Great food and attentive service. Well paced to allow time to digest starters before the second course arrived. Wife got doggy bag as her portion was too much. No problem for the guys, they even gave her some extra rice for the dish.

Each dish looked the same except for a different colouring. Pakoras we're ready with too soon and meat wasn't tender. Used to be better place

We decided to try this lovely restaurant after a day shopping. We didn’t have a reservation however the welcoming staff happily found us a table. The staff are so friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was delicious and the portion sizes just perfect. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Without doubt the best independent family run Indian restaurant in Glasgow and the U.K. (as someone who has lived away from Glasgow in London for more than 12 years). Recommendation is the mixed chicken and haggis pakora to start and for main chicken tikka main (comes served in a hot cast iron sizzling dish) that I had with madras sauce, garlic naan and a pint of kingfisher… and service by Suba was outstanding with a warm friendly handshake as I sat to my table.

Visited the New Turban for the second time last night. As per our previous visit, the food and staff were absolutely amazing. A fantastic menu offering a great selection and our waiter Malky offered great service and advice on which lamb curry to try. I would certainly recommend the New Turban and we will certainly be returning.

We had a family meal tonight. Fabulous food, fabulous service and a fabulous atmosphere. The staff were great, especially Sati, who was very polite and chatty. Highly recommended! 😋🥂❤️

Everyone enjoyed the food. Dietary restrictions were carefully observed. I wish they would write the names of the curries. It would be nice to have them labelled. Great food though. Would recommend.

Best Italian in town - Turbianos had been a staple of the Italian community for the last 10 years. There pizzas are second to none and there BYOS (Bring your own snorkel) night is not one to miss.

Visited Saturday 20/12/24 with family members. Manager seemed obsessed with making the point that although booked for 6 people only 4 had initially arrived. Started clearing places etc until told to stop. Waiter was abrupt throughout our visit and even stood tapping pen on pad while waiting for our order! Food was tasteless and definitely only average or below, though vegetable pakora starters were good. Slightly disconcerting bill arrived being just a hand written piece of paper from the pad with numerous numbers written on it. Quite sure it didn’t add up but couldn’t be bothered querying. Waiter then seemed further annoyed that not all were paying by cash. Couldn’t find our coats as we were leaving and definitely won’t be back. Ashoka South side is only down the road!!

I’ve definitely had worse, but for £28 I was expecting so much more from this place this evening. Very, very bland fish pakora and desi lamb handi - this really isn’t on guys, I’m sorry, you can’t charge £17 for a lamb dish that’s basically a tomato oil bath with chillis.

The food quality was bad. The curry was very oily and the roti was not edible.

Takeaway was cold and disappointing. The traditional dish i ordered was nothing like what I expected at all. Bland and so different I think it was the wrong dish. The peppers in it were raw, the sauce uninspiring. Shame. I was looking forward to it .

Nan was crispy and too thin - in general food is overpriced - you think you are paying for quality but you get mediocrity. We were also supposed to get a freebie which never arrived. Unlikely to order from here again

Brilliant food, excellent service, highly recommended. Even our special request for a thin crispy Naan was of no trouble for this lovely friendly restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. we would definitely return.

Authentic and highly interesting dishes served by extremely genuine and friendly staff. I would recommend a visit to this fine long established family business to anyone. Make a point of coming down, you’ll be looked after by a fantastic team with a true passion for their business.

The worst meal I have ever ordered. The curries were watered down and could only taste burnt from the food. Mixed pakora bag was all thrown in a bag. So disappointed, as we used to love this Indian!

First visit & wont be the last. Warm friendly welcome from the minute we walked in to the minute we left the restaurant. Started with chicken pakora which was delicious then our waiter recommended some main courses when we told him what we usually would order in an Indian restaurant. His recommendations were spot on as everything was amazing. Looking forward to our next visit already.

Easy my new favourite Indian in Glasgow. Me and my partner came here for our anniversary and were blown away with how good it was. Everything was fresh, the service was quick, and the staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. I honestly couldn't fault the experience, even if I wanted to. Would highly recommend the prawn Puri, was absolutely devine. Parking is very limited outside so you are better off taking the minimal amount of cars.

Hard to beat. It's good, isn't it? I just am a fan of a good Indian. I find the new Turban excellent and not gone a miss yet. Best enjoyed with friends and tales from old. Drink responsibly.

Ordered delivery. Garlic naan had no garlic, butter or oil on it. Under cooked and inedible. Chicken was dry in both curries. Curry sauces were average at best. Never again. Not cheap either, waste of £45. Even the mint yoghurt sauce had no flavour, how can it be that bad?

Ok, but not as good as my previous order. The onion bhaji rings should be deleted from the menu and replaced with normal onion bhagis. Curry and naan was very good though.

Out for a meal on a Thursday night. Good food, so many choices, it was hard to decide what to have. We had a great meal and then the staff dashed out to the car to tell us we'd left too much tip as two 20's were stuck together!

I had a meal from here about 2 years ago and it was really tasty therefore I was looking forward to going back. I ordered a takeaway for collection beforehand and arrived to collect after about 25mins. My order wasn't ready so I had to wait a further 20mins. The food was not worth the wait. The curries were absolutely bland. The prawns were tiny and cheap frozen crap. Also had a sore tummy after eating some. A waste of money and I won't be back

I'd say this is the best Dal Makhni I ve ever tasted in Glasgow city byfar. Yummy food!

Our food was lukewarm - Nan was cold and dry. The chicken in my chasni was dry and generally just did not enjoy - was our first home delivery and we were very disappointed.

Overall this was a good dining experience. Service was terrific. However, some of the slow cooked lamb was not so tender, and my partner said some of the chicken Tikka pieces were a little tough.

The mixed grill was not of great quality. Chicken was all bone, with two small prawns, two lamb and two small chicken tikka and was £23!

We couldn’t wait to try here but unfortunately it we did not receive a great meal. Cold pakora, brick hard naan that had half of it missing and very dry chicken. Didn’t appear like a freshly made order at all. Really disappointed as we have heard great reviews 😔

Disappointingly poor quality of food. Mixed pakora was stale & tasteless, the chicken pakora, was chewy, stale and poor quality, the vegetable pakora was the same, and haggis (if it was haggis) was stale and utterly tasteless. Whilst the sauce for the Chicken Ceylonese was ok, the chicken itself was poor quality and chewy. The Peshwari naan was cold, stale and like the majority of the rest of the meal inedible, we threw out more than we ate. All in all a complete waste of £40. Needless to say we will not order from here again, and recommend others do not order from here either.

Recent trip back to Scotland taken here for dinner. 2nd time now in 2 years,for great service and outstanding food. Love this place and cant wait to get back!

no veg in the veg pakora, then I find a bit of grass in my curry .spent over £30 ,not impressed. wouldnt never order from here again .veg pakora with no veg ,mostly gram flower....called restaurant they said compressed veg in pakora ,ok whatever, dont want to give you any veg in a veg pakora, makes no sense. dont understand why you cant get a decent veg pakora these days

Got a takeaway for an about 30 people, big order, it was amazing. Everything was hot when arrived, it was incredibly fresh and tasted outstanding. The guys helped be judge the quantity and it was just perfect. Thank you so much!

The delivery was good! But, the food quality wasn't great, there was barely any salt in the biryani we ordered :( Chicken tikka also wasn't so fresh, seemed like made several hours ago... Disappointed to get this food from a good restaurant!

After a long walk around Rouken Glen pond and waterfall,this was avery welcome first time visit to this most excellent restaurant.I am a very big fan of asian food and have visited many of Glasgow's finest.This restaurant ranks very highly with the best of them.Firstly, staff are excellent. So friendly and welcoming.I can never understand,anyone working in a restaurant,who does not want to have friendly interaction with clientele.It encourages customers to return and makes your time at work more enjoyable⁸ and interesting. No problems with that in this restaurant.Food is a joy, excellent quality dishes, well presented.I have always thought presentation is the first thing that catches the eye of the diner. Secondly comes flavour.Does it taste like it should?⁹At Turban it certainly does.Tonight we had a two course feast (portions are ample) with poppadums and really tasty Paratha.We drank only water, which all came in at a modest £42 for two.I thoroughly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.Advance bookings are preferable,though staff will do their utmost to accommodate walk in customers as we were this evening.Thank you Turban for a most enjoyable culinary experience.

Tried the Pre-theatre menu and wasn’t disappointed. Well looked after by Tommy and Jay, the pleasure was all ours! Great value for money and the food was as good as it always is. Chicken chat and the piping hot nan bread deserve a special mention.
