The New Dragon Palace in Renfrewshire

It was amazing just discovered the hot & sour soup best thing I have ever had just delicious gutted I was told they are closing the Dragons Palace on 1st December I can’t believe it so sad the best Chinese takeout for miles thank you for your great food over the decade plus years you’ll be solely missed ❤️

1st time trying and I will definitely be ordering again. Good sized portions and food was delicious.

Tiny portions and stingy with sauce, not really worth what they are charging

Once again we had a carry out delivered. Excellent service - we ordered a delivery at 5.15pm and by 6.05 our food was delivered. It was hot, tasty and great value. Would highly recommend this Chinese. We were kept up to date with order with regular text messages advising re delivery status.

Never had a bad meal from here but I must say they do the best kung-po beef I've ever tried and everything else I've ordered has been spot on thanks

Absolutely delicious meal - fresh, tasty and generous portions. First time I've used this restaurant but it's already a fave.

Food was hot when it arrived. Curry sauce was perfect and the salt and chilli chips/chicken were well spiced. Definitely recommend.

Restaurant service amazing I had made a mistake on my order and the women on the other side of the phone changed the order and I'm so thankful for her patience and kindness I will definitely be ordering from here again the food was delicious

Curry sauce is nice , I tried the blackbean special , very bland , I'd try a curry myself next time.

Delivery guy was so nice, forgot my drink the first time and he came back 5 minutes later after noticing it wasn't given to deliver it, genuinely made my day

Had to wait 81 mins, food was just warm, chicken fried rice was poor quality. Spicy chips were fried to an inch of their life and was poor no spice just chips with some mild chillis over them.

Absolutely delicious meal. So much chicken in the curry and the ribs were just so tender. Won’t go anywhere else now.

Food wasn't bad but salt and pepper chips are one to avoid just not good at all but chicken balls are nice and curry wasn't too bad either but salt and pepper chips were poor.

Delivery took an hour and a half to arrive, had to call the restaurant as it was marked as delivered well before it arrived

Yet another fantastic meal from the restaurant- very hard to find a better alternative in bridge of weir

Got to be the most disappointing and dissatisfying Chinese i have ever had in my life. The salt and chilli chips were just regular school chips it was as if they had just opened a bag bag of mccoy’s and thought it was acceptable with a couple of onions on top. Don’t even get me started on the chicken fried rice, the “chicken” was covered in jabba the huts slime it was literally plastic. Furthermore, the salt and chilli chicken was the only tiny bit of enjoyment and taste i got out of the meal. Truly disappointed, dissatisfied and heart wrenched that it was so bad from all the reviews i have seen before.

As always great tasting food that’s delivered hot to the door and also earlier than indicated at booking - definitely 5star

Having tried all the local Chinese takeaways in the Bridge of Weir and Johnstone area we find New Dragon Palace consistently excellent. The food is tasty and not bland as you can find with others, and they deliver when they say, no long waits!! I also recommend the large pancake rolls as a starter to share 10/10

Curry was good enough, rice good. The chow mein wasn’t nice though. Doesn’t taste like chow mein at all just gravy on noodles- with bits of uncovered chicken. So that could be better. X

Food was really delicious. Would have been 6 stars if you had put the sauce in a tub on the side of the shredded chicken as by the time it got here, the sauce had made it a bit soggy. It was still delicious though. Thanks, definitely order again.

I wasn’t too bothered about late delivery as I was kept informed, it was a Friday night and no eat in restaurant’s open so deliveries obviously very busy and delivery guy was pleasant too

The food was not the best rather poor. The chicken fried rice had done duet if sauce on top which was bland and spoiled the meal. Also chicken fried rice slobbery clumped together more like boiled rice gone wrong. Ordered once will not again .

Just visited the dragon palace for the first time and will so never be back. In over 59 years of purchasing Chinese takeaway this has got to be the worst. It’s was like chicken and gravy with fried rice without any taste at all. Bland bland bland and I will not return

Why on EARTH did the chicken chow mein have big globules of gravy all over it? Greasy, flavourless and the cubed chicken was dry and unappetising. Won’t be ordering again.

Third time have used recently...pre-ordered in the morning. Delivery came spot on my delivery time at 19.00 hrs. No complaints and food excellent as usual.

2 soups missed off order, called restaurant immediately, advised by person who answered phone that he would 'call driver' then put phone down...1 hour later and no soup or follow up call/explanation.

Delivered on time and tasted fantastic.

Food was good, however the delivery was 45 minutes late and half an hour after I had phoned.

Pre-ordered at 09.00 for 18.30 delivery. Order came right on time. Very pleased with this service. Food was excellent. Have used in the past pre-covid with no complaints.

It’s a real morale booster to have the option to order a Chinese Takeaway again in these trying times. The food itself was to a good standard, but one aspect of the order was wrong (Sweet and Sour chicken received instead of Chicken in plum sauce). We weren’t that fussed and it was certainly tasty. Hopefully this was just a teething issue.

Driver called a couple of minutes after it was due to confirm the address. 👍🏻 Food was warm, everything ordered was there. Chicken fried rice had an unusual dark gravy but kids loved it!

Ordered before 18:00 for 18:30. Still hadn't arrived by 19:25. My sister then noticed the Dragon Palace had disappeared from the list of local eateries. It turns out the takeaway was closed but I was still charged. It now says my order was delivered. I understand these times are testing but something's gone wrong, hence the bad review. I was unable to cancel the order and don't have a refund. I'm sure someone can sort this mess out. How many others have been affected. Dragon Palace FB page states they will open from 30th April until Sunday 3rd May to take online orders. What's the story? Web site says closed, FB says open 🤔

Food was absolutely incredible as always, piping hot, generous portions and delicious. Was a little late but complete understandable through lockdown. Grateful to get excellent food delivered
