Usually a great service from the Red Fort unfortunately this time delivery was late and meal wasn’t as good as it usually is

No poppadoms received and only about 6 little bits of chicken! Very poor!

Ordered two curries - one vegetarian and one chicken. Restaurant gave me two chicken ones and then wouldn’t do anything to help when questioned about it. I was told to take it up with Just Eat if I wasn’t happy. Luckily I got refunded by Just Eat, but I was left hungry that night. Really poor service and the overall opinion of the curry was not a positive one, flavourless. Won’t be back!

Much improvement from last time, where staff lied about delivery being on way, when it was actually 3 hours late. Glad the service has got better as being using this shop for years and would be sad to see it go down hill, after all there are plenty of other quality Indian restaurants.

It was my father's 60th birthday and we decided to find restaurant and the Red fort came up from recommendations from a few people and I was like I'll check the reviews. So I tried to refuse and their only four reviews pertaining the dining experience out of 80 reviews. So I decided to take us to there. He is our experience. As we made our way to our table, I couldn't help but notice the abundance of plates scattered across the tables, seemingly for display purposes. These plates were never utilized during our meal and appeared to serve solely as decorative items, intended to create a restaurant-like atmosphere. However, their presence only added to the awkwardness of the dining experience, as they were awkwardly pushed aside when plates came from the kitchen. The lack of waiting staff further contributed to an overall sense of disarray, with only one person, possibly the owner, manning the counter and attempting to handle both cashier duties and waiting tables. However, it was evident that he may not have had much experience in waiting tables, which led to an awkward and somewhat unprofessional dining experience. The seating, while functional, left much to be desired. The chairs, seemingly untouched since the restaurant's inception, were uncomfortably hard, making for an unpleasant dining experience. Additionally, the lighting was either excessively harsh or inadequate, contributing to a lackluster ambiance. Despite these shortcomings, the food at The Red Fort exceeded expectations. As one would anticipate from a takeaway restaurant, the dishes were flavorful and satisfying. However, it's worth noting that the dining atmosphere felt somewhat soulless, with barely audible music failing to create a welcoming ambiance. A noteworthy aspect of the dining experience was the beverage service. Drinks were served in cans, as the restaurant lacked any beverage dispensing machines. While this approach may have contributed to the overall sense of awkwardness, it is understandable given the restaurant's focus on takeaway service. In light of these observations, I would recommend The Red Fort consider updating its decor to address the outdated elements and enhance the overall dining experience. Alternatively, I would suggest that the restaurant fully embrace its strengths in takeaway service and consider abandoning the dine-in experience altogether. The impact of COVID-19 on The Red Fort cannot be overlooked. Like many establishments, the restaurant struggled to adapt to the challenges posed by the pandemic. With the rise of delivery apps such as Just Eat, Deliveroo, and Uber Eats, many restaurants, including The Red Fort, shifted their focus to takeaway service. While this transition may have helped the restaurant survive during difficult times, it has undoubtedly changed the dynamic of the dining experience. In conclusion, while The Red Fort may excel in its takeaway offerings, the dining experience leaves much to be desired. For those seeking a memorable dining experience, I would recommend exploring other options in the area. However, if you're simply craving delicious Indian cuisine to enjoy at home, The Red Fort is certainly worth considering."

food came fast no problem with that food arrived AV eaten out this place since a was a kid last couple times haven't been great but tonight took the biscuit mushroom pokora could of smashed a window with them Nan bread tasted shop bought and over cooked could of slices Ur mouth open with it and to top it of my south Indian curry tasted like sour milk and chicken tikka pieces felt like the had been cooked days ago then reheated like rubber bullets red fort never again went to pot

Been a customer at Red Fort over 30 years, in the last 3 or 4 years the quality of food has very much decreased, although still enjoyable, the service is now rediculous, ordered at 7pm and food wasn't delivered until 9.30pm, was told on phone driver was on way, only to see estimated time on website change a further 25 minutes, just be honest with your customers if you want them to return.

After 11 years of using, thoroughly disappointed. Quoted a delivery time of 1.5 hrs on ordering, over 2.5 hrs later delivery was received. Only order updates we got were when order was 20 mins late to be told would be with us in 30 mins. Then after further 40 mins to be told another 15 mins When order arrived, the Jalfrezi was a korma. None of us like Kormas. Also had requested this to be 'Hot', absolutely no spice/heat at all as was a Korma. Also had paid extra for onions & peppers in the South Indian Garlic Chilli. No additional onions evident, only 4 small pieces of what appeared to be green chilli but no peppers found. Quality usually spot on but delivery times been hit and miss of late. Both quality and timings very badly wrong tonight

I buy from here all the time but both the special chicken pakora and in the mail meals, the chicken was dry and seemed reheated.

Food was ordered at 7:15 and was estimated between 8:20-45 and don’t come till 9:50. Had to contact them twice about the lateness. Requested money back but was refused and given the excuse that the driver was stuck in traffic. We live just at fire station and there was no traffic issues. This is very poor from a restaurant that we really enjoy the food.

Arrived 2hrs after ordering & poppadoms were stale. Had called after an hour to ask if order had been received to be told waiting on driver returning & would be next delivery. 30 mins further & nothing. Query with just eat to then get reply they were cooking it now

It's a shame that the food is so good because delivery and communication is shocking. Checked to see that the app read "enjoy your food" yet we had not received it. Prompted for the restaurant to be contacted to be told it was now delayed for half an hour. The new delivery time was then still not met and we had to wait another half hour!! When the food arrived the delivery person didn't even apologise, just made a comment saying people hadn't been accepting it. Very very poor.

Garlic Nan missing, chips soft & soggy, chicken pakora chewy & soft, poppadoms tasted weird. Overall very disappointed in this meal that wasn't enjoyable at all.

Food was ok, I’m convinced they gave us the same 2 curries. They tasted the exact same and looks the exact same. They both were quite bland. Other than that everything else was fine. Delivery was about 30 mins late. Ordered at 7.45 was given a delivery time of 8.40-9.00pm and it arrived about half past 9

We ordered at 630 pm, had to call twice delivery eventually reached me at 835pm! Have used this local business for 30yrs and will never use again

We ordered 2 meal offers totalling £50 and paid extra for peshwari nan but we didnt get it . Food was lovely as always but this was disappointing.

I don't give negative feedback lightly and have been a satisfied customer of the Red Fort for 20+ years.. However, a delivery time of 2 hours 5 minutes is simply not acceptable. If you can't accommodate an order within a reasonable time frame then don't accept it. Very disappointing.

Order took almost two and a half hours to arrive and there was food missing. Veg pakora was not warm, pakora sauce smelled vinegary somehow, the rest of the food okay but the missing rice made it hard to enjoy the curries.

Previously had numerous currys from red fort and were all very nice. Tonight I ordered a curry for me and my partner at 7 pm exactly, did not receive this until 9 30 pm, shocking!!! If that wasn't bad enough I received the wrong curry for my partner. Called to mention this and hardly understood a word of English from the apparent boss. Finally near the drawn out conversation that I tried to tune into I was told that they would deliver my partners curry low and behold I got it at 10.22 pm

Really disappointed. Chicken pakora was not nice. Chicken in both curries was rock hard. The garlic naan and chips were the only redeeming thing.

Last 2 orders received had sauces which differed from previous orders. Each had a strong vinegary tang which took away from the smooth flavour which we were used to. Not sure if I want to try again.

First time I’ve been disappointed. The chicken pakora was reheated and the chicken was dry and chewy.

Been using Red Fort for over 20 years and always has been excellent, but recently they have been getting my order wrong everytime. 4 times in a row now they have missed an item or missed half of the order. Now waiting another hour on top of the hour and a half I’ve already waited for my original order to come. Just disappointed they used to get my order right everytime.

4 times I have ordered over Christmas period and 3 times they have forgot something meaning 3 times I have had to come back to collect meaning the rest of my order gets cold customer service is shocking manager not even an apology then order again to get a munchy box delivered with all veg pakora like 5 chips and very few peices of chicken or anything else manager again rude saying it’s based on veg no if I wanted a veg pakora I would have ordered for half the price! Won’t be back and it’s a shame as I was a repeat customer and used to love the food!

Got carry out last night was very poor, Pakora must have been reheated a few times before we got it, Ckicken tandoori was burnt black and very dry. Chasni sauce was very watery and tasteless, all in all very disappointing. Won't be using again.

For a while I've thought the quality of food at Red Fort has suffered, such a, shame as it was always renowned for its quality and taste. However, I had food delivered and noticed a significant difference from previous orders, hope the owners have gone back to the previous quality and commitment we all know and love from the Red FORT

Delivery was quicker than stated which was great and by a pleasant delivery person which was lovely. The food was very nice, the pakora in particular a large portion. But, I ordered Karahi chicken saag with rice. I opted for the plain chicken 'not' tikka chicken. Tikka chicken was used and I'm not sure what type of curry I had. When I usually get a saag type curry it is predominately a green colour as spinach is used in the creation of the sauce, but this sauce was orange with no sign of spinach. As I say it was nice nonetheless. But when I order a chicken saag, that's what I want.

Mains, rice & nann spot on. Pakora wasn't fresh tasting but ok, however the pokora sauce isn't great. They forgot part of my order. Overall, would order again

Food tasted fresh, peshwari naan was tasty. Would defo recommend lamb pasanda and lamb chilli.

Curry is nice but service was absolutely shocking!! Had to reheat naan bread it’s nice but not so nice I should be having to over an hour for I won’t be using red fort again unfortunately.

The delivery driver had to go back as they didn't give him the whole delivery. Also, I'm not sure if it was a different chef or they changed the recipe but it wasn't as good as before

Food excellent as usual, however we were informed AFTER placing order that there was an extra £5 delivery charge due to a road closure, making delivery £8. Normal route is 5 miles, with closure it us was 6.3 miles. As we thought this was OTT, we went down and collected ourselves. On getting home we then found our Naan was missing. Poor overall, not sure we’ll use again. We use Red Fort a lot, so disappointed with this experience. If they are going to charge extra, do it up front, don’t wait till order is placed, then phone customer to let them know this.

Probs the best pizza in Barrhead. Portion size of mixed pakora enormous aswel and amazing value for money. Top class.

Excellent chicken tikka masala and excellent consistency. Definitely recommend.

Order delivery times was moved twice during the order process. Driver was still late in delivering the order. For the food both Curry's were amazing (beef Rogan Josh and chicken masala). Side orders of garlic nan and chips plus vegetable pakora (nice kick). The only downside for the food was the pompadoms which tasted stale, sadly. Restaurant staff were quite quick in phoning to say an item from the order was unavailable and offered alternatives straight away. Will order again and hopefully not have the same grumbles next time.

Ordered saver meal only to be phoned and told the fish pakora isn’t on the menu for this meal. Suggest it is removed as an option as it was one of the reasons we ordered this choice
