Always love the chips and sausages from here. Puts a smile on both me and my gf's face!

Nice people, not keen on the meals. We won't be back ourselves. But i'd imagine it could be an acquired taste. Fu young was good but the fish what there was of it was not good at all. Sorry

Good chow mein and steak puddings...not together obviously. The owner told me he came over from Hong Kong in 1974, speaking almost no English and opened this place that year.

Well what can I say about these two little old love birds eh? This couple have had this Chinese for what must be 40 year at least. I remember when the counter was on your left as you walked in and the pair of them don't seam to have changed a bit! He does good salt n pepper spare ribs and if you ask the old fella for something specific he'll give you his version. She's never been the best at English so for best results ask for the captain and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I like a portion of dabs there. They're not to big and not to small and are a real treat. Hopefully this place will live on but I've never seen them with children? If this little Chinese relic ever comes to a close it will be the end of a oriental era. God bless them both.

This takeaway has been in Darwen for years! It hasn't really changed much either but the prices are great and the food is good, we love it as it's not as greasy as your typical Chinese.

Staying on business, 2 younger members of staff were helpful but the woman who appeared to be in charge was extremely rude and put a palm towards me while I was talking to her about what I wanted to order. Won't be back.

Stopped by the Costa at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital. The white hot chocolate was decent. The mozzarella and tomato panini was actually quite nice. Seating was comfortable and there were plenty of places to sit. Prices were on the expensive side, but that’s expected in a hospital setting. One downside: the woman who served me wasn’t very friendly, which took away from the experience a bit.

Called here for a drink after a walk with a friend visiting the area. My friend only wanted a glass of tap water and I ordered a cranberry juice. I was taken aback when the server said “That will be £4.00” and that she would bring the drinks out to the terrace for us. I started to wonder if there was a charge for tap water, but when the drinks arrived she confirmed quite abruptly that no, it was the cranberry juice that had cost £4.00. It arrived in a short tumbler, (not much bigger than a whiskey tumbler) with seven or so pieces of ice and was very definitely a cordial. It was so weak that the liquid only had the slightest pink hue. Felt absolutely ripped off - £4.00 for a small, very diluted cordial is an outrageous charge. Have previously called many times at this pub in the past, but will not return in future.
