Best breakfast I've had - Didn't need the "Centurion", as my wife gave me her black pudding! Sat outside chatting to the vintage motorcycle club, before driving off in our car (at least it's a Honda).

Fancied a run out over Hartside due to the very pleasant weather for New Year’s Eve. Obviously the cafe at the summit hasn’t been open for quite a while and it’s good to have a stop along the way. What a tremendous little cafe at Nook Farm. We called in and had the Centurion breakfast which was very tasty. It was reasonably busy and the staff were very friendly. We visited yesterday as we was holidaying in the area and I spotted this place on Google and thought its definitely worth the trip. First impressions was just as we'd expected a lovely farm style cafe in the middle of the country side surrounded by amazing views, luckily the weather was holding out so we could sit out and enjoy the picturesque surroundings. We ordered and only waited around 15-20 minutes for breakfast to arrive at the table, I went for the bigger breakfast at around £15 as you got 2 of each items a coffee and juice also toast, I thought it was a bit over priced but you don't get to eat breakfast in them surrounding everyday and the food is probably quality off local farms, unfortunately it was the food that let it down the bacon was so hard and over cooked, the eggs came out fried although I'd asked for poached, 2 tiny sosages and everything was just greasy, the toast beans and mushroom was ok but that's about it, luckily I'm not a fussy eater and didn't want to wait for it to be redone so ate it anyway but it was just a massive let down, especially at the price I paid I was expecting quality and it was probably the worst cooked breakfast I've ever had, maybe it was an off day but that's my honest review, the service was great and staff friendly.
