Absolutely love the food here! There's such a huge range of dishes to choose from and they're made really fast and in amazing quality as well. My favourite is the half chips, half rice with curry sauce 😍🤤 Even better, with their new menu, they now have gluten-free options 🙌🏻🔥

Tonight is a sad night. Jackie has gone and the Golden Inn is under new management. I ordered my usual Honey Chilli Chicken and I am so disappointed. It's not a patch on what Jackie produced. It lacked flavour, the sauce was like flavoured water and to crown it all off, the price has increased considerably. Been supporting The Golden Inn for 20 years. Past by three Chinese restaurants to support Jackie but won't be back.

Must be a change in management. Food not as good. Been goin for years and food not the same. Portion sizes or prices not the same. Shame as I won't be back. Had a Chinese I went to for years, no longer the same.

I order from this place every week because i like their chips and gravy my kids don't, they get out off mao as their food is excellent and so is their customer service. Sometimes mao is mega busy so i running a little late in picking up the chip and gravy. For weeks now their daughter answers the phone and she doesn't ask my name just says "how long u gona be". To which i reply 5 to 10 mins but if mao food is not ready I'm maybe a bit late. So tonight i decide to collect mao's chinese before ordering. But when i rang several times she didnt answer, so I ask my son to ring from his phone to which she picked up straight away but u could almost hear her regret when hearing my voice, again her reply "how low u going be this time". When I collect chip and gravy 5 mins later it wasn't even ready. I have taking her rudeness for weeks now cause as i thought it was just the way she was, so when she took my payment i tried to explain why I was late, she just roared at me and went in to kitchen spoke to her dad in chinese and then sent him out when I tried to explain to him he then covered his ears and roared at me in chinese at least I think it was . Is it just me or is customer service a thing off the pass xx

Order chicken ball's chips and tub of curry sauce got It home chips were ok chicken ball's were not cooked water running out of them will never be back to there. Best place for Chinese is dervock.

Staff were very pleasant, large portions very tasty and at the right price. Enjoyed my meal.

Absolutely awful. Probably the worst excuse for Chinese food I have ever experienced. BBQ spare ribs in sauce - well those ribs were boiled, not even fried never mind bbq’d. Sauce? Still trying to work out what flavour that was. Cornflour, water and very little else. Then we move onto the special fried rice. Well if that was special I would hate to experience the normal. Big pile of mush. Tasteless. Wouldn’t insult my stomach to eat more than a few spoonfuls. All in the bin! Don’t even think my dog would have eaten that. Chips weren’t bad so maybe they could open a chippy instead because whoever that chef is in the kitchen they have NO skills in Chinese cooking!
