accident risk. Even the dog owners should have had more concern for their dogs welfare. I think this needs thinking through. Is this wonderful bar intended for us humans or dogs?

The food is up to standard. The prices are just a little tiny bit high. £27 quid for takeaway fish chips, large mushy peas, scampi and a fish cake, some sauces... It's good but It's Not the cheapest. It either needs to be the very best... And it's not far off it.... Or cheaper to be the best value. This is only my opinion. And I would definitely still eat there again, Just more often if it was a tiny bit cheaper.

Had the pleasure of spending our 5th wedding anniversary here recently. The whole experience from start to finish was exceptional. The grounds and hotel are beautiful, the staff were friendly and professional. We were lucky enough to upgrade our room to one with a hot tub on arrival. The room was well appointed and spotless. We had our evening meal in The Tempus. The blackpudding scotch egg was delicious and thr fillet steak was cooked to perfection. We had a few of the signature cocktails to accompany the meal. In the morning we had breakfast, it was a lovely selection and the poached eggs were fantastic. This is a must stay if you are in the area. Well worth the three and a half hour drive to get there. Thank you.

Absolutely love the pies from here but not sure if the opening hours listed are correct? Google and Facebook say the shop is open Sundays, 9am-2pm. I've travelled up to Amble, arrived at 11:45am and the shop appears to be locked. A couple others have appeared and left too. No note on the door to say otherwise, have tried to call too. Disappointed as the pies are excellent and I've travelled 30mins to get here. Will try again in the future.

Walked in as a customer was grumbled at about food maybe taking 40mins. Which at lunch time with great weather on the island it’s to be expected. But the way the staff grumbled it wasn’t friendly and made it like people coming in were a burden. So we avoided interacting with them and left. But would love to come back as it looks great and dog friendly.
