A lovely quirky cafe, a marvellous surprise after the plain facade. Excellent coffee in interesting surroundings. Lovely service. An unexpected oasis of cool and calming busy day.

My friend and I went to this coffee shop to have a chat and a coffee. As we walked in, all the staff (all male) just stopped and stared at us as if we were aliens from out of space, no "hello", no "how may I help you" just uncomortable stares. Furthermore, I then said "good morning" to one of the staff and he just very rudely ignored me. I'm not sure why they feel it's ok to be so rude to customers, but rest assured we won't be going there again in a hurry. Such a shame as it's a lovely old building...

Having visited the gift/antique shop on the ground floor, we decided to visit The Nest on the mezzanine floor. We were the only people there and ordered sandwiches and coffee. Both were made to order and served on china crockery. The sandwiches would have done The Ritz proud. Excellent quality smoked salmon and cream cheese on granary bread with a salad garnish. Good quality coffee. 5 star food and service at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

A lovely independent coffee shop / cafe, in the city centre but away from the bustle. The cafe is upstairs on a mezzanine overlooking a vintage store. The service was superb, lovely warm welcome, helpful advice on food choices. I had a great coffee, some pink lemonade (freshly made) and a toasted sandwich. All great but the toasted sandwich was the winner! Unfortunately while I was there, it all started peacefully but was followed by a guy on a sander working on one of the outlets below - this made any conversation impossible as the sound echoed upwards. I’m sure that this was an exceptional event and know that it was out of the control of the cafe staff. Just a shame that they chose a Saturday late morning to carry out the work! Aside from this, I would very much recommend the cafe for its staff & quality. If you are a toasted sandwich fan you won’t be disappointed. I know I’ll be back.

Desperate for a cuppa we found this delightful building. Inside did not disappoint either. Had a pot of tea and toasted sandwiches, bone china cups made the tea taste fabulous. Didn't try a cake but they looked delicious. Toilets clean with free sanitary products if required. Steps to enter but the shop part is on level access.

Been in a few times, staff are polite, cheerful, helpful and service is quick and easy. Nice, and relaxed spot to have a reasonably priced coffee to escape the cold, and the vegan options are great.

Such a nice place for anyone who wants to have a nice cup of coffee and a chocolate brownie. Even though the brownie tasted a little different from others, but it tasted good. Even have a good view of St Michael's Street from the window, too.

The service and care that the cafe staff gave me and my elderly mother after a long, hot an abortive walk to the Tudor House (which was unexpectedly closed!) They charged my phone and kept an eye on my Mum while I ran back to get the car. I can’t thank them enough

We have visited a few times usually for their tasty donuts but today we stopped by for some lunch. We had the burden and Turkish bagel and it was genuinely the best bagel I have ever eaten. The staff are always lovely and helpful too.

Lovely little coffee shop on London Road, just what this area needed! Really chilled but cool modern place. Had one of the nicest Carmel cappuccinos and my friend had an iced green matcha! All round lovely place!
