Booked for Sunday roast, amazing value and the best roast I’ve had since my old mums…. Totally recommend, cooked fresh to order, book a table to guarantee a table as can be busy

Fantastic roast this Sunday! The meat was perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. The Yorkshire puddings were light and fluffy, complementing the dish wonderfully. The vegetables were fresh and vibrant, adding a nice crunch. The gravy was rich and savory, tying everything together beautifully. Overall, it was a comforting and satisfying meal that truly captured the essence of a traditional Sunday roast. Highly recommend! Big Thankyou to Mic, Carl and the staff!

A very atmospheric place. A bit out of the way and slightly inconspicuous. The food is delicious. Fresh, which means a longer waiting time (and this information is on the bar), but it's worth the wait. Everything fit together perfectly - the place, the food and the atmosphere ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The Sunday roast was lovely , my only fault with it , was the food was just warm, could of been hotter..otherwise I’d of given 5* but will try it again as it was home cooked and good quality, very friendly and attentive staff.

We had the sharing roast beef on the bone Sunday special with 4 veg. This was the best Sunday roast dinner I have ever had in any pub. Add that to the warm service we experienced on the day from chef and bar staff it was a grand day. Will definitely return for more of the same. Thank you Mick, Carl, and the team at The Nags for a great Sunday.

The guy at the bar was great, but they ran out of all Vodka, which was strange for a pub in my opinion. On offering that we'll get a Bottle for them completely paid for and will even pay for drinks , they said no, so we had to move out to the Eager Poet in Neath Hill. It was a funny evening.

Love the Nags. I'm sure it's the oldest pub in MK, set in old Linford village, which has a church that is 1000 years old. The pub itself is a Greene King, serving a good array of lager and increasingly more ales and IPA's as well. A great pub with wonderful team. Good food. Good terraced beer garden that gets plenty of sun and has marquis for when it's wet but warm.

Nicely done-up but despite offering a number of beers, few of them is of the medium flavoured amber ale - they tend to be sharp bitter hoppy things. Almost all are Greene King beers and they are not well known for quality unfortunately. I prefer Doom Bar and recently (Nov 2022) the Nags has been selling Wadworth's 6X which I also like and now Speckled Hen too, so I'm much happier than pre-Covid. Its 5 minutes walk from home, and if the beer was more reliable I would go more often. Food good traditional pub grub.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at The Nags Head, Great Linford Rating: ⭐ My recent visit to The Nags Head in Great Linford left me incredibly dissatisfied. This establishment fails to meet even the most basic expectations for a pub, with confusing opening times, early closures, and exorbitant drink prices. Here's a breakdown of my disappointing experience: Opening Times: The opening times at The Nags Head are not only confusing but also downright ridiculous for a pub. It is unfathomable that they would shut their doors as early as 21:00. Pubs are meant to be places where people can socialize and unwind, and these restricted opening hours completely undermine that purpose. Bank Holiday Closure: To make matters worse, The Nags Head also closed early on a bank holiday. This decision is utterly baffling and inconvenient for patrons who were expecting the pub to be open during a time when people typically have more leisure time. Closing early on a bank holiday goes against the norm and shows a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Drinks Prices: Another aspect that adds to the disappointment is the steep pricing of drinks. Pubs should strive to offer reasonably priced beverages that cater to a wide range of customers. However, it seems that The Nags Head falls short in this regard, making it unaffordable and further contributing to the negative experience. In conclusion, my visit to The Nags Head in Great Linford was nothing short of extremely disappointing. The confusing opening times, early closures on bank holidays, and exorbitant drink prices demonstrate a complete lack of consideration for their customers. It is no surprise that pubs are struggling when they fail to open during normal pub hours and price their drinks unreasonably. I cannot recommend visiting The Nags Head if you are looking for a pub experience that aligns with common expectations.

Tldr; we like this place enough to drive 45 miles to it several times a year. I've reviewed the dog-friendly bar before, which is excellent, but that seems to have disappeared. On this visit, we sat on the riverside decking and ordered via the QR code. A very nice IPA was served very quickly. We then ordered a burger and a hot dog, which were also presented in less than 10 minutes by very friendly staff. The burger was nice, but I must say the hot dog looked so scrummy, I was tempted to order one for dessert! (I would have done if there was a way to order without chips.) We will continue to be regular visitors.
