We went for breakfast after the referb. Refurb looks good unfortunately toilets haven't been done and they were the thing that really needed doing. Bacon had bones in, beans were cheap watery beans. Sauces we're just in bottles and most of them were empty. No staff around on breakfast when items ran out so customers left just waiting and waiting. This was the second time in 7 days and both times were the same. Staff were cheery enough but clearly they cut corners with staffing. All this could be rectified so easily but these areas continues to let them down.

Always come here for the breakfasts :)

Sophie, our server, was very quick and lovely! Very relaxed environment and stunning food! Jender the chef was charming with a big smile! Yeh refurb looks amazing!

Visted for a bite to eat, usual pub food, the place wasn't busy and got served quickly. Recently been decorated so clean.

Had a carvery here, first time in over 7 years, as the place looks amazing from the outside, as its been recently updated. Unfortunately, food was not Great. Roast Potatoes tasted like they were from what was leftover yesterday, hard and dry, rest of the vegetables were just OK. The turkey itself was good, and you get a decent portion. The pint of beer I had with the meal was Flat, and I didn't drink even half of it. Shame really, nice looking place inside and out, but unfortunately we won't be be going back.

I was defeated by "the works" carvery, a bit of everything lol. Absolutely delicious, next time I'll have less so I can get a dessert 😋👌

First time visit, went for breakfast. Pay at bar for help yourself buffet breakfast, tea, coffee served at bar. Unlimited top ups on tea, coffee. The building looked as though it had recently been refurbished, very smart interior with a cosy feel although a large place. Coffee was very good, PG teabag for tea. The buffet breakfast was adequate but not exceptional, extra price added for mushrooms...... unusual. The fried eggs were cooked to a rubbery costituancy, black pudding hard, the fried bread, bacon and sausage best I've had in a pub. Tomatoes, beans, waffles, hash browns also available. Toast was offered as a self service with butter jam and marmalade available. The Staff were polite and helpful but extremely under pressure because of high volume of customers. Refills of tea, coffee were at bar which increased pressure on staff. To summarise, a pleasant place, slightly disorganised, great staff, lost a star on food presentation (hard eggs, black pudding and extra charge for mushrooms).

What can I say. Refurbished place but very much the same poor quality. Went to see if it had been improved after the refurbishment. Sadly food was very much up up the original poor standard. Chicken dippers and Sothern Fried Chicken overcooked. Main was dry and tasteless. Staff never asked how meal was, guess they knew. Will not be returning and I would avoid this place.

Beautiful meal yesterday when I came in a for a meal with my family food was delicious and the bubble waffle was huge but so tasty amy our server was friendly and smiley will be going back again soon

Tuesday went in for breakfast , there were no plates out, and a young lad Got them from underneath the counter ,grunted do u want a plate, the bacon was awful, rock hard, the sausage yuck , very Herby ,needs to be just plain , mushrooms need to be put out and not to order, the only people that were pleasant to talk to , were the girl behind the bar, and the girl clearing the tables..it's put me off coming in, I hope the carvery is a good standard as it always has been.

Arrived here after the refurbishment with my family. I have to say that our starters didn't arrive together and one of us had not finished our starter and the main meal was bought out. The carvery was disgraceful. So, as a family, we came out to eat together but ended up eating our meals separately. I wouldn't recommend this to family and friends. Your money is better spent elsewhere. I'll be going back to The Bentlands for service and quality of food.

My experience was far from satisfactory. i will not be returning here. Food: The quality of the food was extremely disappointing. Starters came out at completely different times. we didn’t get to finish our starters before they started bringing out our mains. Carvery had lumpy mash, hard roasties, hard peas & hard carrots Service: The service was equally disappointing.The staff was inattentive and took a long time to take our order Overall: Given the poor food quality, subpar service, and unappealing atmosphere, I cannot recommend this restaurant. It was a disappointing experience, and I hope they make significant improvements.

Went for breakfast was served at bar by Amy, jess at the carvery counter, both amazing and pleasant. Believe the chef was gender, food was amazing!

All you can eat buffet breakfast is awesome. It really tastes great for the price.

I always go for a breakfast after finishing work with a colleague and it never fails to disappoint staff and food always on point today wasn't any different other than it has has a lovely make over making it alot brighter well done all especially Amy who always goes above and beyond.

Great carvery wonderful service the atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful lovely inside and outside recommend to go there for a carvery in Tettenhall.

Food was absolutely delicious by our chefs, Mike and J ender. Chicken on burger was cooked to perfection and gammon was absolutely delicious from the carvery. Sophie, our host was exceptional and continued to remain professional even after receiving some disrespect from other customers. Amy B was efficient and a lovely, bubbly person to have as our server. Overall amazing experience.

“The full works carvery” No pigs in blankets, one teaspoon of mash, one slice of fatty beef, half a slice of turkey. Joke.

Food was freezing when delivered. I ordered the full works carvery and it had 1 slice of very very fatty beef. It was not edible. Tiny bit of potato. Box just filled with undercooked veg. Kids meal was cold but dripping with oil.

Absolutely amazing visit this evening for the re-opening of the pub after it's refurbishment. Wow what a difference in the building. It is so lovely now and there are so many aspects of it to mention but table 25 will definitely be used again. Will add some pics from the visit this evening.

Enjoyed the all you can eat breakfast and top up coffee here this morning. Both food and coffee were good and fairly priced. Special shout out to Sophie at the bar who was very friendly and cleaned up the coffee I clumsily spilt and made me a fresh cup with no trouble. Many thanks. Will be coming back.

Having been to many pubs claiming to sell cocktails, then when they make them don’t have the ingredients and never look like they do in the photos. I was pleasantly surprised when I was made this strawberry mojito by Sarah. It not only looked good but tasted amazing. 👍

Wasn't a fan of the carvery food and the waitress decided to bring the card machine for my desert whilst I was still eating it... 2nd visit - average food, needs some money imvesting it looks tired inside and some of the seats are very badly ripped and the foam is sticking out. Shame given the nice location. Spft drinks are expensive too over £3.50 for a pepsi max.

just moved back to the area and I was dead excited when I saw you guys were delivering. But I'm so disappointed. First, I didn't get the sauce with my battered mushrooms, which were SO soggy with grease. The chicken burger had the flattest SF Chicken fillet I've ever seen, basically just coating, with about 3 tiny pieces of red onion and half a soggy piece of lettuce, but WAY too much sauce. It also wasn't wrapped properly so was almost cold. The chips were fine. Dead disappointed though.

The table and chairs were misaligned, four of the seven dishes we ordered they did not have. The window sills need a good clean as they were full of cobwebs and not just one but a number of them. We ordered two cocktails long island ice tea and they never had any but yet still all the individual items were there on the bar. Same with the dark fruits. There was no bottomless ice cream. Pretty disappointing for Father’s Day afternoon lunch.

Amazing dinner at the Newbridge! The customer service from Sarah was above and beyond. She has been more than welcoming and made it a fab experience.

Negative Review:I want to highlight that the food was five stars.It's unfortunate that I have to leave a negative review given the excellent food, but my dissatisfaction stems from the service. I visited on Monday to take advantage of the 50% off burger offer. Despite being told several items on the menu for both food and drinks were unavailable, we eventually found something to eat and drink.When I received the bill, I noticed the 50% off for the burgers hadn't been applied. When I asked the server about it, she said it was because I had used the Blue Light Card. I asked why I wasn’t informed earlier, and she replied that I still got a discount. She then offered to get the manager to refund and reapply the discount. However, when the manager arrived, he said it couldn't be done. With a long queue behind me and only one server, I had to accept it, but I was unhappy as we rarely go out on Mondays except for special offers like this.I had visited a few weeks ago and noticed the service wasn’t great then either, but the food made up for it. It's such a shame that this simple task couldn’t be resolved properly.

A typical Stonehouse pub...been to a few and all extremely similar. So not a particular problem with that . Pleasant staff.

Slow service and while waiting to be served for carvary the staff walk past like your not standing waiting. Seem abit rude. Too hot in the pub.

the food was well cooked and plentiful however it was delivered barely warm and the Yorkshire pudding was rather hard

Ordered 2 x Carvery for the first time and was unsure what to expect. The quality of the food was excellent and portion size plentiful. There was also a good selection of vegetables and just the right amount of gravy. Would recommend and will be using again.

We had a table with adults and kids and although there were 6 of us, it still took over 45 mins to bring food out. This bearing in mind with a pub which was quiet. Service was sub-par. Carvery was dry and lifeless. Rest of the food was average. I'm just glad we were able to use a 25% off voucher otherwise we would have made a point to the non existent staff. Shame this place hasn't really improved over the years massively. This was a Friday early evening when you think you'd be getting geared up for a busy weekend stint but even when we left, it was still pretty quiet. Think that says it all.

I felt like I was eating someone else's rejected carvery,ordered beef and turkey and I was given one slice of turkey,not happy at all with this service,doubt I'll be ordering from here again

It was a very pleasant evening, the food like always, the carvery which is what we normally tend to have, great for the price, the staff always make us feel welcome, they are smiley and attentive. The place was tidy and clean. Sophie was very helpful and helped us sneak the birthday cake out and back for the person that was celebrating her birthday. Thank you Sophie! Life saver. No booking but we were quickly sorted with a table.. Me and two kids. I recommend to use app for orders as its speed up the ordering procedure a lot. Generous portions of fresh and gorgeous carvery (Sunday menu) me and my kids were stuffed. Delicious. And now they participate in the Too Good to Go programme. No brainer for me if I am feeling hungry late at night.

I have been a regular in the Newbridge since 2009 and having seen staff come and go it's always good to see new people fit in well . One such new member of staff is Sophie who has been working on the bar looking after customers for food and drinks alike. A very pleasant, enthusiastic and helpful to customers and members of staff alike. A mention to Amy,Jenny and Sarah longstanding staff who look after newer staff like Sophie very well and shows through on the staff and customer community that has thrived throughout the last 15 years I have been going in there. Well done Sophie and well done Team.
