Great bar. It's just a shame that we were bothered several times by a drunk and rude man, apparently a regular here, who received NO reprimand from the waiter. We left.

Lovely pint of Beavertown Neck Oil. Haggis, Neeps and Tatties and Steak Pie (wife said the Gravy could have been thicker).

Came in for a quick pint and met Michael behind the bar. 3 hours and 3 pints later we've had the most amazing food and such a good time. Thanks Michael

Never been in the Oban Inn before, atmosphere was amazing, warm friendly, Calor Gas fire on, bartender was on point and helped out my Moi with her drink choice, one of those pubs you wish you stumble on, and I have, 100% good job Oban Inn, will be back again.

Marianne (the female manager working on February 8th, 2025, around 3 PM) is possibly the least accommodating person I’ve ever encountered—ironic for someone in the service industry, isn’t it? Upon entering the Oban Inn, we found the downstairs area crowded and, disappointingly, not showing the sport we had come to watch. We quickly moved upstairs, where we ordered and paid for drinks and bar snacks from the lovely gentleman serving there. However, after a short wait for our order, we were abruptly informed that we couldn’t sit upstairs because we had a dog with us. (For context, our dog is a small whippet—extremely quiet and well-accustomed to being in pubs.) While we understand that rules are rules, there were no suitable seats downstairs, and the sport wasn’t even being shown—the very reason we had chosen the Oban in the first place. As a result, we were effectively forced to leave, having barely touched our food or drinks. The level of customer service was shockingly poor, and Marianne’s attitude was appalling. Someone in her position should be kind, friendly, and understanding, yet she was rude, abrupt, and completely unwilling to compromise.

Nice and welcoming staff whom fitted us in on New Year’s Eve without a booking for dinner. Good pub food and drinks with a smiling service.

Proper local pub, well worth a visit.

This is an old classic Scottish pub with a full bar, beer on tap and some bar food. Had had the mac-n-cheese with the optional garlic bread.

Absolutely loved this pub. We managed to squeeze in, as it was rammed full but that all contributed to the atmosphere with live music too. They have a fantastic selection of Whisky, which we enjoyed sampling. Would definitely go back when next in Oban.

A very busy pub in the heart of Oban that serves excellent good, the stake pies, cheese macaroni and chowder were particularly good. Good selection of beers and wines.

Food is good but compared to last year the quality wasn't the same. Well priced and very cosy which compensate a bit.

We only had drinks but a pleasant enough time out. but the staff could do with a lesson on how to engage with patrons.

Fantastic old pub in Oban (possibly my favourite in the town.) Fantastic ambience due to the decor, atmosphere and lighting. Great service too, the barman was most helpful on advising me where to get a curry! The Guinness was very nice. Lots of variety of whiskeys as you’d expect. Serves food. A nice atmosphere with very good gastronomy. A huge selection of whiskey invites you to try it or you can stay overnight in the hotel of the same name.

Unfortunately we missed the chance to eat here. However, the dishes on the other tables looked like very good pub food. The beer and whiskey selection is very good. There is something for every taste. The audience was diverse and the atmosphere was great.

Was great to experience a quintessential Scottish pub. We were fortunate enough to have a couple singing and performing traditional folk songs. Service was friendly. It's a small place and crowded quickly, but this just added to the cosy atmosphere

Quaint and authentic pub. Even as a foreigner, I felt more at home there within minutes than in many other pubs back home. Good selection of beers and whiskeys. Food good. You quickly came into contact with the guests. When a musician came with a guitar and everyone sang along, I didn't want to leave. This is how I imagine a real pub.

Oldest pub in Oban. Great atmosphere, met some lovely folk. Dog's welcome, and they have water and dog treats at the entrance. Friendly service from the bar staff. Live music upstairs.

One of my favorite bars in the world. The place just feels historic. Great backdrop for a Tennents and a dram or 3.

Fun pub experience. Only ordered whisky and beer. I went twice while visiting Oban. Downstairs is crowded and fun. There is also a more spacious bar on the second floor.

Great, busy pub for a drink when visiting. Can get full with tourists so may be difficult to get a seat.

At least we got in here to eat. Many places were booked up for days in advance mid week in October. Food was average. Why do restaurants in Scotland not offer lamb or salmon?? The salmon is always smoked.

Service was excellent, food was lovely,only complaint was one of staff on receiving tip of 3pounds said he could get a pix and mix or mixture for that nowadays,, not sure if he was joking

Has become my go-to pub when in Oban. Always a friendly, lively atmosphere any evening of the week. Beer is well kept and choice of cask ales changes. Staff are attentive and ensure the "guy from out of town' is served.

A great location inside and out. There are certainly cheaper beers, ciders and whiskeys in town, but it's the atmosphere that makes it. Not only tourists but also locals can be found here...

What can I say, the best whiskey I've ever drunk

A real Scottish pub atmosphere. That's what you'll find at the Oban Inn. What a pleasure to immerse yourself in this place, enjoying fish and chips (the best in Scotland) and a beer sitting on a comfortable bench. A warm place that I highly recommend. You just have to be lucky to find a place there.

Pub with the perfect Guinness 😍 In the small part on the ground floor with stone flooring and maps as wallpaper you can feel the atmosphere of a real pub and I preferred it to the lounge area on the upper floor which is much quieter. It also has an outdoor space overlooking the port. It is frequented by both locals and tourists.

All very good and with a familiar and welcoming environment.

The Fish & Lentil Soup can’t be beat. Fantastic! We had never tried haggis and with turnips & mash potatoes it was really good. We knew it was traditional Scottish dish & how it was made but it do taste good! The breaded Whitby scampi—-Skip it. That’s breaded minced tiny shrimp & cod or other whitefish but not enough to make a good mouthful unless you factor in the breading. Fellows next table had a huge steak pie & fish & chips & we were jealous. Prices are reasonable and service was fast & cordial. Lots of local folks & tourists hefting beer but tables opened up quickly. Clean, & good atmosphere. Yes we would go back.

Someone confused his brown rain jacket with my black Kilimanjaro rain jacket. Please bring it back and pick up your own by tomorrow, Tuesday, no later than 1:00 p.m. Thank you very much! I'll ask at 1:00 p.m. I'm glad there was only a pen in my jacket. In the strange jacket that was left behind there are many used tissues and 2 coins. Otherwise, the restaurant is absolutely recommended! Food and drink plentiful and good! I'll leave my phone number with the Oban Inn in case the jacket hasn't been returned by 1pm tomorrow. Later exchange may be possible. Thanks a lot.

We ate a very good steak pie in a very Scottish atmosphere.

A popular dog friendly pub overlooking the harbour in Oban. I visited with my family (my husband, three grown up children and my youngest child (7)) on a weekday evening while on holiday in the area. The staff were welcoming, accommodating and friendly despite being very busy. We chose to eat here and were not disappointed. The menu was typically 'pub classics' with a separate children's menu. While there is no parking on site, there is plentiful parking nearby along the harbour or in the town. This is payable up to 6pm when it is free.

I've been here a few times now when I'm in Oban, a nice pub with a good atmosphere.

Haggis, tatties and neaps with a whisky sauce. Absolutely beautiful. This is a very lovely little pub but don't let the small size fool you. They have extra seating upstairs. Lovely atmosphere and loads of good food on the menu. The macaroni cheese was also 10/10.

Excellent cozy bar! We stopped in and had drinks (wine and beer) and delicious food. The service was quick and friendly, and the temperature inside was comfortable! Loved the decor inside too! We will definitely be back! Food was the best!!

Typical Scottish pub, but cozy. Very friendly employees. Only outside is rarely cleared away and the shell ashtrays should also be cleaned every now and then.

Loved it! The beers were great, we also had the TV on to watch the Olympics, how were the music was just really loud, but other than that, fantastic pub!

My credit card number was stolen here yesterday and used for fraudulent charges in Oban and then London. Luckily my card company blocked a 400+ charge at a club in London. I was never charged for my food here but instead staff who took my card likely took down the card info. Food was excellent, stolen card number was not.

This place has ruined calamari for me! Legit the best calamari I have ever had and probably ever will! Still dreaming about it 🤤

Curry and lasagna were a hit. Only the coffee wasn't particularly good, but that can be forgiven. Location and prices are great and therefore definitely a recommendation!

This place was amazing the staff hands. Down nothing beats them. The management on other hand are not the best horrible to there staff gave them no social life and made them feel bad for having days off just watch out the smile is real from your servers too you but is actually angry towards the higher ups.
