Great pub. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Great selection of beers and new guest ales each week. Food is excellent and good value for money. I recommend the chilli burger.

I have recently had my 21st birthday party at The Newtown Pippin and they were brilliant!! So well organised and such great communication. The food options were endless and the team were so accommodating. The food its self was amazing and had many compliments from our guests. On the day, the room was decorated so beautifully. We will definitely return for future parties. Thank you Vicki, Simon and the team!!

Great service and very good food

This pub is brilliant - an individual, family feel, friendly staff and great live music events, both covers and original music. On our most recent visit they overheard it was my Dad’s birthday and generously produced a cake and candle and got the whole pub to sing. Incredible example of going the extra mile. Would highly recommend.

Just had the stickey toffee pudding and ice cream, and cannot fault it, it was absolutely gorgeous. The serve is exceptional and and quick .

Lovely community pub and excellent food

The place is great. Food is amazing. Staff so friendly. A massive turn around to what it used to be like. You can take the family for a pleasant drink and a good meal.

Lovely place great customer service

I organised lunch for a party of 20. The food was excellent and great value, the service was fantastic and the beer was great. This friendly pub is a gem, the hosts deserve the awards they have recently received from Pride of Bracknell and the local branch of CAMRA.

It's good to sit out and have a beer when the sun is shining, but very quiet and lacking atmosphere. Does not really offer anything different compared to other pubs in the immediate area.

Food was really good, The owners are lovely ,friendly infact all the staff were. They were really busy but that didn't faze them.

We love this pub always such a nice atmosphere. We had Sunday roast for the first time this week and were so impressed! HUGE roast which was all well cooked, loved you get a big pot of gravy to yourself and just like I would make a roast at home, nothing fancy just a great big plate. We had beef and the vegetarian wellington and both were tasty. Then homemade crumble and custard! Yum. Great value as well!

Brilliant local Pub really really Friendly

Booked the Pippin for 28 for a celebration with friends and family. Ordered pizzas for everyone including vegetarian and gluten free options. Also spicy meats :). Fabulous food and service couldn't have gone better. I've lived near the Pippin for over 25 years and only started going in the last 2 years when they appeared in the CAMRA good beer guide. An excellent community pub and one that has been transformed

My daughter and son in law took me here and we watched the rugby. They love the dirty onion rings which I look forward to sampling one day. It was a lovely experience and I would be delighted to go back, such a friendly place and comfortable to be in and the drinks were very nice too

Me and my other half popped in for lunch on 08/03/24. This was our first visit and will not be our last. The pub was quite busy with people having lunch (there were only two free tables). The young lady behind the bar was warm and friendly and advised me straight away that there would be a wait for food. This was fine as we were not in a rush. We enjoyed a couple of drinks before our food arrived and wow it was worth the wait!! We had garlic bread and a couple of pies, both were delicious! The landlord and landlady both apologised for the wait for the food and were chatty and friendly. Finally, we have found somewhere that does amazing homemade food and serves great beer after 11 years of living in Bracknell!! Thank you to the team at The Newtown Pippin.

Went there for the first time lunchtime last week.Lovely place,good food,lovely staff.

When I was younger, I never visited the run down ugly germy pub that frequently attracted the vandals. But BUT, oh but fast forward a decade and a half later, I have heard about its turnaround by some good hearted kind people and decided to go. And oh my god. It now attracted the local friendly community and is owned by a wonderful couple and the bar staff are lovely. The inside of it is done up so nicely and the surrounding terrace is beautifully decorated. Glad it has won awards. Well deserved. I come in here to eat the lovely food they prepare. It's not just a pub, it's a community hub offering all sorts in the week. And look out for special events. There are some good hearted people who bought the pub and transformed it. Job well done. Glad a part of the surrounding area now has new life being breathed into it and not the opposite!!! And the portions were so generous too. very tasty good food. Thank you. cannot thank the owners enough.

Popped in here on a Sunday to get a bite to eat and was not disappointed. Both had burgers and they were really good along with some jalapeño poppers. Excited to see they now do roast dinners so will have to come back

Great local spot. We have become regular to the pippin after moving to the area. Simon and the team are extremely polite and accommodating and always go above and beyond to accommodate and meet the expectations of their customers. Food is excellent and portions are very generous. Lovely place to have a drink and a meal. Highly recommend!

Most improved pub 2022 and best pub 2023 awarded by SE branch of CAMRA. Not been to the Pippin in 50 years because it was so rubbish. Obvs now improved so had to check it out. Excellent Winter Wonder from Butcombe and Roasted Nuts from Rebellion. £5 a pint. Friendly young barman. Didn’t eat this time but the £10 lunch menu was seen to be popular with groups of the ‘older crowd’.

Local pub that has the feel of a community hub (in a nice way) - very friendly service and will return.

Great pub, Friendly and always a warm welcome As an Irish man, I'm very particular when it comes to drinking guinness. However, I must admit that for an English pub, it's by far the best I've tasted .Any time I've been in, there's always a good flow on the tap.

Had my Dads 60th birthday party here, what a night we had! Fantastic venue, amazing food and really lovely friendly staff. Would highly recommend for any family occasion/party. Thank you so much for having us all, Happy new year guys!

We had a great Christmas event today at Newtown Pippin. Our children were so happy to meet santa and had very good presents of good quality, food and snacks and lots of activities to keep them busy for 2 hours. Also it was a very low price of 10£ for all of this. Later on, they had Christmas disco which lasts for 3h with a good dj which kept them intertained and busy dansing and playing games. Looking forward to the next events. Keep it up Newtown Pippin! Thank you for all your work on this ❤

Great locals pub with three real ales. Friendly staff, good atmosphere. I had JW Lees Autumn Drop 4.2. Quality beer. Highly Recommended

We had a really nice lunch here with our friends, lovely food, the over 65 lunch deal is well worth it, and really friendly, helpful & conscious staff, will definitely return 🤗

A jewel of a place in a Bracknell community. I went on a Saturday afternoon. There was live sport in the main bar and live music in the other. Food looks great, friendly barstaff.

To put it simply I love this pub! A true community based establishment that offers a variety of entertainment. Quality beer and ale, and the food is bloody tasty - even for a fussy vegan like me!

This place is lovely. The atmosphere is very friendly, it's massively dog friendly which is great, and they have a good selection of drinks. I don't go often, but when I do I am never made to feel like I've walked into a locals place with locals only etc. The food is amazing and the look is quirky and cute. I love the colours used and different seats etc. Definitely recommend.

What a great friendly pub, I visited alone whilst working in the area, I was immediately made to feel very welcome, by staff and locals, I will definitely call in again if I'm in the area.

Great burgers, great real ale, friendly staff. From the outside, this pub looks very ordinary and ( apparently) it used to be. We three ( grandfather, son and grandson) really enjoyed ourselves.

We go there for a friendly Thursday quiz. Very good. Limited menu but staff are all very lovely. The quiz takes a long time but it's good fun.

Incredible Real Ale, and range of drinks. Great atmosphere with a focus on community. Great range of food including offering great veggie and vegan food. Quiz nights are brilliant fun and the live music here every other Wednesday is fantastic.

Me and my partner decided to visit for lunch the bank holiday just gone and I have to say what a wonderful experience we had. We had a small problem with our food order but they identified it and came to us with a refund for the extra item we had ordered accidentally. This may not sound much but so many places wouldn't have bothered. On the subject of food it was delicious, fresh, and VERY well portioned! Lots of scrummy things on the menu to try (we will be returning) By far the best thing for us was how warm, friendly and welcoming the staff were. They were attentive and chatty and couldn't do enough for you. The pub has a wonderful atmosphere. There is real warmth and community here. So much going on at this pub too, lots of music and other events! Thanks for a wonderful afternoon.

We’d booked our children in for a swim clinic over the road and popped in for a drink and some lunch. Honestly from the outside, we really weren’t sure what we’d find however this was the nicest lunch we’ve had for a while. We ordered a couple of jacket potatoes which came with a deliciously fresh salad and we’re done to perfection with fresh ingredients. We normally go to the Golden Retriever when we meet up however the warm welcome we received from the Pippin is far better than at the Retriever and whilst the food choice is smaller, we’d rather support this lovely husband and wife and help make their pub a success. Thank you!

What a brilliant little hidden gem of a pub! Super friendly team, great beer and even better atmosphere!

I visited the pub on a Friday afternoon in January and I was only there for about an hour as me and my friends decided to leave as the bar staff were extremely rude to us and we ordered food and it was dry and there was no flavour, I had visited the pub a few years ago before the new owners came along and it was horrible with an awful reputation so we hoped that it would be better now. However, the owner looked miserable and didn’t seem to want to be there at all and we could hear a lady in the kitchen complaining to what sounded like a child about the customers and about her own personal issues while making our food, no wonder the food was terrible the cook was too concerned about talking about herself. I will never visit again and I recommend you don’t either

Lively, friendly local with an excellent menu and plenty of it! Good selection of real ales and pleasant, attentive staff. Anyone who knew what this pub used to be like will be astonished at it's transformation under the new owners who have worked miracles.

We decided to pop in to the Pippin today for a spot of lunch. We have been in a few times for a drink but not for food. We had the nicest beef nachos & fajitas today. Simon the landlord is so nice & its definitely worth a visit!

The new owners have transformed this local pub. I visited it once under the previous management and didn't return until the new owners took over. The owners and their staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient. The decor inside and out is just lovely, with care, attention to detail and thought given - colourful, bright, welcoming with lots of lovely little touches (e.g. a bottle of sunblock in the ladies loos in the summer). The food is fantastic, fresh, home cooked, and they cater for vegans. They have live music monthly and the atmosphere is fantastic. They are a family friendly and also dog friendly pub. This is definitely my new favourite local.

Since new ownership this pub has completely transformed, the food is great, the staff are all so friendly. We go most weeks to the pub quiz on a Thursday and get half price pizza! It really is a wonderful little pub and they have great events too. Such a transformation and we all really enjoy going regular now. Can’t wait to see this place grow.

After visiting for food and drinks as a small family outing initial start up was good. Bar staff became a bit pushy about buying shots and was regularly delivering them to the table with a card reader about an hour and half in we were approached by an aggressive rude women and asked to leave the premises. She made wild accusations without evidence and came across rather aggressive!!! Seems to be if your face fits sort of place!!! Never had a problem with the previous owners 🤷‍♀️

Friendly staff, great quality (and reasonably priced) food and drink since the new owners took over. Live music is excellent and a good atmosphere. Never really visited under previous ownership and now go there all the time, which says it all really. Don’t be put off by the old reputation , it’s chalk and cheese. Kid friendly aswell. Well worth a visit

A friend and I booked a table to eat dinner and have some drinks. I had a lovely pizza with a generous amount of toppings! We shared a chocolate cookie pizza for pudding (I would defiantly recommend it!). Was quite busy which gave it a good atmosphere. Will defiantly be coming back.
