Been in once. I was grateful for an extra pub. Bus stop to Leeds over the road. Relaxing way to prepare your venture.

Great atmosphere. Small pub but looks great with lots of football paraphernalia. Live music which was great and food laid on if you wanted it. Got served quickly and the bar staff, manager and landlord were friendly. Good prices too. Would definitely recommend here if you want a comfortable but good night out.

great proper pub beer lovely and at a very good price terry the landlord was great and wish him and his sraff all the best for rest of the year and next year we be poping in before heading home

This is an exceptionally good pub. I came across it whilst picking up some homebrew kits from the shop next door, and was very glad. £2 sandwiches on the bar and had a fantastic pint for £3.50. The beer was kept incredibly well. If I am ever in this neck of the woods again I would be sure to come back. Landlord and lady very friendly too.

A great local pub with good beer, where the landlord seems to run it in the interests of customers rather than head office and accountants. Cherish and enjoy these places while they last.

Really disappointing. The place felt devoid of atmosphere. My half a Pepsi was flat as a pancake and my husband's beer reminded him of his home brew ( he gave up making it years ago because it tasted so bad ) Would not go again

Great micro pub with a selection of ales (Bingley Brewery is my favourite) and usually some sandwiches to choose from . Seating on two floors and an outside area when the weather allows. The prices are probably the best in the local area too. Highly recommended.

Not a big drinker but went a few weeks ago because my Dad was going and told me they had Karaoke there on Sunday's. Found out I had met the Landlord before, Terry who is a friendly fella 🙂. He used to run the Merry Monk pub previously. Heard the sandwiches are great too and the drinks are well priced. Pub full of character. All around very nice, decent pub and atmosphere. I did my thing on the karaoke and thoroughly enjoyed my couple of evening's with my family. Shout out to DJ Dave for his karaoke night and funny quips! 🤩👍🏻

A cracking little pub. Very welcoming. Loveley atmosphere. Very good selection of drinks with snacks at sensible (yorkshire) prices. Toilets are upstairs. On busy junction into Leeds. Other good pubs around so good pub crawling patch. Very busy last night(Saturday) don't know where the other people came from.

What a hidden gem! We were served by the LOVELIEST man and instantly felt at home. Top quality pints at a cracking price. This is absolutely my new local, couldn't recommend it enough!

Really welcoming and friendly pub. Offers outside seating overlooking a part of the River Aire. There is an abundance of bird life due to the manager regularly feeding the ducks, swans and geese. No dining but homemade sandwiches are sold and are very filling

Not much variety of beer here, but it is cheap, and the quality is ok. Sandwiches are a steal -- go get them! Beer garden also very pretty.

Good old fashioned boozer with great beer, down to earth regulars and doorstep sandwiches for sale at the bar. Terry the landlord makes you very welcome.

This is a nice traditional pub with relatively cheap drink prices. Offer sandwiches as well. The smoking area is really nice as it overlooks the river.

Well it's different. If you think it looks grubby from the outside wait til you go in!! Well worn would be complimentary the glasses weren't all clean the furniture's cobbled together and there's no water supply to the sinks in the ladies toilets and yet...... the music was great it has atmosphere the people are friendly and it has some great old photos of Leeds rugby on the walls would I go back - maybe 🤔

Small but full of character and very friendly. The beer garden is lovely in summer, overlooking the river, it feels very peaceful and you could almost be in the countryside even though you're in the middle of kirkstall. The sandwiches are fantastic, it's worth a visit just to buy one. The staff and landlord are always friendly and the pub itself is quite fascinating as it's full of weird and wonderful artefacts. Worth a visit.

A nice, quirky little pub with random knick knacks all around. Reasonably priced drinks. A handy meeting place and popular with many of the people I know locally.

Well what an absolute racist member of staff had just refused to serve both of us My friend felt so abused and in shock that this ignorant little jobshite is so offensive without ever knowing. May you decide to hide such subhuman behaviour and thought. Enjoy the ageing company and typical racist jokes and jibes whilst swilling Terry Wilson god forsaken gruel.

My local. Love it so many friendly faces and lovely people always making conversation. Able to watch football etc. 2 pints for 5.40 can't go wrong. Also selling 2 pound sandwiches. My local.

Always friendly when we call in & welcoming to dogs which is why we started going. Always have a few people enjoying a drink, but very quiet. Rear has a beer garden which overlooks the river. Somewhat of a hidden gem

Cheap drinks but needs to be cleaned up, my glass was dirty, the beer garden was full of tab ends and ash. It could be quite quirky if was cleaned up a bit.

Amazing and much needed community suppers pub in booming commercial area of kirkstall. 4 varied and interesting (very well kept) real Ales on for a price tasting 2 bar 80 new pence per pint. Legendary sandwiches as big as a small child's head for 1 bar 50 new pence. Well priced and well kept lagers stout And Smooth for the masses. Down to earth locals, committed lAndlord, lovely bar maids. Avoid getting into conversation with regular supper Cockney Keith.
