Very comfortable place to be in children allowed in until 8pm! Which is handy when you just want a soft drink Love the staff Place is clean and well kept Highly recommend if you want a cheap beer good service and a lovely time!

Sounds like it’s gone down hill since I worked there a lot more lively and very busy with the old owners and the time of service and entertainment was a lot later really enjoyed working there but due to ill health and family issues I had to resign unfortunately which was a shame as I got a lot of experience and I was a quick learner which they were impressed with and they didn’t have no problems with the colour of people skin neither

No food just a great pub good music ladies toilets lovely and clean, mens not great but typical of a small pub We had a fab time

Cracking little pub, found en route to a date night and had a few drinks in here. Landlady and staff really pleasant and up for a laugh, gave us some great restaurant recommendations nearby. One of the regulars even bought us a pint after a win on the horses 🤣 Would certainly go again!

Staff is really rude, one person stated ‘brown people shouldn’t be drinking’ to me as if that’s a funny thing to say.

Honestly if you’re not white, don’t go to this pub. The owners are extremely racist. If I could I would give them a minus rating.

Proper pub, decent prices and a great darts set up. Raised oche, scoreboard, lighting - Perfect.

It stunk really bad. Table were sticky and though it's cheap in there, I honestly felt sick afterwards from bring in there. I don't even want to start on how filfy the toilets were... much nicer pubs in the area

Best pub in Didsbury. Lovely, welcoming staff and even friendlier locals. Garden really is something special, perfect for a cold pint on a hot summers day. Cleanliness is 5/5, little bit on the pricey side though.

Fantastic pub. Does specialty beers on draught. They also do bottles beers. Food is lovely. Staff are friendly & helpful especially as it was a Saturday night & busy. Great atmosphere

What a amazing establishment, the landlords are welcoming , if you want a piss up best place , but don’t take the mic. I’m 20 mins down but I’ll back again amazing place. It’s one of those places where you need to understand, pissed or if you don’t come

5 stars for atmosphere. This place is solid gold. Karaoke seemingly at all times, whatever sport they can find and some nice geezers. Cheap drinks, jolly good times. Recently sang Islands in the Stream here. Ah, good memories.

Cheapest pub in Didsbury and friendly staff and punters.

We went for the kareoke but they were very unwelcoming since we were not regulars. We just wanted to sing one song but the next 3 hours were already booked up by regulars of the pub so we weren’t allowed. I hope they all have a nice night but it will not be with us again

Kicked me out for not buying a drink, 10 mins after I just finished one.

Saturday evening packed out only 1 serving on the bar no one policing the floor didn't stay walked in and left ridiculous.

Was fairly decent and had cheap drinks and I was having a great time until the karaoke started. There were only 3 of us in there on a Sunday but for some reason the person running it felt it appropriate to start her several hour long audition for xfactor. Nobody wants it just please stop

It was drawing me in with the bright lights and the zesty clientele. One day I'll venture in. Has the vibe of a place that would be super depressing on Christmas eve

Covid rules in place which was fine but unfortunately the odour from toilets was horrendous...had to leave after 1 drink...hopefully was fault with drains not cleanliness!! Bar lady...lovely.

Ok pub but folk were allowed to swan about the place without face masks on, made me a little uncomfortable tbh.

Beltin little boozer in the heart of the village. Lovely friendly staff, drinks were decently priced too considering the location, a little beer garden would be ideal if the space was available.

Always liked it in the Nelson, but went in last night and with friends and met the new land lord and staff, they where lovely and really welcoming, I won't be leaving my next visit as long, great night and met some lovely people
