Ive been coming here for years and I must say never again will I buy any food. Food was cold and when i was served he was very rude and ignorant I told him to keep the food without a refund. Disgusting and never again

I'll start by saying that I've been coming to the fortne cookie for years and never had any problems yesterday me and the wife decided to get something on the way home me chicken and black been sauce wife chips rice curry sauce when we got home chips were under cooked hard in the middle chicken black been i could not eat far too spicy after 3 bits of chicken my tongue was on fire wife said the same about the curry sauce ended up throwing the whole lot in the bin would normally take it back but it's a 20 min drive

Excellent Chinese takeaway with very good prices. We’ve had lots of takeaways from Fortune Cookie and it’s always the go to. Love the lunchtime menu portions. Always have salt & chilli chips and a chicken curry as they are favourites. But we do have some other dishes to share which are just as good. You don’t wait long for your order or phone it in and it’s always ready on time for you collecting.

Don't be fooled by the appearance, this is an absolute hidden gem!! Located in the car park next to Carlisle park in Morpeth this Chinese van is super tasty, at lunch time you get all in one dishes for £4 which is a great shout for a picnic! I recommend the satay the most but have also had the curry and the Cantonese before

Visited April 2024. Lovely food and served quick. Everything nice and fresh. The only thing I’d like for the shop to do is to mention it costs extra to have the sides (chips/rice) separately mentioned somewhere on the menu. It works out a bit of a pain if you’re not expecting it! The price of the same meal can fluctuate by £1 or so. I’ve no idea why, but I’ve heard other people say this.

We tried this when in the local area. Highly recommend the garlic chili chicken. Super fresh ingredients unlike many Chinese takeaways. Only advice is to order a few dishes as the portions are smaller than usual which are reflected in the price, which is much better as you get to taste more 👊

Ordered from here at weekend it’s always been chocka everytime we’ve went past but was quiet because of cold weather Can only say it’s the best Chinese we’ve had that we can remember Everything even the prawn crackers were delicious For a little van in a carpark They put most Chinese restaurants to shame Can’t fault any of our meal

the service here was appalling, we have been ringing for 47 minutes and no one has picked up! I am so disappointed as i have been living in morpeth for nearly 10 years and this is the first time i went! I think there reputation is from 10 years ago!

Great place, so popular. They rarely have time to answer the phone. Doesn't matter though, only takes about 7 or 8 minutes for food, always good quality and price is way less than anywhere else I know. Easily feed 5 people on 25-30 quid. Don't be fooled though the quality is there.

Having only lived in Morpeth for 6 months, we put off getting Chinese/Cantonese food from a street van in a car park - what a mistake!! We thought we would try it out as there was always queues there so something must be good. We phoned our order in and collected 20 mins later, the food was hot, freshly made and absolutely yummy - the staff were extremely friendly and so well organised. We have been back quite a few times now and never been disappointed . Excellent !!

We come here every time we stay over in Northumberland . Excellent value and the food is very good. Can't recommend this place enough
